Chapter 189 Departure

Ah Yao also left.

Shen Zhuochuan had thought he would be able to spend some time alone with her today.

I didn't expect it to only last an afternoon.

Not long after, Song Chaoxuan returned from the old clan chief's house.

His expression was serious, but when he saw the two of them, a warm smile appeared on his face.

"They're all gone?"

Song Tingwan stood up and smiled at her father by the railing of the viewing platform: "Ayao went back to the Sword Inquiry Sect, Aji went back to the Demon Clan, and the remaining two went into seclusion."

Song Chaoxuan stood below with his hands behind his back. "So hastily? You only have two days left before you set off."

Song Tingwan smiled and shook her head, "Let them be."

Song Chaoxuan glanced at Shen Zhuochuan, who slowly walked to his eldest daughter's side, and chuckled, "Then you two have fun, I'll call you for dinner later."

"good."

Shen Zhuochuan nodded to his future father-in-law from afar.

Song Chaoxuan turned and left. The two stood by the railing for a while before going out for a stroll.

While they were just strolling around, Shen Zhuochuan accompanied her as she rescued some people in towns around Yunyin.

Whenever news spread that the Sleeping Goddess had landed in this place, they would go elsewhere.

It wasn't until Song Chaoxuan sent her a telepathic message.

—Will you come back for dinner?

It's as if she's never home.

Song Tingwan chuckled and chatted with Shen Zhuochuan as they went home.

The same thing happened the next day.

Song Tingwan applied the medicine, and he stood by her side to protect her. If anyone caused trouble, he would knock them unconscious with his spear and throw them away.

No one dared to cause any more trouble.

A fulfilling yet uneventful period of time.

It passed in the blink of an eye.

That night, Song Siyao returned from the Sword Inquiry Sect.

With a stern face, he knocked on his older sister's door.

He awkwardly wanted to say he wanted to sleep with his older sister.

It ended up being tapped two or three times.

No one responded.

She immediately turned her head.

He glared angrily at Shen Zhuochuan's house across the street and stormed off.

I banged on the door a few times.

very good.

It was the middle of the night.

We're setting off tomorrow.

Where else could those two go if they weren't in their room?

Song Siyao sneered and put the pillow away.

He turned and walked outside.

A cool breeze was blowing at night.

She silently searched several places on her sword.

Finally, amidst the green mountains on the outskirts of Yunyin, atop a waterfall cliff, a vine swing had been erected at some unknown time, and the two sat side by side under the moon.

The swing was wobbling.

Her older sister leaned against the man's chest, smiling faintly and glancing sideways as if saying something.

The light hummed.

It seemed like an urging.

Song Siyao paused high in the sky, not approaching.

She took a deep look at them, then left without disturbing them, just as silently as she had come.

The older sister and her future brother-in-law are living a peaceful and happy life.

She can't be a nuisance.

After returning home, Song Siyao thought about it for a while and then moved her pillow to lie down on the outside of her sister's soft bed.

She lay down with her arms crossed, closed her eyes, and waited for her older sister to return.

This wait.

The door was finally pushed open just before dawn.

Hearing the noise, Song Siyao deliberately didn't open her eyes.

Footsteps approached unintentionally, then paused for a moment.

She heard the woman chuckle softly, followed by a rustling sound as her older sister stepped over her and lay down on the inside of the bed.

Only then did Song Siyao silently open her eyes.

They happened to be facing Song Tingwan, who was resting her head on her hand and smiling.

"You waited for me all night? When did you get back? You didn't even tell me."

Oh no, she really didn't know her sister was back.

I thought they wouldn't be back until just before they were about to leave.

"It didn't take long."

Song Siyao turned over and glanced at her older sister, who was staring blankly.

It was just one night.

Seeing her sulking, Song Tingwan chuckled and said softly, "We'll be setting off in a few hours. We're traveling together, so why are you coming to ask me to sleep with you?"

It would be understandable if they had to separate.

Song Tingwan suppressed her laughter and pretended not to know, asking in confusion.

Upon hearing this, Song Siyao pursed her lips and said, "I'm just a little uneasy."

If I don't come to my sister's room, how can I stop her from setting off?

She is not good at lying.

Especially when it comes to one's closest relatives.

"What unease? Did your master say something to you?"

Upon hearing his elder sister mention their master, Song Siyao smiled and handed her a storage ring.

“Master and fellow disciples said they always feel bad about accepting Sister’s gifts. They don’t know how dangerous the journey will be, so they’re preparing some protective items for you.”

Song Tingwan casually took it and glanced at it casually.

Then he froze.

"God, artifact?"

Song Siyao nodded, "A Sound-Binding Bell, an ancient artifact. Shaking the bell can create a barrier around you, within which all living beings are unable to move. Combined with Sister's Amazing Swan skill, it should be quite effective."

One controlled the person, the other committed murder.

That's certainly good.

Song Tingwan laughed, "How can the sect leader be so generous?"

He was so generous, which was unlike him.

Song Siyao smiled too. Her master was reluctant to part with her when he handed her over, clearly feeling a great pang of heartache.

He said that my sister and I had a great responsibility on this trip, and that as the number one sect, the Sword Inquiry Sect should protect its two disciples.

Song Tingwan was slightly taken aback, then laughed.

"My outer disciple badge is still intact."

Therefore, she still holds the identity of the Sword Inquiry Sect.

They could use her title of "Sleeping Goddess" to their advantage, but she didn't mind because of her sister's and her former status as an outer disciple.

However, the Sword Inquiry Sect had already done her favors several times by using her undestroyed outer disciple badge.

It's easy for people to like you.

Song Siyao nodded, "My senior brothers are discussing whether to promote my sister's status from outer disciple to elder."
