Chapter 66 Find a Chef
Ye Qingning stuck out her tongue and muttered proudly, "It smells so good it makes your teeth fall out!"
For some reason, she was in a particularly good mood today, probably because the man stood up for her.
The fact that someone as aloof and arrogant as him could achieve this shows that his path to winning people's favor is becoming increasingly smooth, so how could anyone not be happy?
After dinner, Ye Qingning cleaned up the kitchen, while Lin Feiyan went straight to the living room.
He casually flipped through a couple of pages of the newspaper, then took out his phone and called Chen Chu, instructing him to find a chef as soon as possible.
"chef?"
Chen Chu was a little surprised. His family had used to employ chefs before, but Lin Feiyan had rather picky tastes, and almost every chef would be fired after less than half a month.
After that, Chen Chu racked his brains every day to order food from different restaurants.
Fortunately, after Ye Qingning arrived, he no longer had to rack his brains over Lin Feiyan's daily meals.
But right now...
Chen Chu's heart skipped a beat: "Has something happened to Miss Ye?"
"No." Lin Feiyan's gaze fell on Ye Qingning, who was diligently cleaning in the kitchen: "Just do what I tell you to do, why ask so many questions?"
"Okay," Chen Chu replied. "What are your requirements?"
"Female, no other special requirements." Lin Feiyan paused for a moment, "No need for a star chef, just someone who can cook home-style dishes. I need to test the dishes."
"Okay." Chen Chu wrote down the requirements: "I'll start preparing right away."
"Hmm." Lin Feiyan twirled his fingers, his voice taking on a chill: "Also, step up the efforts on Linxing Entertainment... and deal with everyone who mocked Ye Qingning at Ye Qingxue's birthday party today, especially that Zhou Xuan. I want her to disappear from Qingcheng."
Chen Chu paused for a moment, then said, "Okay."
It had been a long time since the bandit leader had dealt with someone in such a grand manner, which made Chen Chu feel somewhat uneasy.
So he sent another message to Chen Ci, instructing him to arrange Lin Feiyan's medical examination as soon as possible.
...
When Ye Qingning finished cleaning up the restaurant and kitchen and came out humming a song, she was surprised to find that the man was still sitting in the living room reading the newspaper. Judging from the expression in his eyes, he was in a good mood.
"Mr. Lin," Ye Qingning glanced at her watch, "It's very late. Is there anything else? Why aren't you asleep?"
Lin Feiyan closed the newspaper in his hand, raised his eyes to look at her: "I plan to find a chef, and you can try the dishes later. It would be best if they tasted similar to what you make."
"Ah!" Ye Qingning was stunned for a moment. Her first thought was that she had done something wrong again, so she almost blurted out, "Did I do something wrong? Why did you have to call the chef?"
Seeing the fleeting look of panic on her face, which didn't seem feigned, Lin Feiyan lightly twirled his fingers: "What's the panic? I'm just tired of eating and want to try something different."
Ye Qingning scratched her head: "But you just said that the new chef should ideally have a similar taste to my cooking..."
Lin Feiyan coughed lightly, raised an eyebrow, and said in a deep voice, "What? You don't want to? Then you can continue to be a servant."
After speaking, the man turned his wheelchair and headed straight for the elevator.
Ye Qingning belatedly realized the implication in the man's words, as if someone had mentioned at the birthday party that she was a maid at the Lin residence.
so……
Did Lin Feiyan take this to heart?
Ye Qingning suddenly laughed, took a few steps over and pushed the man's wheelchair: "No, I'm just used to cooking for you. When you suddenly found a chef, I naturally thought I had done something wrong."
She raised her hand and opened the elevator door, unaware of the inscrutable look in Lin Feiyan's eyes.
The man replied coolly, "In your heart, am I just such a nitpicky person?"
