Chapter 64 "We Must Not Show Favoritism"

Song Tingwan looked back innocently.

What does it have to do with her?

The father and daughter exchanged glances constantly.

Remembering that the clan leader was still behind, Song Chaoxuan withdrew his gaze and smiled:

"You are all good children. Uncle will entertain you later. Let's first meet the patriarch of our Cloud Hidden Clan."

As Song Chaoxuan spoke, he turned slightly to the side, and the deep-set man in red robes and white hair nodded to him, a deep smile in his eyes.

This guy only remembered his position as clan leader after he had already caused a ruckus.

Song Chaoxuan smiled and led them to the clan leader, introducing him gently: "This is our Yunyin Clan Clan leader, Song Hexi."

"According to seniority and age, you can call him Grandpa Clan Chief."

Qin Xi was the first to raise her hand in disagreement.

“Grandpa? I’ve suddenly realized something since I came in.”

"What problem? My master's family has no problems at all!" Baili Xijiang said, puffing out his chest and raising his head.

Wan Qiji looked at her with a puzzled expression.

The Song sisters smiled and glanced sideways.

Song Chaoxuan and Song Hexi stood side by side, looking at the little girl with kind eyes.

"Wan'er's clansmen are all so good-looking. I can't bring myself to call him Grandpa. Can I call him Uncle Clan Chief?"

Qin Xi had round, bright eyes that always looked innocent and sincere when she looked at people.

She is most pleasing to the elders.

Song Hexi smiled and nodded, "A-Wan's friend is indeed as sweet-talking as A-Wan."

He rarely smiled or laughed within the clan, and even his grandson, Song Tingqi, looked at him in disbelief.

Grandpa was always very gentle with Song Tingwan and the others, which made his grandson extremely envious.

Everyone laughed upon hearing this, and the atmosphere immediately became harmonious.

After a moment, Song Hexi smiled at the group of juniors and said, "You have all had a long and tiring journey. I shouldn't have let you come here, but I still have to say a few words to you about Yunyin."

Besides Baili Xijiang and his two companions, there were no other outsiders here.

The three of them stood obediently in a row, listening attentively to the lesson.

"The Cloud Hidden Clan Festival will be held in half a month. The Cloud Hidden Clan will be busy and chaotic during this half month. There may be some shortcomings in our hospitality. Please forgive us."

"Furthermore, the people of my clan have different temperaments, and some of the elders have bad tempers. If you young friends offend them, don't hesitate to come to me and Chaoxuan, or go to the sisters. It's the same."

Within the clan, some eccentric old men and women didn't tolerate them.

Take, for example, that old crane herder, who has lived for many, many years. The clan leader, Song Hexi, was named by him.

You absolutely cannot touch that crane. If even a single feather falls from a crane as it flies past you, he'll chase after you with his cane and beat you up.

He beat up many of the mischievous members of the Cloud Hidden Clan, and even a small number of innocent people couldn't escape being beaten up.

Song Tingwan whispered a word of encouragement, and Baili Xijiang shrank back, thankfully he hadn't transformed into human form.

Its original form is enormous; if it rolls over or flicks its tail, who knows if it might startle a crane and cause it to lose its feathers.

Qin Xi and Wan Qiji nodded seriously, indicating that they would definitely behave themselves.

"Hehe, I get it! Anyway, I'll just stay by Wan'er's side. Wherever Wan'er goes, I'll go, and I won't cause any trouble!" Qin Yuanyuan said cleverly, her eyes darting around.

Song Tingwan smiled and tapped her forehead, "You're so smart."

Song Hexi smiled at them, leaving Song Tingqi behind, and waved for them to go and rest.

Song Tingqi shuddered and silently lowered his head, following his highly respected grandfather into the high pavilion.

I'll be randomly checked on my studies and cultivation progress again, and a scolding is inevitable.

Song Tingqi lowered his proud head, a rare occurrence, and secretly covered his ears, somewhat frightened.

I'm going to get yelled at again soon.

Unlike Song Tingqi, who was filled with fear and trepidation, Song Tingwan and her group went home happily.

Their courtyard is not far from here, but it is a small courtyard nestled against the mountain, and you can see the white magnolia tree planted at the entrance as soon as you enter.

"Come in, this is our home."

The two sisters lagged two steps behind their father. Song Tingwan, holding her younger sister's hand, turned to her friends and smiled.

Pushing open the door, one sees a lotus pond with shimmering water and swimming fish, pavilions and corridors, and a few kittens that run away at the sight of people.

"Father has taken in quite a few more spiritual creatures?"

Song Chaoxuan paused, "They came here on their own."

Song Tingwan and her sister exchanged a light smile.

Song Siyao raised an eyebrow in disbelief.

Song Chaoxuan was favored by Heaven and also learned the art of divination. He was kind and gentle, and was very popular with the spirits of Heaven and Earth.

So he used all his spirit stones to feed those little guys.

"By the way, Father, you can't favor one over the other. My little Ao wants one too, and so does my new weapon, the Moonlit Thousand Silk Silk."

Song Tingwan took out a bewildered little Ao from her mustard seed space, untied the Moonlight Silk Silk from her wrist, and stuffed it all into her father's hands.

Then, he turned around and winked at Song Siyao.

Song Siyao was stunned for a moment, and then, under her elder sister's suggestive gaze, she stuffed the Li Guang in her hand into Song Chaoxuan's hand as well.

She felt a little embarrassed and awkwardly clasped her empty hands together, saying, "Thank you, Father."

She followed her older sister's example meticulously.

Awkward yet adorable.

Song Chaoxuan suppressed a laugh as he looked at the two divine artifacts in his hands.

One floated and wrapped around his hand in response, while another buzzed and burrowed into his arms.

Only Xiao Ao was hit by Li Guang, and his little body swayed and he almost fell down.

Song Chaoxuan swiftly scooped it up and expertly stroked its fluffy head.

"Alright, alright, whatever you say."

After saying that, he picked up the little tiger and looked at it, then said with a gentle surprise, "Oh, it's a little white tiger."

Little Ao turned to look at its owner, and under its owner's smiling eyes, it let out a soft, childish howl at Song Chaoxuan.

It's soft, sweet, and makes your heart melt.
