Chapter 63 "Father only knows how to praise A-Yao"

Stepping into the semi-hidden gate, the next instant you can smell the fragrance of bamboo leaves, and hear the cries of cranes and the sound of bamboo flutes echoing in your ears.

The moment you step into it, it's as if you've entered another world.

The bamboo grove is lush and verdant, with bamboo leaves falling one after another.

The trees and plants in the forest were full of life, so vibrant that they seemed to be waving to them.

"Wow, is this Yunyin?" Qin Xi's eyes widened as she looked around curiously.

Song Tingqi couldn't help but chime in: "It's just the entrance; this is the second door."

Qin Xi gave a perfunctory reply, then chuckled at her Wan'er.

"I've never been here before and I'm just curious."

Song Tingwan chuckled, "Let's go."

A group of people eager to return home walked through the forest. In an instant, the bamboo forest shifted, and in the blink of an eye, it seemed as if they had stumbled into a painting.

Below us is a long bridge over the river, surrounded by rivers, pines, and rocks, stretching all the way to the palace complex with green tiles and red wood in front of us.

The flower branches stretch upwards, and a wide street can be seen between the palaces below. The exquisite palaces are arranged in a well-organized manner. Looking up, one can see green mountains embracing the area and green water flowing down.

It's like a fairyland.

Qin Xi exclaimed in surprise, "Wan'er, your Yunyin Sect is even larger than some other sects."

Song Tingwan turned around and couldn't help but chuckle, "Yunyin has only been hidden from the world for a thousand years, not just existed for a thousand years."

"The spiritual energy here is so rich." Wan Qiji felt that the aches and pains in his body were being relieved by the overwhelming spiritual energy.

"Then you should take advantage of our stay here and cultivate diligently."

Song Tingwan pouted.

How could the spiritual energy not be abundant? There are two spiritual mines underground.

The group walked slowly across the bridge. As Song Siyao listened to their conversation, the corners of his lips curled up slightly as he held his sword.

After walking for a while, Song Tingwan suddenly realized something was wrong.

Why is her apprentice so quiet?

The apprentice is being quiet; he must be up to no good.

Song Tingwan turned around and saw Baili Xijiang standing there with his eyes shining, looking at the boundless river around him with eager anticipation.

I wish I could transform into a dragon and play right now.

"Don't rush, you can play with me as you please after we meet the clan leader." She turned back helplessly and grabbed the little dragon that was unwilling to move.

"Master."

Baili Xijiang stared at her intently, without moving.

This is a dragon, you know! If it doesn't want to move, how could Song Tingwan possibly pull it?

Song Tingwan sighed heavily, "You have to come with me for a walk first so that the clansmen know of your existence. Otherwise, if you suddenly revert to your original form, the elders in the clan, unaware of the situation, will come out and beat you up."

If you frighten the elders, things will get complicated.

Baili Xijiang hung his head dejectedly, "Okay."

He also knew that if he could, his master would definitely indulge him with a smile.

Listen to Master and bear with it a little longer, sob sob.

I really want to play in the water.

Baili Xijiang took a step in a huff, then looked up as if sensing something.

A group of people were waiting for them.

Song Siyao stood at the front, holding her sword, and looked back at them with a smile. Her high ponytail swayed back and forth, making her look unusually lively.

Wan Qiji lagged two steps behind her, the giant sword behind him particularly eye-catching, and belatedly turned around.

Song Siyao and Qin Xi, who were closest to him, were startled. One used his movement technique to retreat, while the other screamed and squatted down, covering his head.

"Ah Ji!" Qin Yuanyuan squatted on the ground, her face round with anger.

Fortunately, I've honed my skills over the past two years, otherwise I would have been hit on the head with a big knife again.

Wan Qiji pressed down on the knife behind him with his back hand, and smiled apologetically, "Sorry."

"Okay, okay, I forgive you. Just be more careful next time!"

Qin Xi patted her skirt and stood up, while Song Siyao suppressed a laugh behind them.

My sister's friends are all very interesting.

"Wan'er, Baili Xijiang—"

"Hurry up, I want to go inside and take a look."

Qin Xi waved to them; the noise ahead suggested a lively and bustling scene.

She couldn't wait.

"We're here!" Baili Xijiang responded, following his master back to the group.

A wooden bridge spans the river, and a group of people, full of vigor, walk in small groups toward the gate inscribed with the words "Yunyin".

Reaching the ground beneath my feet.

Looking up, one could see that the inscription was actually formed from sword energy.

"This sword energy is both bold and righteous."

Qin Xi did not practice swordsmanship, but he could vaguely sense the powerful sword energy emanating from the plaque.

It was carved by a highly accomplished senior.

“It was carved by an old ancestor who ascended to immortality from the clouds,” Song Tingwan explained gently, leaving the rest of the sentence unsaid.

This is also the switch for the clan's protective formation.

Baili Xijiang looked up enviously, "All that our dragon clan's ascended ancestors left behind were some shed dragon scales, nothing else."

So stingy.

Wan Qiji stared intently, and after just a moment, even though it was formed from sword intent, he gained a vague enlightenment about the way of cultivating the sword.

But he couldn't quite figure it out. "May I come out and take another look at this plaque later?"

Without needing Song Tingwan or Song Siyao to answer, Song Tingqi said proudly and generously, "Of course."

The Song sisters nodded and smiled.

The group walked slowly forward.

Once inside the gate, it was as bustling as a town in a cultivation world.

But the town's style isn't that...luxurious.

Every person you see on the street is dressed in expensive, colorful robes, and the temples they build are adorned with glazed tiles, green roofs, and vermilion pillars.

"Oh, Wan and the others are back!"

A middle-aged man turned around and saw that everyone on the street was looking at him. Shopkeepers and customers in the shops along the street kept peeking out.

"Ah Wan! Why are you dressed so plainly? I made you a new dress, remember to come and get it!"

"Oh, little Awan, don't mind him. Your auntie here is the perfect match for you—"

After the two clothing store owners finished arguing, the owner of the shop across the street shouted, trying to make sure the whole street could hear: "Ah Wan, your favorite magnolia hairpin has a new design! Uncle will get it for you right away!"
