Chapter 606 Extra - Chicken Noodles

Chapter 606 Extra - Chicken Noodles

Fang Tong pursed her lips, feeling a warm feeling in her heart. She pointed to one side of the living room: "The first-aid kit is on top of the storage cabinet."

"Okay." Chen Ci said as he walked towards the storage cabinet, "You can go back to your bedroom and lie down. I need to boil some water for you."

Fang Tong hesitated for a moment, then didn't move.

The bedroom was unkempt and must have been a complete mess.

There was a stool next to the locker. Fang Tong was about to remind him to stand on the stool to get it when the man stretched out his long arm and reached the top medicine box with ease.

Fang Tong suddenly felt wronged, and her eyes welled up with tears.

As Chen Ci rummaged through the medicine box, he said to her, "Or you can lie down on the sofa and rest for a while. Don't sit. Do whatever makes you comfortable."

"Okay." Fang Tong was in so much pain that she lost all her temper, so she took off her shoes and lay down on the sofa.

Chen Ci quickly found the right medicine, got up and went to the kitchen to boil water. Seeing Fang Tong resting with her eyes closed, he took a trench coat from the coat rack by the door and gently altered it for her.

Feeling a warmth spread through her body, Fang Tong opened her eyes and said the same thing again: "Thank you."

Chen Ci was so grateful for her that he lost his temper: "I'll go boil some water and be right back."

Fang Tong nodded: "Mm."

She closed her eyes again, curled up on the sofa, and felt the warm sunlight streaming into the room.

She was soon awakened by Chen Ci's gentle voice, and when she opened her eyes, she saw his handsome face again.

"Get up and take your medicine first."

Fang Tong struggled to sit up and took two pills with warm water.

Chen Ci watched her drink the rest of the warm water before getting up: "Lie down and rest, I'll go make some porridge."

"No need to trouble yourself..." Fang Tong said hurriedly.

"Now you are the patient. If you have the ability to stand up and kick me out, then try it. Otherwise, you have to follow my instructions."

The man's domineering words silenced Fang Tong, who lay back down: "Thank you for your hard work."

Chen Ci: "..."

Seeing that Fang Tong had closed her eyes, he went back to the kitchen, carefully closed the kitchen door, and began searching for usable ingredients in the refrigerator.

When Fang Tong opened her eyes, it was already a slightly dim evening.

The sun had already set, leaving only a faint ray of afterglow.

The burning and cramping sensation in her stomach had subsided, and now she was starting to feel a little hungry again.

I glanced at my watch; it was almost 6:30.

We need to go to the hospital to see Fang Miao right away.

She took off her trench coat, sat up, and stood there stunned for a moment.

Chen Ci brought her back, took care of her taking her medicine, and covered her with his trench coat.

So has he left now?

Fang Tong thought of that gentle princess carry, and a warm feeling began to spread through her heart again. She smiled, for no matter what, he had given her a moment of feeling that she could rely on him.

But in the end, you still have to rely on yourself.

She let out a breath, stood up from the sofa, and went barefoot to find her slippers.

Then the kitchen door opened, letting in soft light. Chen Ci, wearing her floral apron and holding a spoon, asked in an exceptionally gentle tone, "Awake?"

Fang Tong was stunned.

At that moment, it was as if something had suddenly pierced her heart.

It was a gentle, warm touch that softened her heart.

"Hmm." She nodded somewhat blankly. "Dr. Chen, why haven't you left yet?"

"I saw a chicken in your refrigerator, probably for making chicken soup for Fang Miao. I was just killing time, so I made some chicken soup."

Sure enough, the aroma of fragrant chicken soup wafted from the kitchen.

Fang Tong pursed her lips, about to say thank you again.

Chen Ci spoke first: "No need to thank me. Go wash your face first. I'll make you some shredded chicken noodles for dinner."

Fang Tong nodded: "Okay."

Then she belatedly realized that she had been a bit too impolite.

But I'm still quite happy inside.

She put on her slippers, turned on the living room light, and the room was bright and warm to the eye.

When she came out of the bathroom, Chen Ci had already placed two bowls of noodles on the small dining table in the living room, smiling at her: "Do you mind if I have one too?"

"Of course," Fang Tong smiled. "You made it."

Chen Ci went back to the kitchen, took out chopsticks, and gestured for Fang Tong to sit down.

Fang Tong smelled the fragrance and exclaimed, "It smells so good!"

"My cooking skills are so-so." Chen Ci pulled out a chair and sat down opposite her. "You're just hungry, go ahead and eat."

"Mmm." Fang Tong looked down at the fragrant bowl of shredded chicken noodles, her appetite was whetted, and her heart felt warm and comforted.

Neither of them spoke, and they continued eating the noodles in their bowls.

The broth is fragrant, the shredded chicken is tender, and the noodles are chewy; every bite is satisfying.

After finishing the bowl of noodles, Fang Tong felt all her physical and mental fatigue disappear. She wiped her mouth, picked up a cup, and filled two glasses with water, placing one next to Chen Ci.

"I didn't expect you to be such a good cook."

Chen Ci swallowed the last mouthful of noodles, his expression pausing slightly: "When I was studying abroad, I always cooked for myself."

Fang Tong nodded: "I see."

She took a sip of water: "I'm very curious why you chose medicine? It's very difficult."

"Just out of interest," Chen Ci explained. "I've loved solving problems since I was a child. Treating illnesses is also a form of problem-solving. I wanted to see how to solve a problem in the quickest way possible."

This was the first time Fang Tong had heard of this idea.

She smiled and said, "Then you're very capable."

"And you?" Chen Ci casually twirled his water glass in his hand. "What's your major?"
