Chapter 85: Love in the Sea of Flowers
Luo Xifeng took out a yellowed medical book cover from his arms. This was the only relic left by his father.
He stared at the medical book in a daze.
When Chu Yangyang saw the word "Luo's" on the cover, he knew that this was left to him by Luo's father.
She said, "Do you carry it with you?"
Luo Xifeng hummed, and said, "My father's relics, I like to carry them with me."
Chu Yangyang took it, opened it and looked through it, and suddenly heard a slight sound of paper tearing.
The edge of the page in her hand was torn, revealing a bluish piece of paper inside.
"This page is thicker than the others." She held the page up to the sunlight. "Master Luo, look at this page. Why is there a small piece of paper stuck inside?"
Luo Xifeng then pulled out a dagger and pried open the glue.
A torn pulse chart fell out from the interlayer. The ink was mostly stained with blood, and there was a row of small words written on it.
Chu Yangyang stared at the small words and gasped, "Lord Luo, what does this mean?"
"It seems that my father discovered this secret." Luo Xifeng's knuckles turned white from pinching. "This may be the reason why my entire Luo family was wiped out."
She grabbed Luo Xifeng's wrist and said, "That's why the Queen is so anxious to silence him. This makes sense."
"But I still need to go to the East Palace to confirm it. I didn't notice this before. This is really strange." Luo Xifeng frowned.
Chu Yangyang was anxious to know the answer, so she grabbed Luo Xifeng's hand and was about to walk back.
"Let's go, let's go to the East Palace and take a look."
Anxious, the two held hands.
Luo Xifeng suddenly grabbed Chu Yangyang's wrist, but the force was three points lighter than usual.
"There's no rush for the Eastern Palace. There's a beautiful view west of the pine forest. I'll take you there." He traced the calluses on her palm with his fingertips. "We can discuss the Eastern Palace matter after you've seen it."
Chu Yangyang struggled, but he clamped his fingers even tighter.
He seemed to naturally clasp his fingers, the soft little hand, in his palm, feeling inexplicably warm.
He didn't want to let go.
Chu Yangyang staggered half a step, and Luo Xifeng took the opportunity to hold her waist, and the fragrance of green bamboo medicine mixed with body temperature hit her face.
Chu Yangyang was enveloped in his arms. She wanted to break free, but she was also craving the familiar scent of medicine. While she was hesitating, he had already led her forward.
When turning the corner of the mountain, a large area of scarlet caught my eye. Flowers were in full bloom, and swarms of bees were flying around, shaking off golden powder-like anthers.
The morning light splashed on the wild roses all over the mountain, dyeing the layers of crimson into golden edges.
As the waves of flowers surged with the wind, they startled thousands of white-winged butterflies, like broken snow scattered into the air.
"The last time I was picking herbs, I accidentally came across this flower field." Luo Xifeng broke off a sharp thorn and carefully pulled her to his side.
Chu Yangyang was shocked by the beautiful sea of flowers. She leaned over to smell the flowers and suddenly felt a chill on the back of her neck.
Luo Xifeng tucked the dew-soaked rose behind her ear, his knuckles brushing against the pulse point on the side of her neck, "Be careful of the thorns."
The flower shadows shattered into blood beads in his pupils.
She caught a glimpse of his eyes, which were as gentle as jade and refreshing as a breeze in summer.
Just as she was about to speak, he picked up the flower nectar from her lips.
His fingertips, twisting the gold powder, trembled in the sunlight. He looked at her, "Do you like it here?"
Chu Yangyang smiled and nodded, but her eyes could not leave the flowers. "Yeah, I like it."
The wind blew the broken petals into her sleeve, and Chu Yangyang pinched a piece of the petal.
A sudden gust of wind blew through the sea of flowers, and the rose vines brushed against the back of her hand.
Blood oozed out, and Luo Xifeng reached out and held her hand.
Chu Yangyang smiled and broke free, pressing the wound on the back of her hand to his lips, "Lord Luo, look, I'm bleeding again. Suck some quickly, it will help detoxify you. Don't waste it, drink it while it's hot."
Luo Xifeng was stunned and didn't move.
Chu Yangyang urged, "Hurry up, this wound is small and should heal soon."
His eyelashes trembled.
The girl's eyes were filled with concern, and now the reflection of Rose and him was shining brightly.
"Nonsense." He slapped her hand away. He no longer wanted her to take his blood.
Chu Yangyang was a little displeased, "Luo Xifeng, drink quickly, my blood is very precious, please don't waste it!"
After she finished speaking, she had already put the back of her hand between his lips.
Helplessly, he could only hold her wrist with his fingertips, and gently pressed his lips against the wound.
The warm touch made Chu Yangyang's ears burn. She just realized that he was hugging her waist. Her face was very close to his, with only her small hand lying between them.
This posture is really too intimate.
The breeze blew through the roses in her hair, and the petals brushed against his Adam's apple.
Chu Yangyang reached out and brushed it away, her fingertips touching a slightly rolling bump.
She stared at his drooping eyelashes and suddenly noticed that they were covered with golden pollen.
"There's something in your eye."
"What?"
She reached out to brush them away, and just as her fingertips touched her eyelashes, Luo Xifeng looked at her.
Their eyes met, and the wind from the sea of flowers blew the petals into the space between them, tinging their unspoken words with a sweet fragrance.
"It's beeswax." His voice was a little hoarse, but he held her hand tightly but did not let go. "There are honeycomb fragments on your sleeve."
Chu Yangyang checked her cuffs and found some sticky honey on them.
She unconsciously put the back of her hand down, but unexpectedly, Luo Xifeng held her hand and continued to suck it carefully.
The tip of the tongue swept across the wound, causing a tingling sensation.
She felt like her face was burning.
And he, with a pair of eyes as gentle as jade, looked at her tenderly.
The tenderness in his hand flowed across his tongue, and he unexpectedly liked this moment.
At this moment, a strange sound suddenly came from the stream next to him, and Luo Xifeng instinctively protected her behind him.
"careful!"
Chu Yangyang thought there was another assassin coming, so she hugged Luo Xifeng's waist from behind.
She closed her eyes, but only heard a "plop" sound.
She opened her eyes and saw red-tailed carps jumping out of the water, splashing half of his sleeve.
Chu Yangyang laughed out loud, "Look at the two of us, we're both like frightened birds. If the fish see us, they'll laugh at us for being so timid."
She poked her head out from behind him and smiled charmingly and lovely.
He reached out his hand and couldn't help but rub the top of her head, saying lovingly, "Your Highness has suffered recently."
He smiled faintly, dimples appeared at the corners of his lips, and the golden fragments in his eyes were more dazzling than the sea of flowers.
Chu Yangyang was immediately captivated by such beauty. The tips of her ears turned crimson at a speed visible to the naked eye, and the top of her head still had a slight itch from his touch.
The bamboo fragrance from Luo Xi's windbreaker, mixed with the sweet scent of roses, rushed into her nostrils. She heard her heartbeat shaking the petals in her hair off. The bright red petal happened to fall on his Adam's apple and rolled into the depths of his collar as he swallowed.
She had to admit that Luo Xifeng was really handsome.
But she didn't know that she was looking at him with an almost obsessive look.
Her upturned eyes were filled with the light of morning dew, and every time her long eyelashes fluttered, they shook off stars, like fireflies wrapped in amber. She knew the danger but was willing to drown in this starry sky.
And those lips, red, moist and tender...
