They gathered in a high and open place.
After the food was cooked, the fire went out. Shen Zhuochuan and Wan Qiji carried the cooked food out and everyone sat down.
The wind was gentle and the clouds were light. Sunlight filtered through the leaves and fell on everyone. Smiling faces overlapped around the low table as people raised their glasses and drank heartily.
"I'm telling you, today I'm going to drink with you until we drop!"
Baili Xijiang raised his cup high and downed a mouthful of wine in one gulp.
They don't have any particular requirements for alcohol, so they rarely bring out strong liquor when they get together.
Today may be a day of great calamity. Although there is still a trip to the Demon Realm, a faint sadness still lingers in everyone's hearts.
What I'm bringing out today is strong liquor.
Everyone was curious, but Song Tingwan covered her lips with her cup to suppress a soft laugh.
Baili Xijiang glanced at them mysteriously, then poured himself another glass of wine.
"I've come up with something called Changyin Dan, which keeps the taste of the wine the same, but prevents people from getting drunk."
Is it awesome or not?
I ask you, aren't you amazing?
Baili Xijiang puffed out his chest and laughed, "You didn't expect this, did you?"
The others looked over helplessly, "You actually came up with this kind of thing."
But Qin Xi hurriedly spread her hands out to him, "You have such a good thing, and you won't share it with me!"
She glared at her with her beautiful round eyes.
He had previously said he liked her.
You don't even know how to share good things!
Big liar.
Baili Xijiang quickly begged for forgiveness, "Yesterday you said you wanted to go out and have fun, I knew we would definitely drink, so I practiced overnight."
Qin Xi took the pills he poured out and swallowed them without hesitation.
She was afraid of getting drunk too quickly, so she only took a small sip.
The medicine is cool and melts in your mouth.
After pausing for a moment, Qin Xi picked up the wine glass and tentatively took a big gulp.
His cheeks puffed out.
Song Tingwan and the others waited with amusement for her reaction.
Baili Xijiang, that annoying person, couldn't resist poking her puffed-up cheeks.
Qin Xi was lucky she didn't spit it out; she quickly swallowed it and turned around to slap him on the arm.
He stepped back a little and said with a grin, "See if it works."
Qin Xi blinked and shook her head.
There was no sense of confusion.
"It seems to be having some effect."
She said uncertainly, and then, under their gaze, she took several more bites.
Sip by sip, the glass of wine was empty.
Song Siyao raised an eyebrow, picked up the wine pot, and filled Qin Xi's cup again.
"It seems to be useful."
These two people, who usually get drunk easily, both drank a whole glass. Their eyes were already blurry, so they couldn't possibly be sitting up straight like this now.
No need to take the drunkard home today.
Song Siyao and Wan Qiji exchanged a glance, relieved to have gotten away with it today.
Having witnessed Baili Xijiang's Changyin Pills, they became curious whether anyone would buy them if they were sold elsewhere.
"Of course! It's incredibly useful for people like us who get drunk easily and love to drink!" Baili Xijiang said, looking at Qin Xi.
It's as if it's asking, "Am I right?"
Qin Xi nodded emphatically, "Someone will definitely buy it."
"You two know you're both bad eaters and love to drink, huh?" Song Tingwan teased.
Shen Zhuochuan curled his lips and poured everyone another round of drinks. "That's good now. We can't use this to make fun of them anymore. But A Yao and A Ji are much more relaxed now."
The four of them looked towards the two who were quiet.
Why aren't these two talking?
Upon closer inspection, it turned out the two were fighting over peanuts.
A single peanut was being fought over by two pairs of chopsticks, one belonging to the number one swordsman and the other to the Demon Lord.
"If word gets out, people will think this peanut is some kind of priceless treasure."
Baili Xijiang watched with great interest.
This must be the most expensive peanut ever sold.
The clouds drifted lazily across the sky, and everyone chatted and drank, but tacitly avoided mentioning the future.
There wasn't a single bad joke.
Even Baili Xijiang, who was just spouting nonsense, avoided using any ominous words.
I fear my words might come true.
They dared not touch it lightly.
The wind comes, the clouds disperse.
The laughter and chatter stopped.
Baili Xijiang and Qin Xi consumed the Changyin Pill, but the other four did not.
Song Tingwan was also drunk, her eyes sparkling, looking at everyone with affection. Qin Xi thought she was used to it, but she still blushed when Song Tingwan stared at her.
Not to mention Chen Zhuochuan.
Even the gentle and refined Venerable Yun Chuan was completely drunk. He sat there with his brows slightly furrowed, staring intently at Song Tingwan.
Baili Xijiang waved his hand frantically in front of him, but it didn't make him look away even a fraction.
Song Siyao's face remained serious, but her blush was undeniable.
Then, belatedly noticing Shen Zhuochuan's gaze, she pouted unhappily and immediately called out "Sister."
Song Tingwan rested her elbows on the low table, gently rubbing her temples. Upon hearing this, her eyes softened with confusion, and her drunkenness deepened. "Baby, what's wrong, Ayao?"
His voice sounded a little strained, tinged with the smell of alcohol.
The last syllable of her voice was even more upturned than her curved eyes.
Song Siyao was smug. With her eyes blurry with drunkenness, she also leaned on the table like her older sister and stared at her.
Beside her, Wan Qiji's gaze never left her.
“Ah Yao.”
Song Siyao looked back, bewildered.
Why would you call someone out for no reason?
As she turned around, Shen Zhuochuan, who was standing next to Song Tingwan, took the hand of his beloved woman.
Even though she was drunk and her spiritual energy was somewhat disordered, he still managed to condense a very small spiritual flower for her and place it in her hand.
"The previous ones have all fallen apart."
Upon hearing this, Song Tingwan's eyes, which had been filled with drunkenness, seemed to regain some clarity.
