Chapter 18 The Game Begins 11
When Sun Qijing took Sun Qiming outside, they both let go of their hands at the same time in tacit understanding, then looked at each other, hummed to each other, and both felt the same way in their hearts.
Qiuyue, however, saw the two of them coming out and immediately went over to them, holding one of them by the hand. "Master Eldest, Master Second, I'll take you to the game room that Madam prepared. Madam specially ordered it to be prepared, and I'm sure you two will like it."
"Then let's go quickly, Sister Qiuyue." After Sun Qiming said this, he took Qiuyue's hand and wanted to walk forward quickly.
Qiuyue held the two young masters steady before responding, "Okay, let's go in and play quickly."
Sun Qijing didn't object. Now that he had moved back, he had seen his father humble himself in front of his mother. Sun Qijing knew that he definitely couldn't move back. Even if he threw a tantrum and insisted on moving back, Sun Qijing looked at the scheming child next to him. His mother didn't lack a son!
If I act recklessly, my mother might really give up on me. Just look at how miserable my father's life is now. He is also a child who knows how to seek benefits and avoid harm.
When Qiuyue led the two little ones to the next room, Sun Qijing and Sun Qiming couldn't help but exclaim in admiration. They both let go of Qiuyue's hands and wanted to go inside.
"Two young masters, let me help you take off your shoes before you go in and play." Qiuyue gently pulled them both, squatted down and discussed with them.
Sun Qijing nodded modestly. Sun Qiming, on the other hand, didn't have so many thoughts and immediately said, "Okay, Sister Qiuyue, help me take off my shoes."
"Okay, I'll take off the shoes for the two young masters." Qiuyue was a quick person. She had already taken off the shoes of the two young masters while she was talking.
Sun Qijing and Sun Qiming rushed into this fresh space without any distinction. They both stepped on the soft carpet, muttering in their hearts, "This feels so comfortable!"
"Sister Qiuyue, how do we play with these?" Sun Qijing and Sun Qiming were like two country bumpkins, looking around and touching everything. But neither of them knew how to play. Sun Qiming had been with Zhao Lingmeng since he was a child, so he was very familiar with the people who served her. So he asked immediately.
Although Sun Qijing didn't ask himself, he pricked up his ears to hear what Qiuyue had to say.
When Sun Qiming asked, Qiuyue had already taken off her shoes. Then she went in and played with all the toys with them, such as riding a wooden horse, doing puzzles, and building castles.
Seeing that they both knew how to play and didn't seem too eager to join in, Qiuyue gently asked for their opinions: "Now that you both know how to play, do you two want to play together or separately?"
Sun Qijing and Sun Qiming looked at each other and said in unison: "I'll play by myself."
"Then you two can't fight. I'll sit here next to you. If you need anything, just call me, okay?" Qiuyue agreed easily. Her wife had said that children nowadays have their own ideas and there's no need to force them. Anyway, what her wife said was definitely right.
Sun Qijing and Sun Qiming nodded readily upon hearing this.
Sun Qijing had no interest in riding a wooden horse. He'd even ridden a real horse in his grandmother's yard before! It didn't seem that interesting. He simply headed straight for the puzzles, picked one he found interesting, dumped all the pieces on the ground, and began to work on them.
Sun Qiming didn't say anything when he saw this. He rode the wooden horse alone for a while, but when he found it boring, he went to the puzzle area, found one he liked, and lay on the ground to slowly put it together.
Suddenly, Sun Qiming approached Sun Qijing, gently tugged at his sleeve, and called out in a baby voice, "Brother."
Sun Qijing looked up from inside the puzzle. "What's going on?"
"I can't recognize this." Sun Qiming has not yet received enlightenment, so he doesn't recognize any words and is still an illiterate boy.
Sun Qijing hadn't anticipated this. He'd only been learning Chinese for a short time, and before, after studying for a while, his grandmother and aunt would tell him to play for a while. Now, he regretted not learning a few more characters.
Originally, Sun Qijing didn't want to get involved in this matter, but seeing his so-called brother looking at him expectantly, he could only sigh silently.
Then Sun Qiming watched his brother slowly get up from the ground and rummage through the boxes again. He pulled out another box of puzzles and dragged it in front of Sun Qiming. He raised his head proudly and said, "You play with this!"
Sun Qiming pulled out a few pieces and found that they were all patterned. Sun Qiming was happy, "Thank you, brother." He thought to himself that this brother was not as annoying as before, so he would play with him!
Sun Qijing was quite happy to hear Sun Qiming's childish thanks. He felt that his brother wasn't as terrible as his grandmother said. He hadn't taken anything from him. As for his parents' doting, he now understood that his mother wanted to treat him equally.
Dad! Now, according to the news I overheard, when Mom gave birth to my little brother, he was still with another woman, and now she's just my concubine. He'll have children born by other women in the future, but they won't be as good as this little brother next to me! Don't think that children are stupid.
Qiuyue, who was standing next to them, was very happy when she saw the two young masters getting along harmoniously. At least the eldest young master had not been spoiled, and the young lady would not feel guilty and sad about it in the future.
The atmosphere on Zhao Lingmeng's side was different. Seeing that the master really didn't want to leave, Nanny Wu could only serve him a portion of Zhao Lingmeng's postpartum meal.
Originally, Zhao Lingmeng had ignored him, but when he was eating alone at the table, he started crying, and then began to mutter that he was eating so well, but he didn't know if his mother had anything to eat, and then he said something like "the son is unfilial".
Zhao Lingmeng sneered, "Dongyuan, throw the master out of Yixinyuan."
Sun Tu was picked up by Dong Yuan. He was extremely panicked and struggled, "Zhao Lingmeng, what are you doing? Let me go!"
"Just get lost! Go and reminisce about the good and bad times with your mother. I tell you clearly, Sun Tu, your mother raised you, but not me. I used to be filial to her. It's not that I was afraid of her, but I did it for your sake. Now that I don't even like you, what does your mother mean to me?"
"Zhao Lingmeng, you?" Sun Tu had thought they would be able to return to the past someday. This was the first time he realized so clearly that there was no going back. Zhao Lingmeng didn't even bother to hide the coldness in her eyes, not even bothering to give him a perfunctory response.
