Chapter 47 After Marriage

Chapter 47 After Marriage

Jialuo hurried through the gates of Cining Palace.

They were shocked by what they saw.

It was already late at night, and the bright lights inside the Cining Palace only made the surrounding darkness stand out even more.

The courtyard was extremely lively.

The courtyard was filled with kneeling palace maids and eunuchs, but only three people stood.

Jialuo saw a pretty figure wearing an outer robe, kneeling on the ground, her black hair scattered on her back, her body trembling visibly.

Fu Lin stood barefoot, his upper body exposed, his expression cold, his dark eyes filled with rage, the sharp blade in his hand pointed directly at the woman opposite him.

Mubumutai stared in disbelief, seemingly shocked by the point the boy was pointing at with his sword.

Her delicate eyebrows shot up sharply as she roared, "Let him stab me! Let him come! I'll see how he murders his mother!"

Upon hearing this, Sumala immediately knelt before Mubumutai.

Su Mala's lips trembled, and she said in a hoarse voice, "Master, Master, His Majesty is delirious!"

Upon hearing this, Fu Lin let out a cold laugh.

With a hoarse voice, he asked sharply, "Empress Mother, what am I to you?"

"To think that you would use someone like an animal."

"How could I dare to kill my mother? Why do you have to pin such a accusation on my son?!"

After Fu Lin finished speaking, he immediately twirled his sword and placed the sharp blade against Fu Lin's neck.

"ah!!!"

Meanwhile, Mubumutai's expression changed drastically, and he reached out blankly, seemingly to stop him.

The security guards, on their knees, crawled forward, seemingly also trying to stop them.

In a flash, Galo understood what had happened.

She hurriedly stepped inside, ran straight to Fu Lin, and grabbed the sharp blade tightly.

"master!!!"

A gasp of surprise came from behind them, from those emeralds and agates.

Jialuo felt a chill in her palm, and then felt her blood flowing out.

Fu Lin turned to look at her.

The boy's face was tense, and his eyes still held a thunderous rage.

The moment Jialuo met the boy's eyes, she sensed a profound loneliness and despair in him.

Her heart trembled slightly, and she said, "Your Majesty, I have arrived."

The boy just stared at her, his face stiff.

But he suddenly lowered his eyes and then abruptly released the sword in his hand.

Jialuo followed his gaze and saw the blood in her palm, flowing down the sword onto his fingers.

The young man grabbed her hand, threw the sword aside, and roared, "Who gave you the audacity to block my sword?!"

Jialuo released her hand and felt a tingling sensation in her palm, followed by a piercing pain.

"Quickly, summon the imperial physician!!"

With the emperor's roar, the tension and coldness throughout the courtyard seemed to be forcefully pushed apart.

Mubumutai, supporting Sumala's hand, straightened up and said in a hoarse voice, "Come inside quickly. It's cold and the dew is heavy. Don't hurt yourself."

Jialu subconsciously looked up at Fulin, only to see his face filled with gloom.

The young man glanced at her, then swept her up in his arms and carried her toward the main hall.

"!!!"

Jialu instinctively wrapped her arm around the boy's neck with her uninjured hand, her gaze falling on the girl kneeling on the ground.

The girl was stunned with fear, curled up and kneeling on the ground. At this moment, all Jialuo could see was the girl's swollen forehead.

But it also allowed Galo to see who it was.

At this moment, no one dared to pay attention to him; the palace maids and eunuchs were kneeling all over the ground, as was this trembling girl.

Jialu sighed silently; the emperor's thunderous wrath caused blood to flow like a torrent.

This was not the time for her to speak, and she dared not interfere further.

But in the end, she couldn't stand it.

Jialuo withdrew her gaze and looked at the boy.

"Your Majesty, please make them all get up. It's so cold; in just half an hour, they might lose half their lives."

Upon hearing this, the boy did not reply, but carefully placed her on the couch.

With his other hand, he carefully held her injured wrist to prevent her from moving.

The boy never met her gaze, only looking down at the bloody wound in her palm.

"Your Majesty, let them all go to the side hall; it's very cold."

Jialuo lowered her voice, as if she only wanted to say it to him.

The boy lifted his eyelids, and his dark eyes fell heavily on her face.

The boy stared at her for a long time, and just when Jialuo thought the boy wouldn't agree, he said in a deep voice, "Tell them to get lost."

The security guard was taken aback, then quickly replied, "Yes."

He then went outside, and a short while later, a voice came from outside saying, "Thank you, Your Majesty, and Your Majesty the Empress for sparing our lives."

Then the rustling sound stopped.

Jialuo wanted to turn around and take another look, but the boy stopped her.

"how?"

Jialu pursed her lips and said softly, "It's nothing."

The boy sat beside her on the couch, the two of them close together.

Jialu could even sense the boy's aura and the lingering traces of heat.

"…………"

She then noticed that the boy had scratches on his chest and even his shoulders.

"!!!!"

Perhaps it was because her gaze was too direct, but the boy's face changed once again, becoming even more gloomy.

"Your Majesty, this servant will help you put on your robe."

The security guards, moving like camels, hurried along and draped a brand-new coat over Fu Lin's shoulders.

Meanwhile, the Empress Dowager, who had remained silent all along, sat on the other side of the couch, silently watching Jialuo and Fulin.

But her gaze made Jialu extremely uncomfortable, as if she could see right through Jialu.

Fu Lin clearly sensed it too. He gave a cold smirk and turned to look at Mubumutai.

"What, Your Majesty, are you looking at me and the Empress like this because you want me to take advantage of the effects of the medicine and, right here with the Empress, fulfill the ethical obligations you once fulfilled with my father and my father, the Regent?!"

Upon hearing this, Jialuo was so shocked she almost vomited.

Oh my god!

Oh my god!!!

Jialu didn't even know if she had controlled her expression.

How dare he say that?!

Jialuo felt that the Empress Dowager might kill everyone in the room at this moment.

Apart from her, the Emperor, and Sumala, no one was left alive.

Mubumutai's face turned deathly pale, but her eyes held an arrogant and fierce look as she stared at Fulin, surprisingly without uttering a single word.

After Fu Lin finished speaking, he only glanced at her before turning to look at Jia Luo.

The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Even if Jialuo had ten times the courage, she wouldn't dare to speak, and she didn't know what to say.

And her hand began to hurt more and more until the imperial physician rushed in, and the atmosphere in the room became less oppressive.

"The Empress's injury is an external wound, and it did not break any bones. However, the wound is quite deep and she needs to take good care of it."

"Um."

The imperial physician carefully wiped away the blood with gauze, revealing some deep, whitish wounds.

Jialuo clearly felt Fulin's body tense up instantly, and his brows furrow tightly.

While waiting for the imperial physician to treat her wound, Jialuo was sweating profusely from the pain.

The imperial physician was clearly prepared; he fed Jialuo a pill as soon as he entered. Jialuo was drowsy and didn't last long before falling asleep.

………

The next morning, Jialuo suddenly opened her eyes with a gentle twitch.

The pain in her palm instantly brought her back to her senses.

Jialuo turned her head to look at her burning, swollen, and painful palms, but instead saw the boy lying on his side on the couch.

The boy was clearly not asleep. It was almost dawn outside, and in the dim, grayish-white light, he opened his eyes, his dark pupils still heavy with sleep.

"She woke up so early."

The young man got up, walked to her, and sat on the embroidered stool by the bed.

Jialu blinked and asked in a low voice, "Your Majesty, why aren't you going to sleep?"

Fu Lin curled his lips slightly, but there was no smile in his expression.

He looked at Jialuo, and Jialuo looked at him.

Then the smile on his lips slowly disappeared.

“Galo,”

The boy called her name softly.

They fell silent again.

Just as Jialuo was about to agree, the boy raised his hand and stroked her face.

The boy's hands were not as smooth and flawless as they appeared.

The roughness of her palm scraped against her skin, creating a strange, itchy sensation.

This time, Galo did not dodge the boy's touch, because she saw immense sadness in his eyes.

"New Sari, you are too kind."

“You shouldn’t be living in this chaotic palace.”

The boy's palms were so dry and hot that the skin that the two touched was only the size of a palm.

But this made Jialu feel the boy's deep reluctance to part and his burning love.

"I will send you to your preferred villa in the suburbs of the capital."

Of course, Jialuo was willing to go; she was more than willing to go.

Just as her eyes lit up, the boy's hand slowly moved downwards, and Jialuo panicked.

The boy's hand merely pinched her chin, gently but firmly, making her look up, and their eyes met directly.

"I will send you to a villa in the suburbs of the capital, but you must behave yourself and not see any other men!"

Jialuo nodded slowly, her voice full of earnestness, and said, "Your Majesty, why would I want to see other men?"

After saying this, Fu Lin did not reply, but just looked at her.

Jialuo quickly added, "Even though I am not married to Your Majesty, having seen Your Majesty's handsome appearance, how could I find any other man pleasing to the eye?"

Fu Lin nodded and said in a low voice, "Hmm, I believe you on this point."

"I know you often stare blankly at my face."

Jialuo: "..."

"Alright, your hand injury isn't serious. As long as you're in this palace, I can't rest easy for a single day. The sooner you leave, the more at ease I'll be."

"Now that you're far from the inner palace, and you're the Empress Dowager's own niece, she won't scheme against you anymore. Your future will be quite comfortable."

Fu Lin withdrew his hand, then looked at her palm and asked, "Any requests regarding going to the other courtyard?"

Jialuo looked at the boy in disbelief; she never imagined she could make a request.

She thought for a moment, then tentatively asked, "Then... could Angel come with me?"

Fu Lin nodded slightly, and Jia Luo thought of the girl kneeling on the ground last night.

"Then...then Consort Tong, could you spare her life?"

Fulin did not answer her, but remained silent for a moment before asking, "Xinsa Ri, do you want your child to become the emperor of the Qing Dynasty?"
