Jiang Bai's eyelids twitched. She turned her head to look at Li Kejun: "What right do you have to decide my life or death?"
This person is far too self-centered and domineering. Li Kejun stopped talking to her about this issue and instead waved his hand at Zhao Yi: "You may leave. I have some things to discuss with the Holy Maiden."
Zhao Yi's face turned ashen when he saw him pointing and gesturing at him: "Don't even think about it!"
Li Kejun: "You don't want the antidote anymore?"
Jiang Bai immediately grabbed Zhao Yi's hand and pulled him out: "You leave first, come back in later."
"We can't be careless about the antidote. A true man can bend and stretch. If we're going to get out, we're going to get out."
Jiang Bai comforted him for a while, then went back to his room and put on a stern face towards Li Kejun: "Speak, what is it?"
Li Kejun first handed her the antidote and emphasized, "As I said, I am a man of my word. This is the medicine that can cure the Gu poison in Zhao Yi's body."
Jiang Bai took the medicine, somewhat surprised and delighted; Zhao Yi's curse could be cured!
Li Kejun saw that she couldn't hide the smile on her face, but that smile wasn't for him, but for another man.
"Aren't you still curious about the Gu poison in your body? Tomorrow, I will take you to see someone, and then you will know."
Jiang Bai was taken aback when he saw that he had other plans, and then asked him, "Do you have other schemes up your sleeve?"
She knew his intentions towards her were not simple, but she couldn't guess the specifics.
Li Kejun shook his head: "You don't need to know so much. Everything will be clear tomorrow."
After he finished speaking, he turned and left.
Zhao Yi lay prone by the corner of the wall outside the house, eavesdropping on the conversation inside.
He was really worried about Jiang Bai being alone with him any longer, so he decided to keep a closer eye on him himself.
The two were baffled by Jinli Kejun's behavior and decided to meet him another day to discuss it further.
Jiang Bai urged Zhao Yi to take the medicine, and then breathed a sigh of relief.
"Be careful from now on. The witch clan's use of Gu is mysterious and unpredictable, making it really hard to guard against."
"Yes, you be careful too."
The next day, Li Kejun sent someone over early in the morning to take Jiang Bai there.
Jiang Bai followed the man to a secluded house, where Li Kejun was already waiting.
When he saw Jiang Bai arrive, his expression immediately softened: "You've arrived?"
Jiang Bai didn't reply to him, but just quietly looked at the scenery around him.
He wasn't annoyed and went inside first.
It was a rather dilapidated courtyard, with weeds growing in a mess, indicating that the person who was cleaning it hadn't done a good job, and the house itself looked run-down.
Everyone else waited outside the courtyard and did not come in.
Upon seeing this, Jiang Bai immediately became more vigilant.
This courtyard really doesn't look like a place where anyone lives. It's hard to say that Li Kejun might be using this opportunity to attack her.
"Why did you bring me here? This place doesn't look like anyone lives here."
Jiang Bai glanced around. There was only one house in the courtyard, and the other three sides were walls. It seemed that someone had deliberately built the walls to surround the house.
Li Kejun didn't reply to her; she just walked into the house.
Suddenly, a gentle breeze blew by, and grass brushed against their waists.
Jiang Bai was taken aback when someone suddenly pounced out of the grass beside him and tackled him squarely.
Who is this person? She didn't even notice!
The woman reeked of a foul stench, her hair disheveled over her face. She pinned Jiang Bai down and began to laugh maniacally.
Jiang Bai wanted to push her away, but when he saw her face peeking out from her long hair, he stopped in his tracks.
Although her face was dirty, it was still vaguely recognizable, and she looked somewhat like her.
"Who are you?"
Because of Li Kejun, she had become exceptionally familiar with faces lately, and at first glance, this disheveled woman looked remarkably like her.
Li Kejun looked at the woman who suddenly rushed out without any surprise.
"This is the person I brought you to meet. Does she look familiar?"
The woman was also observing Jiang Bai. She stared at her intently, then suddenly stopped moving and screamed, "Ah!!"
She suddenly wrapped her arms around Jiang Bai's neck and started yelling incessantly, but she didn't say a word, just kept yelling.
Jiang Bai was struggling to breathe from the woman's choking, but she didn't try to push her away. She just glanced at Li Kejun and tentatively asked, "She...she...is my mother?"
Seeing that the woman had begun to go mad, Li Kejun frowned and reached out to pull her away.
"It's impressive that you can call a madwoman 'mother'."
He shoved the woman away, then shook his hand, his eyes cold.
Jiang Bai then got up from the ground. She looked at the woman not far away, somewhat incredulous.
Because of Li Kejun's gaze, the woman dared not approach any further, but slowly retreated and hid in the bushes again.
Jiang Bai belatedly realized: "If she is my mother, then she is also your mother. How could you treat her like this!"
She looked around, but the woman had vanished again.
Li Kejun stood with his hands behind his back in the middle of the courtyard, looking at the sky filled with red clouds in the distance, his brows furrowed with frost: "Mother? She is not my mother."
"The culprit behind all this is not me, but your father. If it weren't for him, none of this would have happened."
"I am not their biological son. They took me in but did not treat me well. I have always thought that I must become the king of this witch clan and make them regret it a thousand times over, and make them suffer terribly!"
Jiang Bai felt a chill run through her body. Sure enough, the person in front of her was not her brother.
He was filled with hatred; he had imprisoned her mother here, and her father…
"Did you kill my father?!"
Li Kejun turned to look at her, his eyes filled with complex emotions. After a long while, he slowly said, "No."
"I won't believe you." Jiang Bai gritted his teeth.
"Whatever you want." Li Kejun turned around and took two steps in her direction.
"The 'mother-child Gu' curse is in your body. The child Gu is inside you, while the mother Gu is inside this woman. If you want to be freed from this curse, you have two options: either beg me to remove the Gu from your body, or kill this woman."
He pointed to the surrounding bushes, and a smile suddenly appeared on his face.
Jiang Bai clenched her fists. How could she lay a hand on her mother? If she wanted to remove the curse, she could only ask Li Kejun for help.
What are your conditions?
"It's simple, marry me."
"Don't even think about it!" Jiang Bai glared at him angrily. This man was truly delusional!
"I am already married to Zhao Yi and am already someone else's wife. How can I marry you again!"
Her face was flushed with anger, and the fury in her eyes seemed to burn the person in front of her alive.
Li Kejun narrowed his eyes and said slowly, "That's simple. Putting aside the fact that you got married outside and it has nothing to do with my Wu clan, besides, another man's wife? As long as Zhao Yi is killed, you will be a widow, and it will be reasonable for me to remarry. What do you think? Hmm?"
Jiang Bai felt as if he had been doused with a bucket of cold water: "No way!"
