Chapter 33 A Plan to Turn the Tide
Before noon, Lin Feiyan rushed back to the Lin residence.
Chen Ci was idly flipping through a book in the living room downstairs when he saw Lin Feiyan and quickly got up to greet him: "Boss."
Lin Feiyan nodded: "How is she?"
"It's nothing serious. The excessive fright caused the evil spirits to invade, and the cool weather last night caused the fever."
Chen Ci chuckled and teased, "Boss, did you scare that little girl?"
Lin Feiyan recalled the scene of Ye Qingning in his room yesterday.
His brow was slightly furrowed.
He only said a couple of harsh words, and he's already scared?
That's not like her at all.
After all, a woman who dares to jump off a building wouldn't be afraid of his few words.
Seeing Chen Ci looking at him with curiosity, Lin Feiyan narrowed his eyes: "Just focus on treating your illness."
Chen Ci smiled and took the wheelchair from Chen Chu's hands, pushing Lin Feiyan into the living room.
Chen Chu was making tea, and Chen Ci, having nothing else to do, casually took Lin Feiyan's pulse, raising an eyebrow slightly: "Boss, you've been a bit too hot-tempered lately."
Lin Feiyan withdrew his hand from his fingertips and gave him a cool glance: "If you're really bored, go work as a clinic employee at the group. The company needs you."
"No, no, no." Chen Ci immediately backed down: "I'm waiting for you to come back because I have something important to report."
Lin Feiyan took a cup of tea from Chen Chu and took a small sip: "Speak, what is it?"
Chen Ci said seriously, "You haven't mentioned Chen Chu and me to Miss Ye, have you?"
"No."
"Then she probably hasn't met me either, right?" Chen Ci asked again.
Lin Feiyan frowned: "What exactly are you trying to say?"
Chen Ci's tone became more serious: "That's very strange. Miss Ye recognized me as soon as I arrived at the mansion. Logically speaking, if she didn't know me before, she should have mistaken me for Chen Chu."
Chen Ci shrugged: "But she clearly knows that I am Chen Chu's twin brother! I even suspect that she knows my name is Chen Ci, but she is just wary and therefore does not admit it."
"How is this possible?" Chen Chu asked incredulously.
Very few people know about his relationship with Chen Ci, so how could Ye Qingning possibly know!
After a moment of contemplation, Chen Chu looked at him and said, "Although we look alike, our temperaments are different. Miss Ye, if you are intelligent enough, you should be able to tell that we are not the same person."
"I can't really explain this to you," Chen Ci scratched his head. "Anyway, the feeling she gave me was that she knew I wasn't you the moment she saw me!"
Chen Ci's insight was definitely superior to Chen Chu's, and upon hearing his words, Chen Chu also fell into deep thought for a moment.
Lin Feiyan's eyes narrowed slightly, and he twirled the cup in his hand.
This wasn't the only unusual thing about Ye Qingning. Now, hearing about this, he didn't seem particularly surprised, but rather a little more calculating.
Why does Ye Qingning know so much about him?
The elevator password, knowing Chen Chu, knowing that he likes home-style dishes, and possibly even knowing Chen Ci!
Chen Ci's eyes lit up with interest: "Boss, could this be some kind of honey trap someone used on you?"
Lin Feiyan scoffed coldly, "So what if it is?"
"So what do you plan to do?"
Lin Feiyan raised an eyebrow slightly, his tone carrying a deep killing intent: "Let's turn the tables on them!"

Perhaps because the liquid contained a sleeping-inducing ingredient, Ye Qingning slept very soundly.
The moment he opened his eyes, he was met with a pair of cold, probing eyes. The moment their eyes met, the coldness in the man's eyes lessened slightly.
