Chapter 3: Exposing My Son to Childhood Violence

Jiang Shiyue closed her eyes, too exhausted to complain. She pulled a key from her muddy pocket and unlocked the door.

The original owner's actions can no longer be described as bizarre.

She used the lock on her front door to lock the bathroom, simply because she didn't want to share a bathroom with others. She would only leave the bathroom door open after she finished showering and lock it before going to bed at night.

No wonder the sisters-in-law complained.

The public bathroom was extremely simple, without even a cement floor, just a layer of bricks. There was a circle of sewers against the wall covered with a hollow iron mesh.

There are about ten simple shower heads around the wall.

Jiang Siyue rinsed herself clean and washed her and Chen Shanhe's clothes. As soon as she turned off the water, she heard the voices of several children coming from the bathroom next door.

"Why are we in the ladies' room beating up this little idiot?"

"Are you stupid? Of course he's afraid his father will see it."

"You might even see it in the ladies' room!"

"I hate him so much, I won't care!"

"Stop talking nonsense and get started! Who wouldn't hate him? What if he causes trouble for us later?"

“…”

Jiang Shiyue: “???”

Is this childhood violence?

She hurriedly put on her clothes and kicked open the bathroom door.

Several half-grown kids of different heights, weights and bodies surrounded a little boy of about two or three years old and started beating and kicking him.

Beating and scolding at the same time.

"Let your mother bully my mother!"

"You let your mother steal the bottles from my house! My father thought I stole them and beat me up."

"Your mother called me a little fool, but you are the fool! You didn't even cry or scream when you were beaten!"

“…”

Jiang Shiyue then realized that the "his mother" these naughty kids said was not an insult, but was referring to the little boy's mother, that is, herself.

The little boy who was beaten was Yangyang, the child of the original owner and Chen Shanhe.

Jiang Shiyue didn't have time to think about it and shouted "Stop!" At the same time, he grabbed the collars of the two naughty kids closest to him and pulled them back.

The naughty kid turned around and saw that it was her. He struggled madly and shouted, "The bad witch is coming!"

The layout of the bathroom and water room is similar, with a row of squat toilets on each side of the wall, divided into equally sized pits by brick walls about one meter high.

There was only a narrow aisle in the middle.

The children were pushing and shoving each other. In the chaos, someone pushed Yangyang, and his forehead hit the rough edge of the partition wall. He saw blood flowing down his forehead and dripping onto the ground.

The light in the toilet was dim, Yangyang's skin was white, and half of his face covered in blood looked particularly shocking.

But this little boy, who was only three years old, had no expression on his face. He didn't cry or shout, and his deep black eyes were frighteningly empty.

The children were all terrified.

Jiang Shiyue was an adult after all, so he reacted quickly. He tore off a patch of cloth that was about to fall off a child's body, covered Yangyang's forehead with it, picked him up and rushed out.

The other children finally reacted, some were in a daze, some were crying for their parents, and some were trying to escape.

Jiang Shiyue ran out of the compound holding Yangyang regardless of anything.

The guard in the compound was strict about coming in but not about leaving. Seeing Jiang Shiyue's anxious look, he opened the gate and let her in.

Jiang Shiyue ran out for a few dozen meters and found that the surroundings were mostly mountains, and there was no sign of human habitation. Suddenly, he was dumbfounded and stopped panting.

Hearing heavy breathing sounds of varying rhythms from behind her, Jiang Shiyue turned around and saw a girl about the same age as Yangyang following behind her.

She asked the little girl who caught up with her, "Little girl, do you know where there is a hospital nearby?"

The little girl was obviously afraid of Jiang Shiyue. She took a step back, clenched her fists and shook her head.

Jiang Shiyue: “…”

She lifted the wet bloody cloth. The wound on Yangyang's forehead looked quite deep, as if the bone was exposed, and blood was still flowing out.

Jiang Shiyue was so frightened that she quickly covered his mouth with her hands, looking flustered.

What should I do?

She didn't know first aid or medical skills. She had just changed her body and her memories hadn't fully integrated yet, and she wasn't familiar with the environment.

Jiang Shiyue was at her wit's end and was about to carry her child back to the compound to ask Chen Shanhe for help when a military green jeep drove over. Jiang Shiyue ignored it and held Yangyang in her arms, blocking the middle of the road and forcing the car to stop.

This is a military vehicle, and the people sitting in it are definitely not bad guys.

However, Jiang Shiyue was still frightened when she saw through the glass that the soldier in the passenger seat had pulled out a gun and aimed it at her. She hurriedly shouted, "Comrade, help!"

Soon, the rear window rolled down, revealing the kind face of a middle-aged man.

Now they all wear Type 65 military uniforms. Without epaulettes, you can’t tell your rank, but with four pockets, you should be a cadre.

Jiang Shiyue quickly glanced at the middle-aged man, came to a conclusion, and asked for help, "Leader, could you please take us to the nearest hospital?"

"You get in first." The middle-aged man opened the car door without saying a word, moved to the other side, and made room for Jiang Siyue.

The person in the passenger seat obviously disagreed and wanted to speak, but saw the middle-aged man's restraining look in the rearview mirror, so he had to put the gun away.

Jiang Shiyue thanked him and carried Yangyang into the car. The little girl followed. The back seat was a bit crowded with four people, big and small.

The driver had to turn around and drive back.

"What's wrong with the kid?" The middle-aged man pointed at the blood on Yangyang's face.

"A few kids bumped into each other while playing."

"The military health company can't even see it?"

Jiang Shiyue: “…”

Yes! The army should also have medical personnel.

Suddenly a little embarrassed, "I forgot."

"All mothers are like this. They tend to panic when something happens to their children." The middle-aged man expressed his understanding. "So, do you plan to go to the hospital or return to the compound?"

Although Jiang Shiyue was not yet ready to be a mother, she hesitated for a moment and said firmly, "Please ask the leader to take us to a larger hospital."

"Don't trust the medical skills of soldiers?"

Jiang Shiyue shook her head. "When it comes to treating external injuries, the soldiers in the medical company are definitely excellent. However, my child bumped into a rock, and I want to give him a detailed examination."

In fact, she suspected that Yangyang had autism.

A three-year-old child always had an expression as if it had nothing to do with him no matter he was beaten or scolded, with empty eyes. Until now, he had not shed a single tear, and neither cried nor shouted.

This is definitely not the reaction of a normal child. It is somewhat similar to the autistic children she had come into contact with in her previous life.

The people in the medical company usually come into contact with soldiers, and most of them are good at treating external injuries. I'm afraid they are not very good at treating children's illnesses. If you can get a ride, you might as well go to a big hospital for a check-up.

Regardless of whether she is the child's adoptive mother or not, she wants to help because the child is the most innocent.

The driver must be very familiar with this road. He drove very fast and stopped in front of the military hospital after an unknown amount of time.
