Chapter 76 Caught

Lin Yitang went upstairs. The second floor was completely silent. Even the servants who usually cleaned the house were nowhere to be seen.

Wen Hangxing was lying on the bed playing games at this time. He was expressly forbidden by Lin Yitang from any activities and had to lie in bed and rest, but he was really bored and had nothing to do, so he took out his mobile phone and opened the game. Just as he was getting into the mood, there was a knock on the door.

"Who?" Wen Hangxing reflexively put down his phone and looked at the door vigilantly.

"Me." Lin Yitang's voice sounded at the door, startling Wen Hangxing so much that he almost jumped up. He tried to hide his phone in a panic, and his eyes kept glancing at the door, fearing that Lin Yitang would suddenly open the door and come in.

Lin Yitang only heard a burst of crackling sounds coming from the room. After a moment, everything returned to silence. Wen Hangxing's voice was a little hoarse, "Come in."

Lin Yitang opened the door and glanced around. Not finding anything unusual, she turned her gaze back to Wen Hangxing. A look of suspicion filled her face. "What were you doing just now?"

"Me?" Wen Hangxing tried hard to suppress his inner tension and said calmly, "Nothing happened. I just didn't use enough strength when I stood up, and I knocked something down."

Lin Yitang looked at the perfectly smooth carpet without any marks on it, and looked at him with an indescribable gaze, "Really?"

Wen Hangxing followed her gaze, cursed inwardly but still didn't let go, "Yeah, what else do you think I'm doing?" He guessed that Lin Yitong might feel something was wrong, but had no evidence, so he looked at her seriously.

Just as he thought, although Lin Yitong had some doubts, she had no evidence, so she decided to let it go.

Wen Hangxing breathed a sigh of relief when he saw this, and his tone relaxed, "What do you want from me?"

Lin Yitang suddenly asked: "You didn't drink water today?"

Wen Hangxing's body stiffened. He looked at the still full kettle and closed his eyes resignedly. He secretly regretted why he had forgotten about this matter. It was a mistake.

Facing Lin Yitang's oppressive gaze, Young Master Wen, who was always so arrogant in front of outsiders, said weakly: "I forgot a little."

"I specifically told Uncle Liu to put a pot of water on the table for you so you can drink it when you are thirsty. But you still keep the pot full. Even with your throat so hoarse, you refuse to drink some water. You are turning a deaf ear to my words, aren't you?" Lin Yitong's face was filled with anger and his tone was serious.

This was the first time Wen Hangxing had seen Lin Yitang give him the cold shoulder. It was also the first time Young Master Wen had been rendered speechless by someone other than his father. If it had been anyone else, they would have died a thousand times over. But facing Lin Yitang, Wen Hangxing could only humble himself and say, "I get it. Don't be angry. I'll drink right away."

As he spoke, he turned sideways to grab the kettle on the bedside table. When he stood up, a block-like object fell off the bed. He stretched out his hand and quickly turned to pick up the object, but someone was one step faster than him.

Lin Yitang squatted down and picked up the phone. She held the thin but still warm phone between her two beautiful fingers and said with a smile: "If I remember correctly, I explicitly forbade you to play with your phone today, just to let you close your eyes and rest."

Wen Hangxing laughed awkwardly twice, but when he saw that Lin Yitang's expression hadn't relaxed, he had to suppress his smile and explain (quibble): "No, I didn't play. The heat might be from being in the bed all the time, so it's a bit hot."

Lin Yitang showed a "learned" expression, "So that's how it is. Young Master Wen's phone actually heats up so easily. This may cause the phone to lag. I'll ask Uncle Liu to buy you a new one."

Wen Hangxing felt a pang of pain, unable to speak. Thinking of Liu Bo's kind yet stubborn temper, he thought, "If he knew I hadn't obeyed today, he would definitely have to "look after" me all year long. The thought was painful. He smiled, but it looked more painful than crying. "No, no. Frugality is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. The descendants of the dragon should lead by example."

"It kind of rhymes. Well, since you insist, forget it." Lin Yitang said, but when Wen Hangxing looked up, he shook the phone in front of him.

"Unlocked successfully." A mechanical female voice sounded, like a thunderclap in the silent room, causing Wen Hangxing to sit up quickly and try to grab the phone.

"God of Glory?" Lin Yitang easily avoided him and read the four big words displayed on the mobile phone screen word by word.

Wen Hangxing looked like a sculpture built two years ago, or like a mummy that had been dried in the desert two years ago. His whole body was stiff, and it seemed as if he would make a "creaking" sound when the wind blew, and then fall straight down.

"Young Master Wen seems to be living a good life day by day." Lin Yitang said meaningfully.

Wen Hangxing lowered his head and didn't dare to look at her, trembling "..."

"How long have you been playing?" Lin Yitang threw the phone into his arms, no emotion in her voice.

"We didn't play for long, just three hours...that's all." Wen Hangxing said as he glanced at her.

Lin Yitang's delicate jaw showed a cold expression. She was not at all fooled by Wen Hangxing's pretending to be pitiful. Instead, she said ruthlessly: "Since Master Wen is so leisurely, then I will let the etiquette teacher come to give you lessons tomorrow."

"!!!Ah?" Wen Hangxing's thin lips, which were highly praised by the girls in school, opened slightly, revealing a silly look.

"This matter is settled. Put away your little thoughts and stop trying to soften my heart. I also have principles."

Wen Hangxing's heart was filled with tears, and he replied sullenly, "I understand."

"Xiao Sui said today that he was going home. From what I heard, it seemed that he wouldn't be coming back to live in the near future. When I asked him the reason, he was evasive. I always felt that something was wrong."

Wen Hangxing didn't seem surprised by Jiang Sui's decision. He replied, "He has his own arrangements. You don't have to worry."

"What arrangements? Tell me." Lin Yitang leaned close to him, her big, bright eyes shining.

Wen Hangxing was still holding a grudge against her for her previous arrangement. He pushed her away and said, "Didn't your husband tell you? Why are you asking me?"

Lin Yitang shook off the goose bumps on his body with a look of disgust, "Don't call him that, I can't stand it."

Wen Hangxing sighed inexplicably at her expression. He knew she hadn't grasped the reality of her father's current mission, which was both arduous and far-reaching. He felt a certain schadenfreude in his thoughts.

Lin Yitang watched his expression change back and forth, but he wouldn't tell her why. He patted his head and said dissatisfiedly, "He's not reliable at all. You won't learn from him, will you?"

Wen Hangxing was delighted when he heard this. This meant he was more reliable than his father. It was the first time he'd heard this, and he said with great joy, "I'll tell you, right now!"
