Chapter 92: Adding fuel to the fire

Joanna pushed her brother aside and changed her shoes at the door as if she knew the place well.

"Wife, Nana is here." Brother Joanna was also stunned when he saw his sister appear at the door. He quickly tightened his loose pajamas.

His head became a little clearer after being woken up, and he felt a chill underneath. He quickly ran into the house while calling his wife, passing Joanna.

Joanna was left there by her brother, feeling a little confused. She changed her shoes and walked in by herself.

The lobby on the first floor was quite tidy, but there were some clothes scattered on the floor as we went up the stairs.

Joanna tutted her words. Although her brother looked handsome with a cold face outside, he was actually a stinky man who threw his clothes around in private.

She didn't intend to care about the scattered clothes and wandered to the kitchen to find something to eat.

She usually goes home for breakfast, but now she is hungry.

On the dining table next to the kitchen, there was yesterday's meal, and on the table were two red wine glasses with some leftover wine in them.

Joanna passed by the dining table to get something from the refrigerator and tripped over a pair of slippers.

"Why did you leave your slippers here?"

Joanna muttered, kicked off her slippers, and went to open the refrigerator door.

"Why are you here so early? Drink some water first. I'll make you a sandwich later."

As soon as she opened the door, her brother ran down from upstairs in a panic.

"No wonder you come home so late, you lazy bums." Joanna looked at her brother's messy hair and the scratch on his neck that seemed to be caused by something, and said to him with disgust.

"If you dislike me, don't come to my house." Brother Qiao was not polite. He picked up the pair of women's slippers on the kitchen floor and walked upstairs again.

"Who wants to come? I'm here to see my sister-in-law, not you."

Joanna made faces at her brother's back.

She waited downstairs for a long time before she heard footsteps upstairs.

The clothes scattered on the stairs had been picked up, and a graceful woman with long hair walked down.

"Sister-in-law, you're up."

Qiao Na stood up happily from the sofa and greeted her sister-in-law, Lu Xueting.

"Well, why are you here? Why didn't you call me yesterday so I could make you something to eat."

Lu Xueting treats Qiao Na very well, and she also feels a little sorry for her sister-in-law who lost her mother when she was young.

"Sister-in-law, why is your throat hoarse? Drink some water." Qiao Na brought the warm water she had just poured to Lu Xueting.

"Ahem, a bit dry."

Lu Xueting's delicate little face turned slightly red, and she turned around and glared at Brother Qiao.

"It's just that the heating is too dry. I'll go prepare breakfast for you."

Brother Qiao touched his wife's back, helped her sit on the sofa, and got up to go to the kitchen.

"Ask Aunt Zhang to stew some rock sugar and snow pears later." Qiao Na continued. She looked around curiously and asked Lu Xueting.

"Sister-in-law, why isn't Aunt Zhang here? I've been knocking on the door for so long."

"Aunt Zhang, she has something to do at home and is not here today. Next time you come, call ahead and I will open the door for you."

Lu Xueting took a few more sips of water and answered.

"Okay, I'll tell you next time. I came here today because I have something to tell you."

Qiao Na nodded and moved closer to Lu Xueting.

"What's the matter? Did anyone bully you?"

Joanna's abnormal behavior made Lu Xueting feel something was wrong. She asked and pulled Joanna to take a closer look.

"No, it's not my fault, it's Sister Wenyu's fault."

Jonah quickly answered.

She told Lu Xueting everything about Zhu Xiaoling.

She didn't mention Zhu Xiaoling's name, only a classmate.

Jiang Tao exaggerated all those scumbag words.

That afternoon, Qiao Na was the one who was called in for questioning after Zhang Ying.

After that, she stayed outside the door, which was not closed tightly.

It should be said that they deliberately did not close the door tightly, so most of the conversation inside was heard at the door.

For those who didn't hear it all, there were also supplements from Zhang Ying, Ye Jiaying and others.

In order to get her to come back and complain, Ye Jiaying specifically told Qiao Na what she saw inside.

Including Jiang Tao's irritating look.

"Jiang Tao has a child with another woman? And she's a student at Peking University? How dare he!"

Lu Xueting's eyebrows raised when she heard this, and her voice became several degrees higher than usual.

Brother Qiao, who was cooking, heard it and came out quickly.

"What's wrong, wife? What happened?"

"It's none of your business. Go cook your meal." Lu Xueting was angry and had no time to deal with Brother Qiao, so she just sent him back.

This was the first time Brother Qiao was yelled at by his wife. He was stunned for a moment until Lu Xueting glared at him again, then he turned back to the kitchen.

"I thought Jiang Tao had become a better person after joining the army, but I didn't expect him to be so out of touch. He's even more out of touch than before. He used to just hang out with a bunch of girls, but now he has a child!"

"Sister-in-law, has he done this before?"

Seeing her sister-in-law's reaction, Qiao Na asked curiously.

"Why do you think he went to his uncle's house so obediently? It was because he was caught cuddling with a group of girls. His grandfather stuffed him in to prevent Wen Yu from breaking off the engagement."

Jonah's mouth opened wide, hearing this reason for the first time.

"Sister-in-law, if that's the case, will this be his first child?"

Qiao Na heard Zhang Ying talk about the wives in their village.

She said at the time that men would never repent. Even if they drove away one concubine, they would still have countless more.

"I'll call Wen Yu."

When Lu Xueting heard Qiao Na ask this, her face became even uglier. She sat there and thought for a while, then stood up to make a phone call.

"Wife, it's time to eat."

Brother Joe came out with sandwiches and boiled eggs and hot milk.

He had already cleared the leftovers from the table into the kitchen.

"My sister-in-law is calling Sister Wen Yu." Qiao Na strolled over to eat and said to Brother Qiao.

"What did you say to my wife? Why is she so angry?" Brother Qiao looked at his wife talking on the phone with her back to him and asked Qiao Na in a low voice.

"I won't tell you." Joanna made a face at her brother.

“The latest version of bags from abroad.”

Brother Qiao negotiated terms with her.

"Three."

Joanna held up three fingers.

"OK."

"You know Sister Wenyu's fiancé, Jiang Tao, right? He has a child with one of our classmates. My sister-in-law is calling Sister Wenyu to tell her about it."

Seeing that her brother was frank, Joanna didn't hide anything and said it directly.

Brother Qiao frowned.

"Are you sure the child is really Jiang Tao's?"

"Of course, the child definitely has it. The teacher arranged for that classmate to be alone. If it was fake, the teacher wouldn't be so nervous. Besides, that classmate isn't some socialite, so it couldn't be someone else's."

Brother Qiao thinks a lot. Although Qiao Na is not afraid of the Jiang family, she will be worried if they find out that the matter was leaked from them.

The Qiao family is not having an easy time either.

He looked at his silly sister and then at his wife whose head was about to smoke, and sighed helplessly.
