Chapter 17 Going to the toilet... Is it that important?

Wen Nan spent a day turning the open-air kitchen into an enclosed one.

Then I placed the rice and meat in a clean place in the kitchen.

Wen Nan installed another door in the kitchen.

In the afternoon, Wen Nan went out to pick up Lu Yanqing.

Lu Yanqing will become a tyrant in the future, undoubtedly because he has suffered too much hardship and been abused by others.

She was destined to bring warmth to Lu Yanqing in the future.

Wen Nan took on the responsibility of picking up and dropping off Lu Yanqing all by himself.

The oxcart belongs to another village; this place is remote.

The oxcart also earned some extra money, making three trips a day, morning, noon, and evening.

To save money, Wen Nan walked into the city, carrying an oil-paper umbrella and wearing a long blue dress.

Although the original owner was arrogant and domineering, she treated me very well, never neglecting my clothes or cosmetics.

Wen Nan can practically change her clothes every day.

As darkness fell, the red lanterns at the entrance of Fengya Academy lit up, casting a festive red glow on the white snow on the green tiles.

Many carriages were parked at the entrance of the academy, and the owners were all wealthy and noble.

Fengya Academy is the most prestigious academy in Jiangnan. Only the wealthy sons of Jiangnan can attend it.

Wen Nan stood out conspicuously. Holding an oil-paper umbrella, she stood beside the academy, searching for that figure among the group of students who had come out.

Almost everyone had left when suddenly the system's voice echoed in Wen Nan's mind.

Zhang Ruyu. She frequently bullies the target and is the target's deskmate.

A small red mark appeared in front of Wen Nan's eyes, landing on the head of a young nobleman. Wen Nan tilted his head slightly and glanced at it.

Lu Yanqing came out from inside.

Wen Nan immediately stepped forward, holding up an oil-paper umbrella to shield herself from the falling snowflakes.

Lu Yanqing turned his head, looking surprised.

What brings you here?

“I was worried about you, so naturally I came,” Wen Nan said.

Lu Yanqing frowned slightly, disapproving of Wen Nan's words.

Lu Yanqing and Wen Nan walked to the oxcart, where Uncle Li was still waiting for the others.

Lu Yanqing stood at the starting point and said, "Tomorrow, the academy will have a day off."

Wen Nan raised an eyebrow slightly, tilted her head slightly, and asked with a hint of doubt in her eyes, "Why?"

“The academy rests one day every ten days,” Lu Yanqing explained. But seeing Wen Nan’s hands red from the cold, Lu Yanqing naturally took the oil-paper umbrella. Wen Nan pulled her hands back and tucked them into her sleeves.

Lu Yanqing saw Wen Nan's actions but didn't say anything. She used to be... not afraid of the cold. Even in the dead of winter, she would wear her clothes that she thought were flamboyant and go out drinking.

Now I'm afraid of the cold.

Wen Nan put his hands in his pockets, nodded, and indicated that he had made a mental note of it.

After a moment, Wen Nan turned his head slightly, a different emotion flashing in his eyes.

She turned to Lu Yanqing and said, "Husband, I'm going to the restroom."

With that, he turned to leave.

Lu Yanqing's starry eyes held a hint of confusion. He didn't understand what Wen Nan meant by "going to the toilet." He reached out and tugged at Wen Nan's sleeve.

"The oxcart is about to leave, what do you need? Going to the toilet... is that important?"

Wen Nan nodded and smiled. She leaned forward slightly and lowered her voice, saying, "Going to the toilet is an urgent matter for everyone. Do you think it's important or not?"

Lu Yanqing turned his head and coughed lightly.

Wen Nan had just stepped out when someone suddenly grabbed his sleeve.

Wen Nan turned around, and Lu Yanqing pointed to the place where Wen Nan was going in the opposite direction.

“There it is.”

Wen Nan nodded obediently and walked in the direction Lu Yanqing pointed.
