Ying Yan noticed her strange expression and couldn't help but ask, "Who exactly are you?"
"Are you really my future wife?"
Before Ke Meiyu could react, he said helplessly, "Although all the nutrients in your head are supplied to your face, I have no choice but to agree since you are exceptionally beautiful."
Most importantly, it was her inquisitive and persistent spirit, and the fact that, apart from her deceased mother, she was the only person standing in his way!
He was taken to his father's home by his scumbag father, and those around him praised and flattered him on the surface because he was the illegitimate son acknowledged by the Ying Group.
But he knew that when the Ying family abandoned him again, these people wouldn't even give him a second glance.
There was no exception; there was only one her.
Ke Meiyu couldn't help but reach out and rub his smooth, slightly chubby face. "Are you openly implying that I'm stupid?"
"Let me tell you, I'm very smart, I'm just not good at studying."
"I'm incredibly good at racing. I can even break records on the 99 bends of the Sichuan-style racetrack, which is known as the 'corner of death,' and I always come in first!"
"My sister is also incredibly good at games. She doesn't need to spend any money; she just relies on her superb skills to consistently stay number one in the entire server!"
"My sister can interject, do tea ceremony, sing, dance, paint, play musical instruments, speak six languages, and so on. She has a wider range of career options than a bookworm who only uses his brain to study."
She proudly sold herself off completely.
"Now I have another medical skill, haha, just you wait, sooner or later everyone will call me the 'Greater Hua Tuo,' the 'Miraculous Healer,' and the 'Savior of the World'..."
Little Yingyan obediently let her hands knead him, looking at the smug smile on her face and the bright black eyes, it seemed that she did not like simple bookworms.
Ke Meiyu laughed until she woke herself up, and to make matters worse, the drool she left in her mouth got onto the villain's shoulder.
She quickly sat up straight, wiped her mouth, and looked out the window nonchalantly!
Fortunately, the man was engrossed in a conversation with Director Gu and had no time to pay attention to her.
She slept so soundly that the car had already entered the provincial capital.
They got off the bus at the guesthouse next to the agricultural university. There are several universities in the area, and at the intersection stands a stone archway with a history of over a thousand years: "University Entrance," which is why it is jokingly referred to as the University Town.
Ke Meiyu couldn't resist stopping at the fragrant state-run restaurant by the roadside. "Comrade Qin, you go to the guesthouse to get a room, I'll order food and wait for you at the restaurant!"
Without Qin Yuanjiu's consent, she excitedly ran across the street without looking back.
Qin Yuanjiu shook his head slightly and sighed. Perhaps some people are just born a bit slow?
It was just past lunchtime, and the waiter was tidying up impatiently. When he saw a shadow on the table, he waved his hand and said, "The lunchtime is over, there's nothing left to eat. Come earlier next time."
"Oh, Miss, is there really none left?" Ke Meiyu said with deep disappointment, "I heard from Master Li in the north of the city that Master Di in our shop is particularly skilled, and he has several specialties in both meat and vegetarian dishes."
"It's one of the most cherished university memories for many students. Even the young men and women in our shop are all very lucky-looking..."
Her voice was like glutinous rice cake, sweet and soft, making people feel happy.
The chef, who had been dozing at the window, suddenly opened his eyes and asked with a grin, "Little Li, do you really say that?"
“Yes, yes,” Ke Meiyu nodded repeatedly. “Master Li said that his family is very concerned about their reputation. They are from the imperial kitchens, so how could they easily admit that someone else is better than them? Wouldn’t that be beneath them and a disgrace to their ancestors?”
"But your cooking skills are truly excellent. You've managed to almost match his family's ancestral dishes through your own exploration. What an amazing talent! Even his established successors are ashamed of their inferiority."
"So I was curious, so I came here, but... but it was too late..."
"It's not late, it's not late. What would you like to eat, little girl?" Master Di asked cheerfully as he draped a towel over himself and washed his hands.
“I want to eat your specialty dish,” Ke Meiyu said, always eager to take advantage of the situation.
"Alright, today your uncle will let you try my signature dish, and we can even have a go at it with Little Li's!"
Ke Meiyu smiled and started taking out the Chinese-style hamburgers and small oranges she hadn't eaten yet from her bag, and distributed them to everyone. "These are wild boar meats that my mother made, braised in a traditional earthen stove. I'm letting you all try them so we can give her some feedback."
"Her cooking skills are passable, and she often helps with the cooking at neighborhood weddings and funerals."
Everyone was a little embarrassed.
They ate well at the state-run restaurants, and could even take some home with them.
But it was also the first time they had ever met such a generous woman.
Seeing Ke Meiyu's sincere smile, they took the bag and began to eat it seriously, preparing to offer some constructive criticism.
But with one bite, the pancake is chewy yet soft, the meat is tender and savory, and paired with refreshing and slightly spicy green peppers, it's so satisfying that you can't help but roll it up.
"Delicious!" They nodded repeatedly, proving that true masters are indeed found among ordinary people.
Chef Di also curiously picked it up and took a bite, savoring the burst of flavor on his taste buds. "It's really good. Your mother's cooking skills are good enough to compete with top chefs."
Laymen watch the spectacle, experts watch the details.
The way each ingredient is processed and cooked reveals the chef's level of expertise.
Ke Meiyu smiled and nodded with pride: "My mother is good at cooking home-style dishes, but when it comes to running a restaurant and entertaining distinguished guests, you and Chef Li are the real experts."
Master Di chuckled and said a few words before returning to the kitchen to start cooking.
Several waiters liked her; she was beautiful, articulate, and generous.
