"I envy you, too."
Xu Duo smiled embarrassedly.
"I'm ready to check out. Do you want to buy this book?"
Ye Jiaying had just selected a few first edition books nearby. Her father liked to collect versions of famous works, and she would sometimes buy a few that she was interested in.
This bookstore happened to have the book she liked, so she bought it.
"Um."
Xu Duo nodded.
"Let's go and pay the bill together."
After Ye Jiaying finished speaking, she walked towards the cashier first.
Xu Duo also put down the sample book in his hand, picked up an unopened new book, and followed.
The two paid their bills separately at the checkout counter and walked out of the bookstore together.
