Side Story: A Few Things About the Divine Realm - Part Two

The next day, Qin Xi and Wan Qiji's ancestors both came looking for them.

The group of people gathered together, completely dumbfounded.

What if our ancestors from ten or twenty thousand years ago come knocking on our door?

“Regardless of whether they have returned to their clan, we should at least make a trip to see them.” Song Tingwan shared the same opinion as Song Siyao.

"We are waiting for you in the Fuxuan Clan."

The group clinked glasses under the moon, sharing the same thoughts.

.

One month later.

The Song Tingwan sisters encountered the once-in-a-century Lantern Festival in Xuancheng.

That day, Song Tingwan was still telling A Yao that it was a pity they couldn't make it back in time.

At night, the entire city was illuminated by the celestial lanterns, creating a dreamlike scene. People from the divine realm came to Xuan City to participate in the Divine Lantern Festival. Because there were so many people outside, Song Chaoxuan and his wife Wu Shu, worried about them, asked their two daughters to stay close to them.

But not long after they went out, the two sisters were separated by the crowd.

The two held hands tightly, walked to an open space to the side, looked at each other in silence, and then burst into laughter.

"So many people at the Lantern Festival in the divine realm." Song Siyao looked at the crowd and said speechlessly.

Song Tingwan stood beside her and chuckled, "The divine realm relies on cultivation and the faith and offerings of all living beings. Most gods, after reaching a certain level of cultivation, travel around to cultivate their minds."

Wherever there's excitement, that's where they'll be.

The two sisters stared blankly at the crowded people for a while.

"Sister, should we still look for our parents?" Song Siyao asked.

Song Tingwan looked at it with a worried expression, and then said in a deep voice, "Let's explore on our own."

Song Siyao nodded, and the two of them once again became part of the crowd.

There was no time to buy any lamps because everyone was so crowded, but as we went further, we saw a fairyland.

Jade palaces and towering pines, lanterns hanging high, nine glazed bridges spanning the Milky Way, countless lanterns suspended in the air, ethereal and dreamlike.

"Wan'er—"

The familiar voice mingled with the bustling crowd, making the two sisters turn around immediately.

Qin Xi, her dress fluttering, ran towards them from afar, her eyes crinkling with laughter as she lifted her skirt.

Beside her was Baili Xijiang, who was waving and grinning foolishly at them, followed by two composed men.

Song Tingwan was delighted, "Why did you all come back together?"

Baili Xijiang winked at them, "Because before we left, my uncle said, how could we let you two spend such a lively Lantern Festival alone?"

Qin Xi chuckled and looked at Shen Zhuochuan and Wan Qiji, who were walking slowly behind him.

Song Tingwan covered her lips and softly called out to the gentle man who was walking towards her, "Husband."

Song Siyao raised an eyebrow at Wan Qiji while holding her sword, and Wan Qiji walked to her side in tacit understanding.

Shen Zhuochuan took his wife's hand, his eyes crinkling with a smile, "Now that everyone's here, we can go shopping together."

The group of six set off again.

I bought all sorts of lights, and as I was passing a bridge, I suddenly heard the sound of fireworks exploding.

Everyone looked up and saw fireworks blooming in the sky.

"The fireworks in the divine realm are no different from those in our mortal world."

Baili Xijiang looked up and suddenly remembered the fireworks he had watched at the top of Yunque, when all six of them were together.

"Haha, actually the lights aren't that different." Qin Xi laughed.

Against the backdrop of fireworks, Baili Xijiang stole glances at her smiling face, and then, hidden beneath his wide sleeves, quietly took her hand.

Qin Xi was taken aback, then his smile deepened, the various colored lights concealing the girl's blushing embarrassment.

Song Tingwan and Shen Zhuochuan held hands and heard the gentle man laugh as he said, "It is said that if you make a wish at the moment the fireworks bloom, you will receive a blessing."

Hearing this, she looked up at the dazzling fireworks and smiled at Ayao beside her, "Then I hope—"

May every year be like this morning.

With family and friends all around, I hope that all the days to come will be as happy as today.

Song Siyao and her older sister exchanged a glance and chuckled, "Yes."

Wan Qiji looked at the woman in red beside him and smiled inwardly.

Yes.

May every year be like this morning!

Baili Xijiang and Qin Xi shouted as the six of them stood on the bridge, their smiling faces more radiant than fireworks.
