This area was built by ancient emperors for their officials. Ying Yan raised an eyebrow, leaned back in his chair, and placed one hand on the back of Ke Meiyu's chair, as if pulling her into his arms.
"A unit allocated by my work unit? How many bedrooms and living rooms does it have? Is there a room for me?"

Liu Xiaoshan lowered his head slightly and reported earnestly: "It's a three-bedroom, one-living-room house. It's not as big as the courtyard house you used to live in, nor as spacious as the family quarters next to the South Compound. Liu Xiaoshan responded and left hungry, his expression suddenly turning gloomy as he turned around.
Once everyone left, Ying Yan leaned close to Ke Meiyu and whispered with a light laugh, "Wife, do you think we should go and stay here?"
Ke Meiyu's eyes darted around: "Ying Yan, why did your father summon you back?"
"From what you've said, your relationship with your father is terrible, and there's absolutely no way he'd reconcile with you. What exactly is he planning?"
Ying Yan smiled and said, "One is to create the illusion of a loving father and filial son, so as to bypass me and gain benefits. For example, some of my maternal grandparents' assets may be returned, and he wants to intercept them. Or he wants to openly use the Qin family's connections, or my brothers' connections."
