Successfully obtained a Heavenly Ladder fragment.
The two sisters were very happy.
When they said goodbye to Nie Wangya and Xiahou Zhiwei, the two sisters still had smiles on their faces.
Meanwhile, within those light screens, the leaders of various factions, seeing their impressive progress, stroked their beards with delight and praised them.
"Now that we know the characteristics of the Heavenly Ladder fragments, things should be much smoother from now on."
"Someone remarked."
But the others were not very optimistic.
Will it go smoothly...? That's hard to say.
The sisters had no idea about the complicated relationship between these people and their father.
They embarked on their journey north once again.
Upon learning of their departure, cultivators from various factions left the small town with regret.
But I'm also glad.
Nothing major happened, and nothing in the city or ordinary people were affected.
They should head to the next city.
Countless people followed in the footsteps of the two sisters.
In the middle of nowhere.
Song Siyao frowned and put his older sister down.
"We won't be able to reach the next city before dark."
Song Tingwan didn't mind, "Let's stay here for the night."
Song Siyao got up to find dry branches to start a fire, and then she walked around the clearing in the woods.
Unlike A Yao, she wasn't picky about her environment.
With a wave of her hand, a small bamboo house appeared out of thin air.
Song Tingwan walked in with a light laugh, pushed open the door, and found that all her daily necessities were already provided inside.
When Song Siyao returned carrying a bundle of firewood, he looked back three times to make sure he hadn't gone the wrong way.
Where is her older sister?
Where did this bamboo house come from?
Just then, the bamboo door was pushed open from the inside, revealing the elder sister's smiling face.
"Come quickly, take a look at the treasure I bought for a thousand top-grade spirit stones."
Song Siyao subconsciously hissed inwardly.
I bought this little house for a thousand top-grade spirit stones.
It buzzed twice, and its quality was comparable to its finest sword oil.
Song Siyao put down the firewood in his arms at the door, clapped his hands, and stepped inside.
"So there's more to it than meets the eye."
It looks like a small house from the outside, but it's surprisingly spacious inside.
It's like a mustard seed space.
Spatial artifacts must be very expensive.
"I thought my sister would move some beds and tables and chairs out, but I didn't expect her to move the whole house out."
Song Tingwan smiled and said, "That's right. Knowing that we're going on a long journey, we have to be fully prepared."
She walked around and sat down at the table in the bamboo house. "There are several rooms. Which one do you like?"
The older sister sat down comfortably, and Song Siyao didn't rush to choose either, but sat down next to her.
"There were quite a few people following us."
They didn't go any closer, but set up camp not far away.
Song Tingwan remained unconcerned, saying, "Let them be."
Song Siyao thought the same way, and told her sister only because she was worried that she might be frightened if she saw it one day.
"We've finally found the Heavenly Ladder fragment. I can sense the energy sphere. Let's pick it up wherever we go and see if it reacts."
Where there is a reaction, there will be traces of the Heavenly Ladder.
"That's a good idea."
After discussing it, the two decided to inquire about the strange phenomena while using the energy sphere to sense them.
After nightfall, Song Siyao went out of the small bamboo hut, lit a fire, sprinkled a circle of medicinal powder around the hut to ward off wild beasts, and set up a protective barrier before returning to the hut.
Nothing happened that night.
It seems that Song Siyao was being overly cautious.
But she didn't mind the trouble and was busy like this in every place she went.
They all thought that once the first fragment was found, things would go much more smoothly with a trail to follow.
In fact, it lasted for half a month.
Nothing was gained.
The air mass returned to a state of deathly calm.
Heading north, Song Tingwan bought a map in the previous city.
They were only halfway to the northernmost point.
Song Tingwan toyed with the glass bottle in her hand, her brows furrowed with worry.
Everything has been peaceful since I obtained the previous fragment.
There was no trace of them, and no danger.
"Could it be... that the method of identifying air masses is wrong?"
She pondered, looking down at the quiet ball of air in her hand.
Song Siyao bought some sesame cakes and came back, shaking his head beside her. "But we asked around along the way, and the strange phenomena in those cities were all due to other reasons."
Some are misunderstandings, while others contain hidden demons and monsters.
They investigated along the way, solving the mystery for the local people, but they themselves found nothing.
"It's not easy..." Song Tingwan murmured to herself.
I anticipated the difficulty.
But they never expected to be in such a confused and bewildered situation, like a headless fly.
Even the string of people following behind them seemed to have some complaints.
The initial enthusiasm turned into skepticism.
Can they truly overcome the Heavenly Tribulation of the Six Realms?
Fortunately, most people were rational, and that small group could only suppress their emotions and continue to follow along, feeling frustrated and anxious.
"Please, let me in! A strange fire has burned down our city, and my identity certificate was burned in my house!"
A group of disheveled people ran over, looking back with extreme fear, as if worried that something was chasing them.
A group of people panicked and talked all at once about how their city had been burned down.
The two Song sisters were both exceptionally beautiful. They stood not far from the city gate, walking slowly toward it, intending to enter the city.
They stopped upon seeing this.
The city gate guard said coldly, "If it were something this big, there would be no news at all. You need an identity document to enter the city."
"It was the immortals who brought us out!"
"Yes, thankfully the immortal is kind-hearted!"
"But the fairy turned back to save more people; it was she who sent us to ask for help!"
