Chapter 42 I Won't Let You Go

The next morning, Lin Yitang opened his eyes and found a handsome face close to him. At first he didn't react and didn't move.

Wen Zeli woke up the moment she woke up. He looked at Lin Yitang's dazed expression, and a laugh shook his chest. He reached out and rubbed the hair of the person in his arms, saying, "Good morning."

Lin Yitang woke up with a start at the familiar voice. Realizing his current position, he hurriedly pulled out of Wen Zeli's arms and blurted out, "What are you doing?"

Wen Zeli raised his hands and said, "Madam came here by herself last night. Although I wanted to get close to you, I really didn't do anything."

As Wen Zeli spoke, there seemed to be a look of regret between his eyebrows.

Lin Yitang wanted to get angry at this person but couldn't find a reason.

She didn't say anything and got up to wash up. Wen Zeli looked at her angry look and shook his head. She was quite angry, so he decided not to tease her too much in the future.

To put it nicely, Lin Yitang's personality is to go with the flow. To put it bluntly, he is too lazy to move and is like a salted fish.

She had clearly found a comfortable pattern in the Wen family and was enjoying it. But Wen Zeli's overtures to her were like a stone dropped into a calm surface, stirring up a thousand waves. This forced Lin Yitang to re-explore other ways of living and getting along.

Lin Yitong was a little annoyed with Wen Zeli, so he hadn't spoken to Wen Zeli since he got up. Wen Zeli looked at the kitten showing its sharp claws towards him viciously, and said nothing.

Thus, the two of them presented a seemingly alienated but actually harmonious atmosphere. Lin Yitang and Wen Zeli went downstairs one after the other. The housekeeper wanted to understand the situation of the two, but as soon as he saw Lin Yitang's face, he quickly turned around and muttered to himself as he walked: "Why isn't breakfast ready yet? I'll go to the kitchen."

Lin Yitang: “…” That’s too much. Don’t think I didn’t notice your abrupt transition.

The two ate in silence, Lin Yitang cold and icy, while Wen Zeli smiled, his face more relaxed than ever. The servants watching over them sensed the strange atmosphere and lowered their heads like quails, not daring to speak.

Lin Yitong finished her meal quickly and was about to leave without saying a word. She was sitting by the window and had to pass by Wen Zeli when leaving.

Just when Lin Yitang was about to walk past Wen Zeli, Wen Zeli suddenly stood up slightly, stretched out his long arm, and caught Lin Yitang off guard, he was pulled into his warm arms and sat on his lap.

Four or five servants stood by the dining table. Lin Yitang's cheeks flushed slightly, and she whispered in embarrassment, "Let me go."

Wen Zeli's face was cold, and he uttered two words slowly and leisurely: "Don't let go."

Lin Yitang was about to struggle when Wen Zeli tightly gripped her slender hands and pressed her into his arms. "Tangtang, you never had a chance to choose, understand? I pursued you just hoping you could adapt. But whether you agree or not, the result will not change. I will not let you go."

Lin Yitang felt cold all over, staring at Wen Zeli with disbelief in his eyes. In Wen Zeli's extremely aggressive gaze, Lin Yitang knew clearly that he was not joking with her.

She finally understood why the system's data showed Wen Zeli's danger level as unknown. It was because he was so dark that even the system couldn't detect his danger. This was terrifying. What was even more terrifying was that she was being targeted by him.

"Okay, Tangtang, go and do what you need to do, and come back early in the evening." Wen Zeli smiled gently again, as if everything that happened just now was Lin Yitong's illusion.

He let go of Lin Yitang's hand, patted her back gently like coaxing a child, and said, "Don't be angry anymore, I will feel bad."

Lin Yitang stood up, and Wen Zeli followed her gaze. When he touched her slightly red wrist, his eyes darkened.

Lin Yitong sat in the car, thinking about what Wen Zeli had just said, and his mood was complicated and changeable.

The two assistants looked at their boss's surprised expression and kept silent with their heads down. It was not that they did not care about Lin Yitang, but that Lin Yitang was obviously worried about the things in the manor. They also had to abide by the sense of boundaries and could not do such behavior of prying into the privacy of the manor.

Lin Yitang was meeting Bai Wanyi, a teacher Ye Luoshu had strongly recommended. Bai Wanyi was a classical dancer who had won numerous awards both domestically and internationally, and a highly influential figure in the dance world. Lin Yitang understood that the Wen family's financial and influence were the reason she was able to mentor such a relatively unknown figure.

As soon as he arrived, Lin Yitang calmed himself down and put his worries aside.

Lin Yitang walked across the corridor and met this legendary teacher. He was probably in his fifties, with gray hair, but he was very delicate and organized.

She raised her eyebrows and looked at her critically, her face serious and her voice tinged with sarcasm: "You have a nice figure, but I don't know how you can handle pressure. Madam Wen, I have to remind you that there is no privilege here, so if you really can't hold on, please find another job."

Xiao Zhong was about to step forward after hearing her rude words, but was stopped by Lin Yitang's eyes. She said, "Teacher Bai, I believe in my perseverance. You don't have to worry. If I really can't hold on, I will leave on my own."

Lin Yitang's words turned the passive into active, meaning that even if I can't hold on, I will leave on my own, and you have no right to ask me not to leave.

"You!" Bai Wanyi stared at her angrily, her dignity shattered as she said, "Mrs. Wen is truly full of arrogance. Little does she know that in the dance world, one must learn humility."
