You shameless!

You shameless!

"Where's the symbiotic symbol?!"

"I'm asking you! Lin Huaiyu, where did my symbiotic talisman go?!" Zhihua stood on the stone table in the courtyard, his hair standing on end, his eyes filled with anger, and he loudly questioned Lin Huaiyu, who was standing quietly to the side.

"It's off." Lin Huaiyu didn't even lift his eyelids, his tone flat and emotionless. "Aren't you most afraid of death? Removing the symbiotic talisman, isn't that just what you wanted?"

"Who said I'm afraid of death?!" Zhihua slammed its tail on the table in anger, making a loud thud. "That's a talisman on me! Why were you removed without my permission?!"

When it woke up, it realized that the mark in its body that was connected to Yun Qian's life had disappeared.

That was originally a talisman that Yun Qian had set up to restrain it, but now that Yun Qian had quietly and unilaterally dispelled it, it set off alarm bells in Zhi Hua's heart, and a strong sense of unease welled up in his heart. Zhi Hua was worried that Yun Qian was going to do something extremely dangerous.

What's more, it's been two whole days and it hasn't even caught a glimpse of Yun Qian!

Bai Chuan and Qin Wu have already entered Cangmin Mountain. They said that Cangmin Mountain is protected by a mountain-protecting spirit array, and non-disciples are not allowed to enter. So they settled him and Lin Huaiyu in the small courtyard outside Cangmin Mountain that Bai Chuan used to grow medicinal herbs.

With each passing moment without seeing Yun Qian, Zhihua's anxiety intensified.

Lin Huaiyu was annoyed by its noise, so she raised her hand and threw a silencing talisman at it.

The world instantly became quiet, leaving only Zhihua staring wide-eyed, his fur standing on end in anger, yet unable to utter a sound, only furiously scratching at the stone table with his claws.

Lin Huaiyu's heart was also in turmoil. He was worried about Yun Qian, worried that she was going to risk her life alone. He even cast a divination, and although the divination showed that there was no immediate danger to her life, the lingering unease did not diminish in the slightest.

Just then, a soft golden light flashed, and the silencing talisman that had been placed on Zhihua was instantly dispelled!

At the same time, Yun Qian's figure appeared in the courtyard like sunlight piercing through the morning mist.

"Yun Qian!" Zhi Hua exclaimed in surprise, his round cat eyes lighting up instantly, and he kicked off with his hind legs, ready to pounce into her arms.

However, another figure was even faster!

Almost the instant Yun Qian's figure solidified, Lin Huaiyu had already rushed to her side like a gust of wind, opening his arms without saying a word and tightly embracing her.

His movements were so fast they stirred up a breeze, carrying an eagerness as if something had been lost and then regained.

Lin Huaiyu buried his face in Yun Qian's neck, his nose keenly catching a faint trace of demonic energy. His eyes darkened slightly, but he asked nothing, only tightening his arms around her, as if only by touching her could he confirm her true existence.

Yun Qian was slightly taken aback by his sudden hug, but then relaxed, a helpless smile curving her lips. She raised her hand and gently patted his back, her voice carrying a hint of puzzled amusement: "What's wrong?"

Lin Huaiyu did not answer, but simply maintained the embrace, silently feeling her presence with his body heat.

Zhihua, left standing to the side, was displeased. It jumped to the ground, extended its claws with sharp hooks, and unceremoniously hooked the hem of Lin Huaiyu's light blue outer robe, pulling hard. "You! Get away! Let her go!"

Lin Huaiyu acted as if she hadn't heard him.

Seeing the fine fabric making a soft tearing sound under the cat's paws, and the tear growing larger, Yun Qian gently pushed Lin Huaiyu's chest, then bent down and picked up the sulking Zhihua.

"Tch." Zhihua nestled in Yun Qian's arms, letting out a disdainful snort, its previous aggressive behavior instantly vanishing. Its fluffy little head rubbed against Yun Qian's arm affectionately, its tone softening considerably, filled with obvious worry, "The symbiotic talisman... what happened?"

Yun Qian gently stroked its warm fur. When she nearly lost her life at Si Li's hands last time, she thought of Zhi Hua. At their first encounter, she found its behavior suspicious and, just to be safe, planted a symbiotic talisman to restrain it. But when truly facing a death threat, she couldn't bear to implicate the cat.

But the real plan concerning the future of Cangmin Mountain cannot be revealed at this moment.

Yun Qian's mind raced, and she casually made up a reason: "I just felt that the symbiotic talisman might restrict your use of spiritual power, so it would be more convenient to remove it."

“It doesn’t cause any delay at all!” Zhihua immediately retorted, tilting her small face up to look at her, her pupils filled with confusion. “That symbiotic symbol doesn’t bother me at all, so why did you go to the trouble of removing it?”

Yun Qian chuckled softly, her mind racing as she tried to come up with a more reasonable excuse to get rid of the cat. Lin Huaiyu, who had been ignored, spoke up impatiently, "If you've already done it, why are you asking so many questions? You're just a cat, why are you being so noisy and meddlesome?"

As he spoke, he stretched out his long arm and, without saying a word, pulled Zhihua out of Yunqian's warm embrace, then casually placed her on the stone table next to him.

Zhihua landed lightly on its four paws, instantly bristling with fur, and turned to unleash a barrage of insults at Lin Huaiyu: "Lin Huaiyu! You shameless bastard!"

“I can be even more shameless.” Lin Huaiyu raised an eyebrow, a wicked smile flashing in his eyes. He raised his hand and snapped his fingers crisply.

The next moment, a pure white spherical barrier emitting a soft halo appeared out of thin air, like a giant bubble, instantly enveloping Zhihua who was standing on the stone table!

The inside and outside of the barrier seemed to be two different worlds. Inside, Zhihua paced anxiously, stamping her feet, her pink paws slapping against the light wall, but she could neither hear nor see any movement outside.

"What are you doing?" Yun Qian looked at the barrier that completely isolated Zhihua and subconsciously wanted to go forward and remove it.

However, Lin Huaiyu grabbed her wrist. Then, a gentle yet irresistible force wrapped around her waist, pulling her into his arms.

As the shadows fell, warm lips, carrying a hint of urgency, precisely covered hers.

The moment their lips met, Yun Qian could clearly feel the burning heat beneath his cool lips. His kiss wasn't gentle; it carried an urgent confirmation as he pried open her teeth, penetrating deeply and entwining them.

The air seemed to thicken, and all the surrounding sounds faded away, leaving only their increasingly disordered breathing and the pounding of their hearts.

Yun Qian was initially a little stiff, but under Lin Huaiyu's undeniable offensive, her body gradually relaxed, and her hands unconsciously climbed onto his shoulders, responding to the sudden kiss with a mix of awkwardness and indulgence.

After a long while, until her lungs were almost empty, Yun Qian turned her head, breathing rapidly. She tightened her grip on Lin Huaiyu's shoulder slightly, trying to push him away. "You..."

Before she could finish speaking, Lin Huaiyu kissed her again. This time, his movements were slower, but his kiss was filled with a deeper tenderness and possessiveness, as if he wanted to convey all the worry and anxiety he had felt during their two days of separation to her through this kiss.

Yun Qian's hand, which had initially been pushing him away, gradually lost its strength and instead gripped the fabric on his shoulder tightly.

After what seemed like an eternity, when the long kiss finally ended, both of them were breathing unsteadily. Lin Huaiyu's forehead gently rested against Yun Qian's, their noses touching, sharing each other's hot breath.

At this extremely close distance, Yun Qian could clearly see that Lin Huaiyu's stunningly beautiful eyes were now completely reflecting only her own image, filled with lingering emotions and a deeper feeling.

His breathing gradually returned to normal.

Lin Huaiyu suddenly spoke, her voice slightly hoarse from the kiss: "You can do whatever you want."

He paused, his hands cupping her cheeks tightened slightly, and he looked calmly into her eyes, saying in an almost pleading tone, "But, could you tell me?"

Yun Qian's recent unusual behavior replayed and connected in Lin Huaiyu's mind again and again, ultimately pointing to a conclusion he didn't want to think about, yet which was all too clear to him.

She was planning something extremely dangerous. The price would be serious injury or death.

This is the path she chose for herself.

This time, Lin Huaiyu didn't fully understand Yun Qian's thoughts, but based on his intuition and understanding of her, he had already glimpsed the worst-case scenario. He desperately wanted to know her entire plan and wanted to do his best to protect her before she embarked on that path, even if it meant sharing the slightest bit of risk with her.

Yun Qian pulled down his hand that was cupping her cheek, slightly increasing the distance between them to avoid his all-seeing gaze. She lowered her eyes, remained silent for a moment, and when she looked up again, her eyes were calm.

“I want,” she uttered clearly, “to advance to the Mahayana stage.”

"At this moment?" Lin Huaiyu's brows furrowed instantly, his face full of disapproval. "The damage you suffered from withstanding the heavenly lightning last time has not yet healed, and your inner energy is still weak. If you forcefully attempt to break through to the Mahayana stage now, what if you attract a heavenly tribulation..." He took a deep breath, his tone heavy, "That would be a nine-out-of-ten chance of death."

Although he didn't know that Yun Qian's previous advancements had always attracted heavenly lightning, Lin Huaiyu knew that reaching the Great Ascension stage at the age of one hundred was a rare and exceptional talent. And the advancement of geniuses was often accompanied by tests from the Heavenly Dao, making the attraction of heavenly lightning a highly probable event, just as Qin Wu had done before.

"That's too risky," Lin Huaiyu said firmly.

Yun Qian simply smiled lightly, the mysterious golden mark between her brows flashing by so quickly it was almost an illusion. "I told you before that the protective spirit array of Cangmin Mountain can disperse some of the power of the heavenly tribulation." Her tone sounded relaxed, as if she were talking about a trivial matter. "So, while advancing at this moment is certainly risky, it won't necessarily lead to death."

"If I can't get promoted," Yun Qian paused, "then I really will die."

Neither Sili and the others, nor Yue Sheng, would easily let Cangmin Mountain go. She would only have the power to contend with it if she advanced to the Mahayana stage.

Lin Huaiyu pursed his thin lips and didn't utter a word in rebuttal. He simply stared intently at Yun Qian, trying to find even the slightest flaw or concealment beneath her calm expression.

While Yun Qian's actions could certainly be explained as risky, the lingering unease in his heart, along with the faint demonic aura emanating from her, made him feel that things were far more complicated than she described.
