Chapter 204 Strange Land

If it wasn't an accident, then something must have happened in this city.

This caused no one to approach.

"Be careful." Song Siyao sheathed her sword, warily surveyed the dilapidated houses with holes around her, and reached out to protect her older sister behind her.

Song Tingwan responded.

"There seems to be something strange about this city."

She sensed that besides the demonic energy, there was some other energy surging within her.

The air mass inside the glass bottle was also colliding with the bottle.

But unlike the previous times, this time the air mass seemed to be in a bit of a hurry, hesitating and occasionally bumping into something.

This is the first time such a situation has occurred.

Song Tingwan spread her hands out, and Song Siyao frowned when he saw it.

That's so strange.

Suddenly, a gust of wind picked up beside the two sisters.

A strong wind swept through the dilapidated houses, making a whooshing sound as it passed through the houses.

It adds to the desolate and bleak atmosphere.

It subconsciously makes one's heart tighten.

With a sudden thought, Song Tingwan flew out and hooked her arm around Song Siyao's wrist.

Song Siyao glanced down, then straightened her expression and looked towards the wind tunnel.

She also felt something was wrong.

"Bang--"

Behind them, the earthenware pot suddenly fell off the table.

This caused Song Tingwan to instinctively hide behind her younger sister.

"It's nothing, it's just the wind."

Song Siyao stretched out his arm in front of his older sister, letting her lean on him, and said reassuringly.

But their gaze became more cautious.

Song Tingwan breathed a sigh of relief, but warily told Jinghong to pay attention to the surrounding movements.

The wind blew for quite a while.

Song Tingwan held the pill tightly in her hand, fearing an unexpected accident.

When the wind died down, something seemed to murmur.

The two sisters were puzzled as to whether it was caused by someone causing trouble or by the wind stopping.

The wind stopped, and silence returned.

Suddenly, another flowerpot exploded on the spot.

This surprised the two sisters again.

But strangely, there was no wind this time.

"Who's there? Show yourself!"

Song Siyao coldly retorted.

Song Tingwan was behind her, completely hidden.

She focused her attention to investigate, only to find that her previous affinity with all things in the world seemed to be restricted here.

"Something's not right, Ayao, be careful."

She spoke in a low voice, and just then, the mound of yellow earth and the dilapidated house behind her suddenly collapsed.

But apart from that, there has been no further activity.

The surroundings became eerily quiet once again.

It was as if someone was playing tricks on them from the shadows.

With a stern face, Song Siyao set up a defensive barrier around the two of them.

"...Heh, it's rare to find someone venturing into my territory. Hmm, their cultivation level is not bad."

A strange, androgynous laugh, neither male nor female, surrounded them, sounding like a sigh or a murmur, ethereal and ghostly.

Song Tingwan silently placed an eighth-grade pill into A Yao's hand. Then, Song Siyao held Li Guang horizontally in front of him, and the two slowly walked towards the windy spot.

The search here yielded no results; perhaps we'll find something new as we leave this house.

Beyond the earthen houses, there are even more earthen houses.

There wasn't even a single bird left.

The landscape was desolate, devoid of any living creatures.

Where is there no life?

If there were such a strange place, would Aji not tell them?

I've never heard anyone mention such a thing.

"Could it be that we've wandered into some kind of place by mistake?"

But when it landed from mid-air, there was nothing unusual.

A question arose in their minds.

But staying put wasn't an option, so Song Siyao shielded her older sister behind her and walked along the road, trying to get out.

This place seems to be very big.

After walking for a quarter of an hour, the surrounding area was still full of similar mud houses.

"Are we going in circles?" Song Tingwan frowned as she looked at the mud house that had collapsed into ruins.

Song Siyao nodded, "It's already spinning around in place three times."

She knew it, but after going around a few more times, she seemed to notice something was wrong.

Something seemed off about the room where the earthenware pot had broken at the beginning.

There is a fluctuating force.

But it's neither spiritual energy nor demonic energy.

"Sister, this way."

Song Tingwan responded, and Jinghong tied their hands tightly before they went inside one after the other.

Pushing open the dusty door, there was nothing unusual inside.

Song Tingwan looked around. The room was dimly lit. She wanted to move around and explore, but before she could take two steps and even wave her hand to clear away the dust flying in front of her, she was uncontrollably pulled inside by an invisible door.

At the other end of the swan song, Song Siyao was pulled in as well.

The invisible door rippled slightly, then returned to calm, before disappearing without a trace.

The dilapidated and dimly lit house returned to peace.

The Song sisters' vision blurred.

When their vision returned, the surroundings had changed drastically.

The dimly lit mud house had transformed into the wide Zhuque Avenue, bustling with activity, as if some lively ceremony was taking place.

People passed by them, chatting and laughing as they went.

It felt just like the real world.

Song Tingwan looked at the joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness on their faces, as if they were real people.

But they all lack physical bodies.

It looks like a person when viewed from the front, but when viewed from the side, it is as thin as paper.

"Paper dolls".

Song Siyao silently uttered two words, her voice not loud, but the bustling street seemed to quiet down at that moment.

The paper figures, each doing their own thing, all turned to look over.

That look in his eyes was chilling.

He seems to be angry.

Song Tingwan tapped her sister's palm, and the two slowly backed away.

When all defenses were on high alert, the paper figures seemed to snap out of their daze, withdraw their gazes, and continue their lively journey in a certain direction.

It was eerie, enough to send chills down your spine.
