Yan Rushan simply sat down on the ground beside her and finished the food on the tray with her; the three plates on the tray were empty, and the children stretched their little heads to look at the tray, and when they saw that there was nothing in it, they reached out and hit it twice.
It means, it’s gone!
"You little bastard, if it's gone, it's gone. There's no point in beating it." After scolding his sons, Yan Rushan felt relieved and said to his wife, "Let's go downstairs. It's time for dinner now. Eat more later. I'll ask Feng Zheng to make your favorite food."
Zhong Yuxiu nodded, "Okay, I wonder what dishes are available?"
"I made braised bullfrog, braised pig's head, tail, and trotters, and mixed chicken feet. We have lemon chicken feet and pepper chicken feet. You should like them both." He then told her, "I asked Feng Zheng to stir-fry three vegetables and boil beef slices. We also made cold noodles, cold noodles, and jelly. You can have them as dessert after dinner."
Zhong Yuxiu felt that the cakes she had just eaten were no longer tasty. She picked up one of her sons and said, "Hurry up, we're already hungry."
"Okay, you go downstairs first." Yan Rushan put the tray aside and walked out with a child in one arm; the tray, plates and other things were matters for later.
After going downstairs, Zhong Yuxiu handed the child to Yan Guofeng and said, "Grandpa, please hold the child for a while. I'll go to the kitchen to check."
"Okay." Yan Guofeng put down the newspaper and took the child. Although the child was reluctant to let him hold him, he still looked at his mother's back obediently without crying.
Yan Rushan dragged the two children downstairs and threw them to Yan Guofeng; Li Ji and Li Ming came down later, but didn't see their mother. They went to hold their brother's hand, crying out, as if asking where their mother had gone.
"Mom will go see if there is anything delicious to eat. Just be good, and I will bring you food later." Yan Rushan caught a glimpse of her figure entering the kitchen.
"Mom, eat."
"I want my mother."
"Where's Mom?"
The little guys didn't buy it at all and ignored him. They turned around and asked Yan Guofeng, "Grandpa..."
"Mom, I want mom."
"Zu, find it."
Yan Guofeng didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Your mother will be back soon. You don't have to go looking for her."
"try to find!"
"Yes, find it!"
"Mother."
"Looking for it, Mom."
The little kids pouted their lips and pretended to burst into tears, which scared Yan Guofeng to death. "Okay, okay, go find your mom, okay? Don't cry, your eyes just got a little better and you're crying again."
"I want my mother."
These four words were clearly pronounced. Yan Rushan sighed, "Grandpa, please keep an eye on him. I'll go get my wife to come out and comfort him."
"Hurry up." Yan Guofeng had to look after them from both sides, but the key was that they were disobedient! They were moving around and trying to slide down the sofa; this made it more difficult for Yan Guofeng to keep watch.
Yan Rushan shook his head and turned to walk towards the kitchen. After entering, he saw his daughter-in-law circling the stove. He walked up to her and pulled her out, pointing at the three children who were making noises.
"Comfort her, or she'll start crying again."
Seeing this, Zhong Yuxiu no longer cared about Yan Rushan and hurried to the sofa where Yan Guofeng was and sat down next to the children on the right.
"Grandpa, thank you for your hard work. Give them to me. Go rest for a while. I see Comrade Feng Zheng is cooking the last dish. We'll be able to eat soon." Yuxiu simply gave up her seat and squatted on the ground. She pulled the two children on her right to her. She made them look at her and asked them seriously, "Why are you crying again? You cry when I haven't seen you for a while. What should I do? I'm hungry too! Do I want to cry like you?"
As she spoke, she pouted and imitated their crying behavior; the three children were dumbfounded.
Yan Rushan was both angry and amused watching this. Yan Guofeng breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly sat down on the sofa next to him. He patted his chest. His heart was still beating hard. The three children cried from time to time, which was really a test for his heart.
"Mother."
"Mom, no, cry."
"Cry, Mom."
The three little ones crawled on the edge of the sofa and reached out to touch her head; these little people knew how to comfort others, although these comforting methods were learned from adults, but it did not prevent them from clumsily coaxing their mother.
Zhong Yuxiu didn't stop, hugged her knees and continued to cry.
"No, no."
"Mom, be good."
"Crying is bad."
The crying paused, and everyone was confused. She was being scolded by her sons. They scolded her because she couldn't be comforted? Who did they learn this from?
Looking up at the three boys, their brows were furrowed, and they looked worried and a little curious.
"Are you still crying?"
"Cry."
"Mom, no, be good."
"Mom, cry."
Zhong Yuxiu said confidently, "Yes, Mommy cried. If you cry easily in the future, Mommy will cry for you to see."
"No, don't cry."
"I'm good."
"Be good, Mommy, be good."
Zhong Yuxiu resigned herself to her fate and held them in her arms, kissing their little faces. "Come on, you still know how to ask Mommy to be good. If Mommy is not good, will you not be good too?"
"No, I'm good."
"I'm good."
"good."
The little dumplings sat up, puffing out their chests and showing off their round bellies; their three little faces were full of seriousness, as if saying, we are good, and you are not.
Zhong Yuxiu was at a loss for words. This was truly a huge misunderstanding, but it seemed like their understanding was correct.
"If you cry again, I will cry too. Do you understand? Remember that?"
"Um."
The little dumplings nodded in unison, showing a great understanding.
"Then it's a deal, no more crying; now, it's time for us to eat." Yuxiu looked back at Yan Rushan, "Get them some hot water to wash their faces. They're all covered in tear marks from crying, which looks ugly." The last sentence was said to the children.
"No, ugly."
"He's ugly."
"beautiful!"
"Wow, you still care about beauty." Yan Rushan was extremely helpless. "You are just little, but you still care about beauty. What will happen when you grow up? Your mother and I are not conceited. Where did you learn this from?"
If the three children could understand what he said, they would probably reply that they learned it from your wife.
"What are you talking about?" Zhong Yuxiu hit Yan Rushan's arm. "They're gradually starting to remember things. Don't tell them everything. They have high IQs, so by next year they'll remember everything you tell them."
Yan Rushan was stunned. "IQ is so high?"
Normally children start to remember things at the age of six or seven, and the smart ones start at three or four. These two children are probably not even two years old; how can they remember things so early?
"They have good constitutions," Zhong Yuxiu said, then patted the children on the head. "Don't listen to your father, he's always mischievous. In our family, Li Ji, Li Ming, and Li Zhen all have to behave well. It's not like being beautiful is just a girl's thing, right?"
The children nodded seriously, accompanied by "hmm" sounds.
