Chapter 424: So Many Wishes
When Cancan woke up, he rolled around in bed several times.
He put on his pajamas, put down the guardrail, and washed up quietly by himself.
Then he opened the door of the children's room and went out. There were cakes and milk at his door.
Cancan looked at the cake twice more and found that he seemed unable to guess what the cake wanted to say. However, he did not take it to heart. He went to the kitchen to check, but did not find anyone, so he went to the master bedroom.
The door of the master bedroom was not closed tightly, so he pushed it open and went in.
Wen Shuqiao raised his head slightly from the bed, and Cancan ran over with a smile. Just as he was about to speak, he saw his aunt making a hushing gesture.
He quickly covered his mouth with both hands, and the dog sneaked to Wen Shuqiao's bed.
Wen Shuqiao patted the bed lightly, and Cancan happily took off his slippers and climbed onto the bed. Like a ball, he turned around and rolled into his aunt's arms.
Cancan whispered, "Aunt."
Wen Shuqiao touched his head: "Baby."
Cancan went to see his uncle who was sleeping next to his aunt's shoulder and asked quietly, "Why hasn't your uncle woken up yet?"
"My uncle is feeling a little unwell and won't be going to work today. Baby, do you want to go to school today? If you don't want to go, I'll send a message to your teacher to ask for leave." Wen Shuqiao thought about it and felt that he still had to respect Cancan's choice.
Who knew that Cancan's eyes lit up when he heard that he didn't have to go to kindergarten, and he almost couldn't hold back his voice. However, after seeing his uncle's sleeping face, he covered his mouth again: "I want to stay at home with my aunt and uncle."
Wen Shuqiao kissed him again and curled his eyes: "Okay, stay with us."
After knowing that he would not go to kindergarten, Cancan pupated a few more times and hugged Wen Shuqiao tightly. He asked, "Aunt, can we go out and play today?"
Wen Shuqiao thought about it and decided to go out and relax. Today was a weekday, so there would be fewer people wherever he went. Besides, the weather was also good, so it was a good day for an outing.
She nodded: "Okay, when my uncle wakes up, we'll go out and play."
Cancan hummed: "Okay, where are we going?"
Wen Shuqiao thought about it and suddenly remembered a place: there was a temple in the south of the city which was said to be very effective.
She had wanted to go there before, but because the journey was too far, she had never been there.
She asked, "How about going to a temple? Have you ever been to a temple?"
Cancan shook her head: "No, is it fun?"
"You can stroll around, look around, and make a wish." Wen Shuqiao asked, "Does the baby have a wish?"
"Yes." Cancan said, "I have many, many wishes."
As he spoke, he raised both hands to show that he had many wishes.
Wen Shuqiao took a look and said with a smile, "So many."
Cancan nodded: "Yes, because I am a greedy baby."
What a greedy baby.
Wen Shuqiao pinched Cancan's cheeks, and Cancan rubbed Wen Shuqiao's fingers like a kitten or a puppy: "Aunt, do you have any wishes?"
"Auntie hopes that the baby can grow up healthy, safe and happy." Wen Shuqiao said, "Then Auntie will be super, super happy."
Cancan said "Oh" and said, "Then I also want my aunt and uncle to grow up healthy, safe and happy."
Wen Shuqiao couldn't help laughing: "Little fool, my uncle and I are getting older."
Cancan pouted her lips and said, "I don't want you to grow old."
Kindergarten actually taught a lot of things, and Cancan is now different from who he was half a year ago!
This is called today is different from yesterday (today is different from the past)!
"Growing old is a process. My baby has grown up, and my uncle and I are growing up too. As long as our family is healthy and safe, we will be happy whether we are growing up or getting old."
Cancan played with Wen Shuqiao's hair with her fingers: "Well, okay then, how about you two grow old slowly? I'll grow up quickly so I don't have to go to kindergarten."
Wen Shuqiao patted his head and said, "Okay, I'll listen to you. My uncle and I will grow old together."
Cancan was happy now. He raised his head and kissed Wen Shuqiao's face hard: "Okay!"
Then he climbed up from Wen Shuqiao's arms, pressed on her, and gently kissed the sleeping Shen Jiazhou on the cheek.
Wen Shuqiao looked at him, then turned his gaze to Shen Jiazhou, leaned over and kissed Shen Jiazhou on the forehead.
Then the two sober ones, one big and one small, looked at each other and smiled secretly.
Shen Jiazhou slept very deeply during this nap. He thought he was dreaming, but in fact he didn't dream anything. When he woke up, he felt more energetic.
But before he opened his eyes, he felt someone leaning against his back. He turned his head and saw Cancan sitting behind him in pajamas, leaning against him leisurely and playing with the Rubik's Cube.
There were so many toys. He hadn’t seen Cancan playing with the Rubik’s Cube for a long time. He also had a yogurt bar stuffed in his mouth. He looked so comfortable.
Shen Jiazhou stared at his profile, hesitated for a moment, and then called out in a hoarse voice: "Baby?"
Cancan heard his uncle calling him, turned his head, bit the yogurt stick and said incoherently: "Uncle, you're awake!"
Shen Jiazhou looked at his soft profile, turned over and faced him.
Cancan chewed the yogurt bar and swallowed it, then put down the Rubik's Cube in her hand, and lay down with her butt sticking up, facing her uncle's face, and smiled foolishly.
Shen Jiazhou asked, "What are you happy about?"
"Uncle, now that you're awake, we can go out and play! Aunt said we're going out for an outing today!" Cancan showed her little teeth: "Hurry up, uncle, are you hungry? Aunt bought me custard buns and shrimp dumplings this morning, they're delicious, I left one for you, do you like them, uncle?"
Shen Jiazhou looked at Cancan's little mouth moving non-stop. He took a deep breath and touched his face: "Uncle likes it."
Cancan asked again: "Aunt said you were not feeling well, are you feeling better now, uncle?"
Shen Jiazhou was slightly stunned: "Much better."
Cancan chuckled twice, then leaned over and kissed him: "Hurry up, uncle!"
Shen Jiazhou closed his eyes and said, "...next time, don't eat candy, it's sticky."
Cancan refused to listen. While her uncle wasn't paying attention, she held his face in her hands and kissed him hard on the cheek, insisting on smearing some saliva on his uncle.
After the kiss, he quickly turned over and got out of bed, like a little loach that was impossible to catch.
He ran to the door and turned back to say, "Uncle, hurry up."
After saying that, he ran away. When Cake, which was lying on the ground, saw him leaving, he trotted after him.
Shen Jiazhou looked at the wide-open door of the master bedroom, his brows relaxed a little, and finally, he revealed a gentle smile.
