Zhong Yuxiu did not comment on this. She did everything she should do and had a clear conscience.
"You've been busy with this project. Take a break if you want. I'll report to the higher-ups."
"Thank you, Comrade Xi Nian." Zhong Yuxiu smiled and was about to continue speaking when Yan Guofeng, Yan Rushan and others came back with dinner; and the child was handed to Goudan and Fang Guozhong behind them.
Also returning with them were Gu Lingguo, Wang Daya, and Gong Zhaodi. Feng Zhengying was still in the kitchen, so he did not come back with them.
"Comrade Xi Nian, let's have a meal together and have some fun." Yan Guofeng came into the room and saw that he was still there, so he invited him.
"I'm sorry to bother you and Comrade Yan Rushan." Xi Nian followed suit.
Yan Guofeng looked at his eldest grandson's wife.
Zhong Yuxiu smiled and nodded at him, making a gesture. Yan Guofeng understood immediately, looked away, and laughed, "Comrade Xi Nian, please sit down. Let's talk. After dinner, if you have anything to discuss, go ahead and talk."
Xi Nian nodded politely and took a seat with Zhong Yuxiu and others; his seat was arranged opposite Zhong Yuxiu.
The Yan family's seating arrangement used to be like this: Old Man Yan was at the top, with Zhong Yuxiu and Yan Rushan to the left, and then Father and Mother Yan to the right, followed by Gu Lingguo, Wang Daya, and others. If Father and Mother Yan were not at home, Gu Lingguo and Fang Guozhong would be next in line. Now that Xi Nian had arrived, it was natural for him to be given the reception seat.

Xi Nian glanced outside the door and said, "Then I'll bother you, Comrade Zhong, and Comrade Yan together."

"Come in and have dinner." Xi Nian shouted to the two guards outside the door.
The two were confused for a moment and looked into the room, unsure if they were being called.
"I'm calling you. Come in and eat. How can you be full in the cold wind outside?" Yan Guofeng couldn't stand it anymore. He felt that these two young people were not smart enough and he didn't know what was going on in their heads. If it were him, he would definitely eat first.
"We, won't?"

The two were startled and hurried into the house. Xi Nian waved at them, "Old Yan has already spoken, why are you being so polite? This is not our first time here. We are all regular customers, so please be generous with everything."

Yan Rushan smiled happily and kept picking up food for her; Yan Guofeng was used to the good relationship between his eldest grandson and his wife, but Xi Nian and the other two comrades were fed a mouthful of dog food and felt full before they had even taken a few bites.
