Qin Xi, who hadn't managed to get any, sadly held the cheese her sister had given her and squeezed past Wan Qiji to sit on the other side of Song Tingwan.
"Since Aji is helping that jerk, I don't want to be friends with you anymore."
Qin Xi finished speaking with a hum and buried her head in her food, scooping out cheese with a spoon.
Song Tingwan handed her a cup of spiritual drink, silently comforting her.
Wanqiji, who had been pushed aside, looked innocently at Baili Xijiang.
Baili Xijiang happily reached for a spoon, shrugged, and said, "Never mind her, Aji, come sit over here."
Qin Xi glared at him, annoyed.
"You can argue all you want, why is Aji being called the bad guy?" Song Tingwan chuckled.
She picked out a plate of sweet pastries and held it up high. Song Siyao, who was next to her, saw it and took it from her.
He channeled his spiritual energy, lifted the plate, and handed it to Wan Qiji.
Wanqiji Chao and Song Tingwan smiled gratefully.
Sometimes, I really wish I could be like Wan'er, someone who is so shrewd and knows everyone's preferences perfectly.
"Don't just eat, you haven't answered the question your sister just asked."
Song Siyao glanced at him indifferently.
Upon hearing this, the dark-skinned man who had just picked up a piece of pastry put it back down and looked at the two sisters with a slightly restrained expression.
“Yes, Aji hasn’t said anything yet.” Song Tingwan glanced at her younger sister without showing any emotion, then turned away to suppress a smile, lowered her brows, and poured tea.
This was the first time that Wan'er didn't look at him with a smile and patience.
Wan Qiji pursed his lips in confusion, feeling inexplicably nervous.
"I'm happy. The spiritual energy in Yunyin is abundant. I've been observing the plaque at the entrance for several days and have gained a lot of insights."
Baili Xijiang, who was engrossed in eating, quietly looked up and curiously glanced around, only to meet the gaze of Qin Xi, who had the same expression.
The two gritted their teeth, turned their heads away fiercely.
"But I heard that you and A Yao spar every day?" Xiao Ao kept shouting downstairs. Song Tingwan smiled and glanced at him as she got up.
"Yes, I have learned a lot from our exchanges."
Wan'er's smile was... sarcastic.
But why make fun of someone when sparring and practicing swordsmanship?
Are you still laughing at him and Miss Si Yao for cutting down the mountain?
Wan Qiji answered methodically, but he was puzzled.
Song Siyao watched her elder sister walk to the wooden railing, her clear eyes looking at her back as she said, "After the mountain was cut, we restrained ourselves during our sparring sessions, elder sister, we won't cause any more trouble."
Clearly, she shared the same guess as Aji.
Song Tingwan had her back to them, struggling to suppress her laughter.
What, even though we've never had those experiences of going through thick and thin together, we're already starting our own?
However, matters of the heart are mysterious and unpredictable, and she did not wish to interfere in their affairs.
If they truly become brothers-in-law, it would be a matter of fate. But if they are not destined to be together in this life, Aji will still be her good friend.
"Alright, Xiao Ao, stop messing with those fish."
With the little white tiger causing a ruckus by the pond, none of the spirit creatures that the father had taken in dared to approach and drink the water.
With a slap, the fish that was biting its claws was stunned. Hearing its owner's voice, Xiao Ao squatted down and tilted its head.
Then, its four paws ran very fast and leaped into its owner's arms.
"Ouch."
Song Tingwan managed to hold onto it, staggering back two or three steps before finally regaining her balance.
Seeing that she had regained her composure, the four people at the table stopped getting up, breathed a sigh of relief, and sat down again.
"What has your father been feeding you these past few days? You've gained so much weight."
Song Tingwan struggled to lift the white tiger in her arms; her hand started to ache after holding it for only a short while.
Little Aow squinted its tiger eyes and rubbed against its owner's neck, "Aww~"
The master's father is so kind, he has so many fragrant things, even tastier than the candy beans that the master's sister gave him.
After stroking the carefree white tiger's head, Song Tingwan, seeing the bright and dazzling sunlight, picked it up and sat down on the recliner under the flower branches.
As soon as she moved, Song Siyao, carrying a bowl of her older sister's favorite chilled dumplings, dragged a stool over and sat down next to her. "Does older sister want some?"
Song Tingwan had just sat down, holding the little fat tiger in her arms, and smilingly accepted the soft and sweet treat her younger sister offered her.
As soon as she answered the call, Wan Qiji paused, picked up a clean gold fork from the table, and went over.
Song Tingwan's smile widened. "Thank you, Aji."
Oh.
The two people who were still eating cheese at the table froze, staring at each other in disbelief.
They were actually beaten to it by Aji.
This is outrageous!
Qin Xi stood up, looked around the spacious coffee table, picked out a bowl of honey-glazed pastry with pineapple blossoms, and thoughtfully took a spoon, dragging a stool over to join them.
"Wan'er, eat this!"
Not to be outdone, Baili Xijiang picked out a plate of soft, bouncy spring water and brought it over, saying, "Master, Master! Do you like this?"
When Wan Qiji returned after handing out the forks, there was no one left at the table; everyone had gathered around Song Tingwan.
After a moment's thought, he dragged his stool over and joined in.
"What are you all doing? Why are you all crowding around me when you were sitting perfectly fine?"
Helplessly, Song Tingwan picked up the iced cold rice balls, poked one with her golden fork, and ate it.
She didn't forget to refuse the two desserts that were offered to her again.
She has the stomach of an average person; how could she possibly eat three plates at once?
Little Awoo lay on her lap, raising its paws and letting out a soft "Awoo—"
Little Ao can eat it!
Seeing this, Qin Xi couldn't help but laugh and pulled the little guy from Wan'er's lap over to her, saying, "Come on, let Sister A-Xi feed our cute little owl."
"Here you go, little one, this portion is for you."
The little white tiger shrank into Qin Xi's arms. Even though it had stayed in Baili Xijiang's arms for a long time last time, it was still too weak, and the aura of the dragon made it instinctively afraid.
Seeing that it wasn't coming, Baili Xijiang angrily carried the stool to his master's side and ate it in a few huffs.
