Chapter 11 Suspicion Arises

Since her younger sister had gone on a long trip, Song Tingwan no longer went to the main peak.

She attended classes with the students in Class C every day, and in the evenings she would quietly give Baili Xijiang extra tutoring.

A month later, Baili Xijiang from Class C was completed right under Pei Yuan's nose, and Class C was once again immersed in a joyful atmosphere.

Two months later, everyone in Class C was able to refine a complete elixir, and discussions arose about whether Pei Yuan's method actually worked.

Classes A and B are already learning the basic third-grade elixir and are dismissive of Class C's achievements.

It's too slow; with so many resources being poured into it, it's practically crawling along.

After the disciples of Class C completed their alchemy, they all went to the foot of the mountain to trade it. After all, they would do missions to earn spirit stones after class and then buy back expensive spirit plants to practice.

Therefore, many outer disciples regarded Class C as an anomaly, as if they were looking at a complete idiot.

Although the pills produced by the disciples of Class C were of Grade One, the aroma of their basic pills was so rich that they were comparable to those of Grade Two pills.

There were many different opinions, but the price of their first-grade pills also increased significantly, finally making back the money they spent on the spiritual plants.

A studious atmosphere was spreading in Class C, and Song Tingwan was also inspired by it. When instructing Baili Xijiang, she reminded him to teach his classmates the next day as well.

While Elder Pei was pleased and delighted by the rapid progress of this new generation of disciples, he was also quite perplexed.

It seemed as if an unseen hand was silently helping these disciples cross the river, somewhere he was unaware of it.

One day, Pei Xiang'an used the excuse of delivering spirit stones to secretly go and find Pei Yuan.

Pei Yuan was furious at the guy he had just rescued who had become so attached to him. What was infuriating was that this guy kept bringing up the fact that they shared the same surname, always saying that they were family thousands of years ago and that he would take care of him in his old age.

"You've only saved this little bit this time, and you have the nerve to ask me for help?"

The old man walked slowly with the book in his hand, while Pei Xiang'an quickened her pace upon hearing his irritating tone.

"It's just a small token of my appreciation. Does the elder find me unworthy? But it's no use finding me unworthy anyway. I will continue to seek you out."

He was more restrained than usual in front of Elder Pei, standing straight and exceptionally serious.

"Hmph, you little rascal."

Elder Pei glanced at him, carefully concealing the pleasure in his eyes, and said in his usual irritable tone, "Speak, you must have something to tell me if you suddenly called me."

Pei Xiang'an nodded seriously, but hesitated before speaking.

"What I'm about to say has no evidence, only intuition. I hope you..."

"Alright, get to the point, stop rambling on."

Pei Xiang'an stood in front of him, blocking his way, and bowed deeply.

"Song Tingwan".

"I hope you will pay close attention to Song Tingwan."

Pei Yuan stopped and looked at him sharply with his cloudy eyes. "What do you know?"

Not long after Song Tingwan returned to Wenjian Sect for classes, Junior Sister Fuqu came to see him once and also mentioned Song Tingwan.

He had also noticed that she was attentive in class, but her grades were always mediocre. She was considered an average alchemist in Class C. Even when she was refining pills, she was unusually composed in her movements, but there was nothing particularly unusual about her.

Why are they all reminding him to be careful of Song Tingwan?

"This disciple knows nothing, I rely solely on intuition."

Pei Xiang'an looked at Elder Pei frankly, with an urgent stubbornness in her eyes.

If he has evidence, Elder Pei doesn't need to pay any more attention.

He had seen Baili Xijiang go to find Song Tingwan every day, and he had also heard Baili Xijiang mention his master once or twice.

But most importantly, Pei Xiang'an, like Fuqu and the others, did not think that such a calm and gentle woman, whose eyes seemed to encompass everything and remain unperturbed in the face of change, would stay in this mere outer gate.

She is just like Song Siyao; you only need to see them once to know that nothing can restrain the energy within them.

The Sword Inquiry Sect cannot hold them back.

Everyone tacitly agrees that Song Siyao will become a sharp sword once she grows up.

Song Tingwan, on the other hand, always gives people a sense of being from another world.

Engaged in the world, yet not integrated into it.
