Sword of Chaos!

Sword of Chaos!

The moon hung high in the sky, its cool light filtering through the branches and leaves, casting dappled shadows in the forest clearing.

A white figure stood silently under the moonlight, tall and slender, his robes fluttering slightly in the night breeze. He was gazing up at the bright moon, his profile particularly clear in the moonlight, yet also exuding an unapproachable aloofness.

The red figure appeared silently like a ghost, landing a few steps behind him. Honglian knelt on one knee, bowing her head respectfully, and said, "My lord."

"Did you run into those people from Cangmin Mountain?" The man didn't turn around; his voice was clear and melodious, carrying a hint of barely perceptible coldness.

"Yes," Honglian replied. "They have detected the existence of the Heart Array and are now splitting into two groups to break through it from all sides."

"Lin Huaiyu, are you still following that Yun Qian?" The man slowly turned around, the moonlight illuminating his face. It was a face that could outshine the moon, so exquisite that it was indistinguishable from a male to a female. Even Honglian paled in comparison to him.

"Yes, we're inseparable." Honglian replied, bowing her head, not daring to look directly into his overly intimidating eyes. "Their cultivation levels are very high, and I dare not follow them rashly. However, according to intelligence reports from the front, they have already broken through several mental formations."

"Hmph." The man let out a soft snort, a mocking smile curving his lips. "They're certainly quite idle, aren't they? They really have the leisure to go and get their needles broken one by one."

Honglian lowered her head even further: "More than three hundred mental arrays, enough to keep them occupied for half a year..."

"Six months?" The man's eyes narrowed, his icy gaze landing on Honglian as if it were a physical object. "Did I go to such lengths to set up these formations so they could break them one by one and use them as practice?"

"Of course not! My lord, please calm down!" Honglian's heart trembled, and she immediately bowed her head. "It was my incompetence that prevented me from stopping them. Lin Huaiyu stayed by Yun Qian's side the whole time, and I... couldn't even find a chance to make a move."

The man's handsome brows furrowed, and obvious impatience and hostility appeared on his face: "He certainly knows how to annoy me."

"Since that's the case, don't blame me for not showing any consideration for our past relationship."

Upon hearing this, Honglian cautiously raised her head: "Does Your Majesty already have a good plan to deal with him? However... Lin Huaiyu has inherited the power of the Nine-Tailed God Clan after all. If we clash with him head-on, I'm afraid we'll both suffer heavy losses..."

"Honglian." The man slowly crouched down, meeting Honglian's gaze as she knelt. His deep eyes seemed to hold whirlpools, capable of sucking in one's soul. He extended a finger, gently lifting Honglian's chin, forcing her to look at him. "Do you think I'd be foolish enough to confront him head-on?"

His voice was deep and seductive: "A hundred years ago, I planted a spirit-sealing talisman on him. Once activated, no matter what divine power he inherited, his spiritual power will be sealed in an instant, making him no different from an ordinary person."

Honglian was captivated by the eerie light flashing in his eyes. Her heart pounded like a drum, and she hurriedly looked away, whispering, "My lord... is wise."

“Since he insists on meddling in other people’s business.” The man stood up, his hands behind his back, the moonlight casting a long shadow behind him, exuding a chilling aura. “Then I’ll let him taste what it means to plan before you act.”

"Yes." Honglian responded, then remembered something else and reported, "There's another matter... During the Immortal Sect Competition, Yun Qian always used a wooden sword. But this time underground, she took out a long sword that was completely black and exuded an ominous aura."

"The Black Sword?" The man raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of interest flashing in his eyes. He extended his index finger, a wisp of red light swirling around its tip, and gently touched Honglian's brow.

A flash of red light disappeared in an instant, and the man had completely read the fragments of memory about the black sword in Honglian's mind. When the image of the black longsword, wreathed in chaotic energy, clearly appeared in his mind, the man's face turned extremely ugly.

"It's actually the Sword of Chaos." He slowly withdrew his hand, his voice filled with disbelief and solemnity.

Honglian noticed his unusual behavior and cautiously asked, "Does Master recognize this sword? Is it... very powerful?"

"It's more than just powerful." The man's tone was cold. "Everyone in the Three Realms knows the might of the Divine Sword Sutian, but few know of the existence of this Chaos Sword. This sword was born at the beginning of the world, guarding the Chaos Realm, absorbing the purest and most primordial chaotic energy. Over time, it has become sentient and can choose its own master. Only those whose cultivation and talent have reached their peak have the opportunity to step into the Chaos Realm and see the true form of this sword."

"Such a peerless weapon should belong to our lord!" A greedy glint flashed in Honglian's eyes. "Why doesn't our lord kill Yun Qian and seize this sword?"

“A futile effort.” The man shook his head, his eyes sinister. “The sword spirit of the Chaos Sword is immortal and indestructible. Once it recognizes a master, it will stay with him until death. Even if you kill Yun Qian, the sword spirit will fall into silence and will no longer recognize him as its master.”

He abruptly changed the subject, his eyes flashing with murderous intent: "However, even Lin Huaiyu and I couldn't enter that Chaotic Realm back then. This girl's talent is terrifyingly powerful. If we allow her to continue growing, she will surely become a major threat in the future! We must eliminate her as soon as possible!"

A genius capable of entering the Chaos Realm must be completely eliminated before they can be used by the authorities! Otherwise, it will hinder their ascension plan.

"Tomorrow, I will activate the spirit-sealing talisman within Lin Huaiyu's body." A sinister and cold smile appeared on the man's face. "Go and test him. If you can take the opportunity to kill Yun Qian, that would be best. If you can't..."

He paused, his tone becoming meaningful: "We need to find a way to leak the news that Lin Huaiyu has lost all his spiritual power to Sili. That fool will definitely be happy to help me clear the way."

With Si Li's current cultivation level, dealing with Yun Qian, who has lost Lin Huaiyu's protection, should be more than enough. In this way, he can remain hidden behind the scenes and not expose himself too early.

Honglian understood immediately and bowed her head again: "Your Majesty is wise, your subordinate obeys."

The moonlight, still cold and clear, fell upon the forest, making the white figure appear even more solitary and forlorn, and quietly concealing the conspiracy and murderous intent lurking in his eyes beneath the tranquil night.
