"Oh my, Grandma's little darling, you're so picky at such a young age? After drinking the milk powder and tasting it, you're already complaining about the water. Look at your little face, all scrunched up like an old man."
Everyone stared at it with amusement and couldn't help but laugh.
With so many children, the Ke family decided to split into two groups to look after them. Everyone had to take leave to try and get through the three days in the hospital.
The hospital was bustling with people, and with the year-end approaching, many children went missing.
Ke Meiyu was also worried, especially since she was sharing a room with Ling Yifei.
However, she discovered something: all five of her children were extraordinary!
They possess spiritual roots, and each child has something special about them:
For example, the old man was very strong; his small leather fist could punch a person until a bruise appeared.
The second child is fast; his little arms and legs move much faster than his brothers and sisters.
Although the third son is a boy, he is very quiet. He is always moving his head and straining his eyes. He has excellent hearing, but I don't know how good his eyesight is.
The fourth little girl, she has her own space, and the empty baby bottle she often holds just appears out of thin air, and she shares one with Ke Meiyu.
The fifth baby must be a lucky one. Born last, she's always the first to be fed. It's impossible to say she receives special treatment. All five babies are born the same; shouldn't feeding be done randomly? But no matter where she's placed, good things always come first!
Ke Meiyu was frustrated. She didn't care about her three sons, and she didn't care about her fifth son's lucky treasure either. But her fourth son was obsessed with his mother now. If he became obsessed with anything else in the future, he would probably dig out all the things she had worked so hard to exchange for with peace points.
It's true what they say, children are born to collect debts!
But she tried her best to keep these things a secret, so that no one else would know.
Ke Meiyu was in a state of high excitement, and she only slept for two or three hours in three days, which was also self-imposed.
Ying Yan glanced at the mother and her six children, hesitated, and decided not to reveal his identity, fearing it would frighten her and cause her to stop producing milk. He could only focus on taking care of the family and his wife's children, who each had their own special abilities.
While she was on tenterhooks, Ke Meiyu didn't pay much attention to what was happening next door.
People were coming and going inside, leaving no opportunity for others to take advantage.
However, when Ying Yan was getting breakfast in the early morning, he caught two human traffickers!
With so many children in the family, the advantage of the Ke family being able to live separately despite being divided into separate households is evident. Usually, Ke Meiyu, the old lady, and the old man take care of the children, while the other eleven family members take turns being off work at home.
Several of Ke's sisters-in-law also became pregnant one after another. Each of them was busy with work at home and family, and life seemed to be pushed forward at a rapid pace.
In the blink of an eye, it was 1980. All five Ke brothers and Ying Yan had graduated with master's degrees and had found their job assignments.
Ke Yuanxia successfully reported to the police station in Kyoto, donning his peaked cap and exuding an air of authority and righteousness. His second sister-in-law was also transferred to a guesthouse near his workplace, allowing her to balance work and childcare.
Ke Yuanhua opened a hot pot restaurant with his wife using the shop his sister gave him. He usually hired employees to look after the place while he worked for his sister and brother-in-law as a chef trainer. He didn't feel at all that his talent as a graduate student was being wasted.
Ke Yuanwan was assigned to work as a technician at a machinery factory, while his wife worked in the factory's accounting office.
Ke Yuansui and his wife run a clothing store and also rent the adjacent shop to sell electronic products.
Ying Yan and several classmates founded a company specializing in software development. In the early stages, they didn't see any money, but the investment was substantial. However, the profits in the later stages were definitely considerable.
Ko Mei-yu stays at home taking care of her child and researching and training the child to control their supernatural abilities. Because of her excellent foreign language skills, she was hired as a full-time teacher at Kyoto University, where she teaches three classes a week.
At the television station, she continued to voice the dolls and occasionally offered suggestions to the station director on how to create new programs.
While she single-handedly brewed this rich and flavorful chicken soup, Tomorrow Radio had already surpassed People's Radio and other radio stations to become the industry leader. The station director was naturally reluctant to let her go, so he created a separate program for her to host, three times a week.
Life was incredibly peaceful and blissful. Because Ying Yan's company was in the city center, Ke Meiyu moved into the Qin family's house in the South Compound with him, bringing her child with her.
The old lady and the old man couldn't bear to part with their children, so they stopped managing the shop and came to help take care of it.
The family members are all in good health. The two elderly people look about twenty years younger than their peers, and they are very agile.
The house had been cleaned up long ago, and the whole family came over in a lively atmosphere. The surrounding residents were all disturbed and couldn't help but come out to greet Ying Yan with smiles.
Ying Yan patiently introduced the person to her family, since they would be visiting neighbors in the future.
The old lady nodded with a cheerful smile, and in a particularly friendly manner, said that she would bring over delicious food from home later to familiarize herself with the place.
The crowd's expressions twitched slightly. They wanted to move around with Ying Yan, but they didn't want to get involved with Ying Yan's wife's relatives from the countryside.
Ying Yan and Ke Meiyu took in everyone's expressions and said to the old lady with smiles, "Grandma, it's not as easy to get along with people in the compound as it is in our village or with our old neighbors. They are proud and aloof, and it's a shame that you're missing out on so many old friends."
The old lady was shrewd; she knew exactly what the two were talking about.
When she first came to the city, especially to Kyoto, she was actually quite apprehensive. This was because the impression that city people had of rural people was that they were arrogant and looked down on others, and that rural people were rustic, rude, and uncultured.
But after living in Kyoto for three years, the old lady understood many things. City people are just like country people. They don't have an extra mouth or an extra leg. Even if there are many people living in a house, the salary is not necessarily high. As for education, the general illiteracy of her generation is the same in the city!
