Chapter 154 Blood

"Your Majesty, the person has been brought here." The guard brought Jiang Bai over and then left.

Only Jiang Bai and Li Kejun remained in the room. Li Kejun had her back to her, seemingly lost in thought.

Jiang Bai tentatively called out to him, "Your Majesty."

Li Kejun did not turn around, remaining indifferent: "Speak, what business do you have with me?"

"I'm sure Your Highness already knows the question I want to ask. Did you come to the inn to find me because of my appearance?"

Li Kejun slowly turned around, holding a strangely shaped piece of black jade in his hand. His face was solemn, and he looked somewhat dark.

"Not too stupid. Indeed, when you met me, you should have guessed something. You are related to my witch clan."

Jiang Bai didn't think this person would show mercy just because he looked like him, so he carefully explained his purpose: "I came to the Witch Clan to get rid of the poison in my body. I hope Your Highness will see that I have cooperated well and be able to get rid of the poison in my body?"

Li Kejun raised his thick, dark eyebrows slightly: "Alright, come with me."

Jiang Bai didn't expect him to agree so easily, and so he followed him to a wall in a daze.

The wall slowly opened a door, revealing a dark passageway inside.

Li Kejun went inside first, and Jiang Bai hesitated for a moment before following.

The passage was rather long, and Jiang Bai tentatively spoke up: "My identity has been unknown since I was a child, but seeing Your Highness now, I feel inexplicably close to you."

Li Kejun paused, then said coldly, "You don't need to be friendly. Getting close to me will not end well."

Jiang Bai's heart skipped a beat. Oh well, he'd really made a fool of himself.

The two soon arrived at a secret room. There were many shelves around the room, with books and bottles and jars on them. In the very center of the room was a small platform.

Li Kejun walked to the edge of the platform, turned around and waved to Jiang Bai in a commanding manner: "Come here."

Jiang Bai dared not disobey and stepped over. As soon as she did, Li Kejun grabbed her hand, and before she could react, her hand was cut.

"What are you doing?!" Jiang Bai watched as he dripped her blood into a sphere on the central platform.

The ball has a hollow center, allowing you to see what's inside.

Li Kejun then reached out and dripped a drop of blood into the sphere. Jiang Bai watched in astonishment as their blood mingled. Just then, she heard a crisp sound and something opened.

She turned her head and saw Li Kejun smiling.

His features were already imposing, and when he chuckled softly, there was a strange, sinister, and triumphant air about him.

Jiang Bai suddenly realized that this person had probably achieved his goal of capturing him.

Her expression turned cold: "Now that Your Highness has achieved your goal, can you let us leave?"

Li Kejun turned his head to look at her, a hint of ruthlessness in his smile: "Do you think that's possible?"

Jiang Bai took two steps back and turned to leave, but he attacked her with a palm strike. After a few rounds of fighting, she was knocked unconscious by his palm.

Zhao Yi waited for Jiang Bai in the room for a long time, but she didn't come back.

He immediately thought of that time at the herbal medicine shop; he shouldn't have let her leave alone.

Worried that something might happen to Jiang Bai, he hurriedly went out the door. There were guards outside, and when they saw Zhao Yi come out, they immediately stopped him: "What are you doing?"

"Get out of the way!" These people didn't have Li Kejun's martial arts skills and couldn't stop Zhao Yi at all. He ignored everything and made his way to Li Kejun's palace.

Li Kejun sat alone in the hall, looking relaxed.

When he saw Zhao Yi, he actually smiled slightly.

"Don't you feel anything wrong with your body right now?"

Zhao Yi stood in the courtyard, looking at him with a cold expression and a murderous tone: "Where is Jiang Bai?"

Li Kejun slowly rose to his feet and reached the palace entrance: "Hahahaha, do you think you have the right to question me?"

After he finished speaking, Zhao Yi felt his body begin to go weak and he suddenly felt powerless.

How could that be?

Before he could finish speaking, he slowly collapsed.

"Lock him in the dungeon."

Li Kejun's smile vanished, and he turned and entered the hall indifferently.

Zhao Yi watched as he was carried into the dimly lit dungeon. He painstakingly examined his body and finally discovered that there seemed to be worms wriggling under his skin.

They had silently placed a Gu worm on him, which left him feeling weak all over.

Jiang Bai is now nowhere to be found, but he is trapped here unable to move. He gritted his teeth, his eyes were bloodshot, and his expression was terrifying.

Jiang Bai was unaware of his current situation. When she woke up, she found herself lying in a luxuriously decorated room, the style of which was very similar to that of Li Kejun.

"Your Holiness, you're awake?" A female voice came from the side.

Jiang Bai turned her head and saw a young witch woman. She was angry and didn't notice the woman's address.

"Where is Li Ke-kun?"

Jiang Bai looked at her expressionlessly and asked about Li Kejun's whereabouts.

Before the young woman could answer, Li Kejun's voice came from outside the door: "You woke up and all you knew was to look for me?"

Li Kejun pushed open the door and entered, his face full of smiles, completely different from his previous appearance.

Jiang Bai found his smile extremely offensive; she still remembered how he had schemed against her before.

"What business do you have with me?" Li Kejun sat down opposite her, smiling kindly.

Jiang Bai was very uncomfortable: "I didn't look for you, I'm going back now."

She threw off the covers and got out of bed; she wanted to find Zhao Yi and didn't want to see this person.

Li Kejun reached out to stop her: "Aren't you curious about your own identity now?"

Jiang Bai glanced at him: "Would you tell me just because I'm curious?"

"Of course, please sit back down first."

He readily agreed and gestured for Jiang Bai to sit back down.

Jiang Bai was skeptical, and it took him a long time to sit back down.

Li Kejun then slowly explained: "You were originally a holy maiden of my Witch Clan. You were tricked by villains when you were young and ended up living in exile. Because you have the blood of the Witch Clan, you were able to pass through the Poisonous Forest unharmed. What you had on you before was not poison at all, but Gu. The Gu you were infected with was a mother-child Gu. The Gu in your body was the child Gu, while the mother Gu was within the Witch Clan, which is why you felt much better."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Bai felt a jolt in his mind; she was actually a member of the Wu tribe.

"Then who are you to me?" she blurted out.

Li Kejun was taken aback for a moment, then replied with a strange expression, "Brother, I am your brother."

Jiang Bai was somewhat distrustful of him. His actions towards her didn't seem like those of a family member; rather, it seemed like he had ulterior motives.

Where is Zhao Yi?

She still wants to find Zhao Yi first; she doesn't believe what Li Kejun said.

Li Kejun's smile slowly faded: "You care about him that much?"

Jiang Bai did not answer him and looked away.

Li Kejun sneered before slowly saying, "I've locked that person up. You want to save him?"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Bai was furious: "Despicable scoundrel!"

Li Kejun was unfazed by her words: "If you want to save him, you have to agree to my conditions."
