Chapter 280 The Dust-Forgotten Story

Qiao Ruoxi changed her pace and followed Chen Qin to her room.

Chen Qin's room is decorated simply, with only black, white and gray as the colors, but traces of life can be seen. It is obvious that Chen Qin has been living in the old house for some time.

"You called me here, what's the matter?" There was an awkward atmosphere in the air, and Qiao Ruoxi spoke first.

Chen Qin swallowed, smiled reluctantly, and looked at a white wall.

"Actually, I just wanted to ask you if you'd like to take a family photo with me, Mom, Ling Feng, Ling Fei, and Ling Ran."

Qiao Ruoxi also looked at the white wall. It was obvious that it used to be a place where photos were hung.

"I know my suggestion is a bit excessive. If you don't like it, just pretend I never said anything. I'll take you out." Chen Qin lowered her head.

"Okay." Qiao Ruoxi withdrew her gaze and spoke lightly.

Chen Qin was stunned for a moment, and hadn't reacted yet: "Okay what?"

"You can take pictures." Qiao Ruoxi repeated.

Chen Qin seemed to have not expected Qiao Ruoxi to agree so readily, and was immediately overjoyed.

"Really? Then tomorrow, I'll pick you up at the Daytime Villa. Are you living at the Daytime Villa now? Or are you staying at the Luo...Luo family?"

Having said this, Chen Qin paused, as if the two words "Luo family" were hot to the lips.

"Let's go back to the Sun Villa tonight. I'll go back to the crew after finishing the photo shoot tomorrow." Qiao Ruoxi responded.

Chen Qin nodded immediately: "Okay, then I'll ask Uncle Liao to make an appointment early so that you don't miss your trip to the crew."

"If there's nothing else, I'll go back first." Qiao Ruoxi avoided Chen Qin's fiery gaze, which made her a little unhappy.

However, just as she reached the door, Chen Qin called her again, her voice choked with sobs.

"Ruoxi, don't you have anything you want to ask me? Why did I abandon you? And why did I treat Sun Suyun as my own daughter..."

Qiao Ruoxi paused slightly and turned to look at Chen Qin.

"So you want to tell me something to alleviate the guilt in your heart?" Qiao Ruoxi asked expressionlessly.

Chen Qin choked and swallowed the words that were on the tip of her tongue: "That's not what I meant, I..."

Qiao Ruoxi took a deep breath. She could feel a tightness in her chest, and she didn't know if it came from her own emotions or the remaining emotions of the original owner.

She walked back to Chen Qin and looked into her eyes: "Tell me, what happened back then."

Chen Qin was stunned for a moment, and tears fell down.

She thought that this story, which had been buried for almost twenty years, would be taken to her grave.

"Back then, I was angry with my mother and went to Yun City alone to discuss business. I didn't expect the other party to be a liar and tricked me into going to northern Myanmar."

"They first confiscated my communication tools, completely cutting me off from my family. Then they forced me to join a pyramid scheme, brainwashing me over and over again, teaching me how to deceive people and even using my body to do so."

"Anyone who disobeyed would be beaten and scolded. If anyone betrayed or ran away, they would be killed if they were caught. I saw with my own eyes my former companion being mauled into a bloody mess by a pack of wolfhounds."

Having said that, Chen Qin grabbed the back of the chair with trembling hands.

"Then you met Luo Xuanshen?" Qiao Ruoxi asked.

Chen Qin's eyes flickered and she nodded: "Well, I am also stubborn. I thought that instead of being manipulated here, I might as well try to escape. The worst that can happen is death."

"I did manage to escape, but I was soon discovered. They sent a lot of people to capture me. The barking of the wolfhounds was getting closer and more ferocious."

"Just when I thought I was going to become a bloody corpse, the man appeared. He covered my mouth and nose and took me into a cave. I successfully hid from those people."

"That man was groping me all over. I thought I had just escaped a tiger's den and walked right into a wolf's lair. I punched and kicked him, but I didn't expect he was actually blind."

"And what he took out of me was a tracker." Having said this, Chen Qin suddenly smiled.

"Did he take you out?" Qiao Ruoxi asked.

Chen Qin shook her head: "Later I found out that he appeared here to complete a mission and kill someone. If this person didn't die, he wouldn't be able to get out of here alive."

"I don't know if it was out of sympathy or some other reason, but seeing him groping around blindly, I actually agreed to stay and help him complete the mission."

Qiao Ruoxi raised her eyebrows. If her father was really so blind that he had to grope around everywhere, how could he escape from pursuit with Chen Qin?

However, she did not express this doubt, but continued to listen to Chen Qin's next words.

"The man he wanted to kill was the leader of the most powerful organization in northern Myanmar at the time. We disguised ourselves as a couple and infiltrated that organization."

"I thought it was rare for him, a blind man, to have achieved this. How could he possibly kill the leader of that organization? I was afraid I would be here for the rest of my life. So I made the fake play real and became his real wife..."

Shen Qin was silent for a moment.

"But later he did it and completed the task." Qiao Ruoxi's tone was almost certain.

Luo Xuanshen is the kind of person who will not give up until he achieves his goal. As long as he sets his mind to something, there is nothing he cannot do.

Chen Qin nodded. "Yes, he is the most powerful and charming man I have ever met. He instigated a group of people to work for him, started a civil war, and made them both lose. In the end, he took the head of the target person with his own hands."

"I thought I would be scared, but at that time, my first reaction was excitement and excitement." There was a light in Chen Qin's eyes that had never been there before.

"He told me that he would take me away once everything was over. I believed him and was about to tell him I was pregnant when one of his colleagues came to me."

"That person took out a marriage certificate and told me that Luo Xuanshen was married and that we were just having a casual relationship."

"That man arranged everything for me. He even picked up Sun Zheng and went to Qiaojia Town in the country to wait for me. He said that as long as I lived in Qiaojia Town under an assumed name for a year, I could return home and live my original life."

"At that moment I chickened out. I realized the fairy tale was over and I would eventually have to return to reality, carrying with me a sense of guilt and betrayal towards Sun Zheng."

"I lied to Mom that I was traveling with Sun Zheng. In fact, we have been living in Qiaojia Town."

"I discovered that Sun Zheng was having an affair with a woman from Qiaojia Town, but I wasn't sad at all. Instead, I felt a little guilty. I felt like I owed Sun Zheng something and I shouldn't have been so harsh on him."

"Until you were born in the clinic in Qiaojia Town..."

Having said that, Chen Qin closed her eyes.
