Chapter 455 Extra - Ancient Books from Baidu

Chapter 455 Extra - Ancient Books on Baidu

It's her fault; she overlooked the fact that Consort Liangyuan has lost her memory. It seems she has forgotten all the manners and etiquette she learned before.

What should we do if we offend His Highness the Crown Prince now?

She looked at Shu Tong, hoping she could see the urgency in her eyes, but unfortunately Shu Tong's gaze was fixed on His Highness the Crown Prince and she didn't look at her at all!

The prince's gaze lingered on the glutinous rice lotus root, and a hint of coldness crept into his eyes: "Has no one in Wutong Residence told you that I don't eat sweets?"

Everyone was so shocked that they knelt down with a thud.

Shu Tong still looked bewildered: "Weren't you in a bad mood? Eating sweets will cause the body to secrete a certain amount of dopamine and adrenaline, and these two hormones will make people feel happy."

Shu Tong gave a serious explanation.

Anyway, he wouldn't understand it.

The prince's poker face remained as cold as ever: "Dopamine? Adrenaline?"

"Yes, it's just a hormone secreted by the human body." She smiled. "That's what the medical books say."

The crown prince narrowed his eyes: "Didn't you say you didn't remember anything related to medicine?"

Shu Tong smiled very gently, without a trace of panic in her eyes: "I don't quite remember how to practice medicine, but I do remember some passages from medical books and classics that left a deep impression on me."

"Oh?" The prince raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of inquiry appearing in his deep eyes, but his tone remained nonchalant: "What ancient texts record this?"

Shu Tong's eyes darted around: "Baidu."

"Baidu?" The prince pondered for a moment. "I've never heard of it."

Shu Tong nodded. "It would be strange if you'd heard of it."

She explained with an air of seriousness, "It's a relatively obscure book. I only came across it occasionally when I was in the countryside. It records some rather interesting illnesses and folk remedies, which are quite fascinating."

“In that case, perhaps this medical book [Baidu] records the question I just asked.” The prince suddenly became interested again: “Tell me the address of the medical book, and I will send someone to find it.”

Three words flashed through Shu Tong's mind: "They've gone too far."

She maintained her composure and replied softly, "I found this book by chance on my bookshelf at home. I thought it was interesting, so I read it. Later, my family moved several times, and I don't know when the book was lost."

The prince looked a little disappointed, but remembering what Shu Tong had just said, he still picked up his chopsticks and took a bite of the glutinous rice lotus root.

It has a sweet and soft texture.

As for his mood, it seems to have improved slightly.

He put down his chopsticks, waved for everyone to leave, and then spoke.

"Shu Liangyuan, you might as well think back to that Baidu dictionary. Perhaps you can find the answer I'm looking for. If you can satisfy me, I can grant you one request."

Shu Tong's eyes lit up: "Any conditions are acceptable?"

The prince nodded: "Of course."

Shu Tong nodded: "Since Your Highness has questions, I will certainly do my best to answer them, however..."

She paused for a moment, then looked up at the Crown Prince: "I need to know the specific symptoms, otherwise how am I supposed to recall them?"

The crown prince raised his chin slightly, a hint of coldness creeping into his eyes: "What do you want to know?"

"You said you wanted someone to forget another person. May I ask, Your Highness, are you referring to someone you want to forget yourself?"

The crown prince shook his head: "No."

Shu Tong's eyes darted around: "Could you arrange for me to meet with the person involved? Allow me to talk to her for a bit, so I can at least prescribe the right remedy, right?"

She had already guessed roughly what was going on.

The Crown Prince was probably referring to the Crown Princess and the disgraced official Lin Feiyan.

She was just thinking of going to see the Crown Princess.
