Chapter 668 Extra - I Got Drunk Last Night
When Fang Tong woke up in the early morning, her mind was still a mess. She seemed to have had those strange dreams again in the latter half of last night.
This time, however, those dreams only flashed by vaguely, and when I think back on them now, they are like ripples on the water, disappearing as soon as the wind stops.
Fang Tong let out a breath and got out of bed. When she got to the door, she suddenly realized that there was still a man living in the house.
Thinking about what happened last night, she paused in her movement to open the door, but if she didn't get up and go to the company, she was afraid she would be late.
Although it's a resignation, it's still good to be late, as long as you're there for the day.
After hesitating for a long time, she opened the door. The living room was very quiet. She tiptoed out and glanced at the next room, finding the door wide open and the bed neatly made.
It seems Chen Ci is no longer at home.
A hint of surprise flickered in Fang Tong's eyes as she went to the restroom. As she passed the restaurant, she saw a sandwich breakfast and a note on the table.
She went over and glanced at it. The note was left by Chen Ci: [I got drunk last night and forgot how I got home. I don't know if I caused you any trouble? I'm sorry. This is the breakfast I prepared for you, remember to eat it.]
Fang Tong looked at the elegant and graceful calligraphy on the note and sighed slightly.
In other words, he doesn't remember what happened last night...
That's fine.
That way, at least the two of them won't feel too awkward.
Fang Tong glanced at the sandwich and went to the restroom to wash up.
In the mirror, the red marks from the slap on her face had indeed disappeared, proving that Chen Ci's ointment was truly effective.
After washing up and having breakfast, Fang Tong set off for Yaju.
After the morning meeting, she took her resignation letter to the director and told him she wanted to leave. The director pretended to try to persuade her to stay and then signed the letter for her.
Fang Tong then went to the administration department to collect his resignation documents and was told that all documents required the general manager's signature.
The administrator told her to do her job handover first, and she could leave after the general manager arrived and signed the papers. Her salary would be paid to her normally later.
Fang Tong took the handover form back to the office, where Lao Chen had already received the news from the director.
In fact, not only Lao Chen, but almost everyone in Yaju knew about Fang Tong's resignation immediately.
Apart from the young receptionist and Old Chen, everyone else was indifferent.
"Okay, we've already exchanged contact information. We can easily arrange to go out for dinner later." Fang Tong comforted the tearful receptionist, "Go on and get busy. Don't let your boss see you slacking off and you'll get fined again."
Knowing there was nothing she could do to keep him, the receptionist could only go about her business, promising to go shopping with Fang Tong during her break.
After the receptionist left, Old Chen slid his chair over to Fang Tong's workstation and earnestly advised, "Why are you doing this? Do you really like Chairman Ye?"
"Of course not!" Fang Tong denied, "I have absolutely no other intentions towards Chairman Ye whatsoever, okay?"
"Then why did you leave as soon as Mr. Qin arrived?" Old Chen asked. "Weren't you in a hurry for money? Besides, the clients you have right now are all very interested!"
"Sometimes it's not something I can stay just because I want to."
Fang Tong bluntly stated, "Right now, President Qin sees me as a potential enemy. If I stay, I'll just become cannon fodder! It's not like I can't find a job, so why should I live in this predicament?"
Old Chen understood what she meant after reading through her words.
Not to mention President Qin, everyone can more or less feel the care that Chairman Ye has shown to Fang Tong.
But he happens to be a man with a fiancée!
Such a man is the epitome of a scumbag.
Fang Tong turned on her computer and pulled up the client information she had compiled: "This is my potential client information. I just spoke to the director. Did he tell you who to assign it to?"
