Jiang Bai exclaimed incredulously, "Xiao An, what are you doing here?"
The zookeeper Xiao An, whom I had just met, was completely different from how he appeared during the day. During the day, he was young and handsome, but now he had an added touch of charm.
He lay on the bed, chuckling to himself, "Sister Jiang, I'll take care of you."
Jiang Bai was absolutely furious. Anyone would curse if they saw a naked man in their bed at midnight, especially since she had a splitting headache and just wanted to go to sleep.
Afraid of hurting the child's self-esteem, she suppressed her impatience and simply said, "I don't need you to serve me. Get out of here, and I'll pretend this never happened."
Xiao An didn't move, his expression turned pitiful, and he said in a tearful voice, "Sister, do you think I'm not good enough, that's why you don't want me?"
“You’re doing great,” Jiang Bai patiently reasoned with the other person, “but I’m already married, I have a husband, and I have two children.” Although they aren’t her own.
Xiao An sat up and moved forward, trying to hug Jiang Bai.
Jiang Bai quickly took two steps back to prevent the other person's hand from reaching him.
Xiao An pouted angrily: "If you don't tell, and I don't tell, how will your husband know?"
Jiang Bai said, "Stop being unreasonable. If you keep this up, I'll call for help."
Xiao An, in a fit of despair, lay back on the bed: "Go ahead and yell. I have no relatives or friends here, so it doesn't matter if my reputation is ruined. But you, as the big boss..."
Jiang Bai shouted, "Xiao Liu, throw him out!"
Before Xiao An could react, a man dressed in black suddenly jumped out of the window.
This is the bodyguard who has always been by Jiang Bai's side.
He was over eight feet tall. He watched the farce on the bed with a blank expression, then reached out and pulled Xiao An down.
Xiao An, feeling helpless as such a tall man grabbed her, said, "I can walk by myself. Let me put on some clothes first."
He casually picked up his outer robe from the chair and put it on, then looked curiously at the bodyguard Xiao Liu before turning to Jiang Bai and asking, "Sister Jiang, is this your husband?"
Jiang Bai said coldly, "These are the bodyguards my husband arranged to protect me."
There were secret guards!
Xiao An's eyes darted around, and she felt even more that Jiang Bai was extraordinary.
He grinned and leaned closer, asking, "The bodyguard is so handsome, isn't your husband afraid something might happen between you two?"
"I'm not afraid, because my husband is much more handsome than him." Jiang Bai took a step back, too lazy to waste any more words with him.
She said, "Aren't you leaving? I'll count to five, and if you don't leave, I'll have Xiao Liu throw you out."
"five--"
Xiao An said with a grin, "Sister, I really like you."
"Four--"
"Don't rush, don't rush, I'm walking out." Xiao An walked towards the door.
"three--"
Xiao An stood at the door and said, "So, Sister Jiang, the reason you don't get along with me is because your husband sent secret guards to keep an eye on you at all times."
"two--"
He said, "When the secret guards are gone, let me know and I'll come find you."
"one--"
Xiao An had already taken one foot out, but couldn't help turning back: "Sister, I truly like you..."
Before he could finish speaking, Xiao Liu, following Jiang Bai's instructions, kicked the man away.
Seeing Xiao An slink away, Jiang Bai immediately yawned and called to the only female bodyguard beside her: "Xiao Ba."
"What's wrong?" Xiao Ba was chubby, her little chest was constricted by her night clothes, and she looked like a larger-than-life New Year's picture doll. When she heard Jiang Bai call her, she immediately jumped in.
Jiang Bai yawned again: "Could you find me another clean quilt to change into?"
They never let anyone get a proper night's sleep.
Xiao Ba nodded and left through the window like a whirlwind. Less than fifteen minutes later, he was back climbing out the window with a large quilt in his arms.
Jiang Bai, afraid that the hard-won blanket would get dirty, quickly called out, "Go to the door."
"Oh." Xiao Ba nodded and stepped down from the window.
She moved swiftly, directly changing the bedding that Xiao An had lain on for Jiang Bai and taking it in her hands.
Jiang Bai lay comfortably on the bed, finally letting out a sigh of relief, feeling as if all the bones in his body that had been broken apart had returned to their places.
She was still half asleep when she suddenly opened her eyes wide and looked at Xiao Liu and Xiao Ba, saying, "There's no need to report this little thing to Zhao Yi. It's so boring."
Xiao Liu and Xiao Ba looked at each other in bewilderment.
Before Jiang Bai could get a reply from them, and was about to close her eyes again, Xiao Ba's timid voice reached her ears: "Madam, it's too late."
Jiang Bai's eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at Xiao Ba.
Xiao Ba opened and closed his mouth, uttering the cruelest words in the world: "The moment Xiao An appeared on your bed, Xiao Qi rushed back to inform the head of the household."
Jiang Bai blinked, and after his mind had fully grasped what Xiao Ba had said, he lay motionless on the bed, feeling utterly powerless.
She thought to herself: My life is over!
Xiao An is a very persistent person. She waited at Jiang Bai's room door early in the morning with a bowl of milk in her hand.
When Jiang Bai opened the door, he smiled broadly at him, handing him the bowl and saying, "This is breakfast for everyone. I personally squeezed the milk today."
Jiang Bai didn't answer, coldly saying, "I never drink milk."
That's such a poorly told lie!
Xiao An wished she could jump eight feet high and have a good debate with this woman who was spouting nonsense.
If Jiang Bai didn't drink milk, why would he open a milk tea shop and invest in a dairy farm?
After thinking it over, Xiao An still felt that she could win him over with gentleness. Even though Jiang Bai rejected her many times, she didn't get angry. She just said, "It's normal that you don't dare to approach me because there are guards watching over us. But the milk is innocent, so don't waste it."
Jiang Bai thought about it and felt that what Xiao An said made sense. Just as she was about to reach out and take the bowl, she saw Zhao Yi approaching with a dark face.
He took the bowl with one hand and put his other arm around Jiang Bai's shoulder, saying to Xiao An, "Jiang Bai doesn't like to drink this, so I'll drink it for her."
After saying that, he tilted his head back and drank the whole bowl of warm milk with some sugar in one gulp, as if he were drinking alcohol.
Xiao An looked at the man in front of her, unsure how to respond for a long time.
After Zhao Yi finished drinking, he put the bowl back in Xiao An's hand, took out a handkerchief from Jiang Bai's pocket to wipe his mouth, and then put it back.
Xiao An forced a smile and asked Jiang Bai, "And who is this?"
Jiang Bai introduced Xiao An: "This is my husband, Zhao Yi."
She then said to Zhao Yi, "This is Xiao An, a very skilled animal feeder at the factory."
"Xiao An," Zhao Yi smacked his lips, then asked, "What's your surname?"
Xiao An smiled and said, "I have no father or mother, so naturally I don't have a surname."
He turned to look at Jiang Bai and said earnestly, "If Sister Jiang doesn't mind, can I take your surname, Jiang?"
