Chapter 163 Ending (Part 2)

At midnight, the palace was quiet.

Shen Qing suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach while she was sleeping. She frowned and groaned softly.

Jiang Zhuo beside him woke up instantly, and when he noticed something strange about Shen Qing, his heart suddenly tightened.

"Qingqing, how are you?" Jiang Zhuo asked anxiously, his voice trembling obviously.

Shen Qing frowned slightly, bit her lip, and said with difficulty: "Master Jiang, I'm afraid I'm going to give birth."

Jiang Zhuo's face turned pale in an instant. He jumped out of bed in a hurry, shouting for the palace maid to call the midwife, while frantically making the bed for Shen Qing.

Soon, the midwife arrived in a hurry, and the entire palace suddenly became busy. Jiang Zhuo was also driven out and waited outside the palace.

Outside the bedroom, the imperial doctors were already on standby, each with a nervous expression, their eyes fixed on the bedroom door. If there was any abnormal movement inside, they would rush in immediately to rescue the patient.

The entire palace was now under high alert. Guards stood guard every three steps, every five steps, their expressions serious and their eyes alert. Every corner was under strict surveillance, and no mistakes were allowed.

The palace maids carried hot water, towels and other items, and walked hurriedly, but did not dare to make any noise.

Outside the bedroom, Jiang Zhuo paced back and forth like an ant on a hot pan. His hands were clenched into fists, his knuckles turning white from the exertion. Every time he heard Shen Qing's painful groan from within, his heart felt like it was being tugged at by an invisible hand.

His heart was in his throat, praying that Shen Qing could give birth to the child safely and smoothly.

Even if... at least she is safe.

Jiang Zhuo's forehead was covered with fine beads of sweat. Although it was a cold winter night, he felt unbearably hot.

He did not believe in gods and Buddhas, but at this moment he kept praying in his heart, praying to God to bless Shen Qing and the child to be safe.

"Why isn't it healed yet?" He murmured to himself, his eyes filled with fear and helplessness. He imagined the immense pain Shen Qing was enduring inside, and wished he could bear it all for her.

"Sir Jiang, don't worry. His Majesty has always been in good health." The head of the Imperial Hospital couldn't help but comfort Jiang Zhuo.

If he continues to be anxious like this, he will give birth!

"Shut up."

Hearing the midwife's loud urging and Shen Qing's increasingly shrill cries, Jiang Zhuo's heart instantly rose to his throat.

Suddenly, the midwife rushed out in a hurry, her face covered in sweat and panic, her voice trembling: "Oh no, Your Majesty is having a difficult delivery!"

When Jiang Zhuo heard this, he felt like he was struck by lightning. His body shook violently and he almost fell down.

His eyes widened, and he shouted in disbelief, "How could it be a difficult birth? Wasn't everything fine before?"

The midwife lowered her head in panic, her voice tinged with tears, "Sir, I didn't expect this to happen. Your Majesty's baby is in an abnormal position, which is truly dangerous. You...you must be mentally prepared."

Jiang Zhuo's face turned pale in an instant, his lips trembled, and he kept telling himself to stay calm.

"Listen, no matter what, you must protect His Majesty's life! Do you understand?"

The midwife nodded and quickly responded, "Don't worry, sir. I will do my best."

After saying that, he turned around and rushed into the bedroom.

Jiang Zhuo stood there blankly, as if he had lost his soul, and kept muttering, "Qingqing, you must not be in any harm, you must not..."

He stopped and couldn't help but tremble slightly, as if the whole world had stopped turning at this moment.

"It's okay, it's okay..."

He repeated this sentence over and over again, trying to give himself some comfort, but the fear in his heart surged like a tide, almost drowning him.

Jiang Zhuo looked at the tightly closed door of the bedroom, feeling extremely anxious. He wanted to rush in immediately to stay by Shen Qing's side, but he knew that he couldn't do that. He could only wait outside the door, suffering greatly.

Inside the bedroom.

Shen Qing lay on the bed, her hair soaked with sweat, her face pale as paper. Her hands were tightly grasping the quilt beneath her, her knuckles turning white from the force.

Damn, why is it so difficult to have a child!

Every time the pain came, Shen Qing couldn't help but groan in pain, and the sound seemed particularly shrill in the silent night.

I should have discussed point 7 earlier and waited until after giving birth to recover the pain!

Her body kept shaking, as if she was fighting a desperate battle with an invisible and powerful force.

"Push harder, Your Majesty!" the midwife shouted anxiously, holding a prepared towel and hot water in her hands.

Shen Qing's eyes gradually became blurred, and his consciousness gradually became blurred in waves of severe pain.

"Your Majesty, you can't fall asleep. You must hold on!" Qingge called out anxiously.

Shen Qing forced herself to gather her spirits once more, and with another wave of severe pain, she let out a heart-wrenching cry, the sound of which seemed to break through the roof of the palace.

However, the child still showed no signs of coming out. Shen Qing's strength was fading away bit by bit. He seemed to be struggling on the brink of life and death, and every breath seemed so difficult.

"Your Majesty, I beg you, please don't give up! Otherwise, both the child and you will die! I beg you!" The midwife's voice choked with sobs, and tears streamed down her eyes.

"Why are you crying..." Shen Qing murmured with all her might, "I still want to cry..."

"Your Majesty, please try harder."

"It's just giving birth to a child..."

Shen Qing clutched the bed sheet tightly, his face pale, sweat pouring down, pain and weakness coexisting.

Could this be the disaster mentioned in point seven?

Jiang Zhuo couldn't wait any longer, he opened the door and rushed in, threw himself on the window bed and grabbed her hand.

"Qingqing, Qingqing, I'm here. Don't be afraid. Let's not have the baby and don't want him anymore, okay?"

"Master Jiang, what nonsense are you talking about!" Shen Qing squeezed his hand tightly and cursed, "I carried you for ten months, and you just say you don't want me anymore!"

"ah!"

Following a shout, a baby's cry was heard.

Outside the window, the first ray of morning sunlight finally broke through the darkness, and the imperial city welcomed dawn.

"Great! It's born!" The midwife was excited, but her hands holding the child were steady. "It's a little prince!"

Before Shen Qing could breathe a sigh of relief, her stomach began to ache again.

She frowned in pain and suddenly exerted force with her hands.

"What's going on?" Jiang Zhuo was frightened by Shen Qing's expression before he could feel happy.

The midwife rushed to check the situation, "Your Majesty is pregnant with another child!"

The second child was petite, so it didn't take much effort.

"It's a little princess..."

"Your Majesty is bleeding profusely! Stop the bleeding!"

"Qingqing, call the imperial physician!"
