Chapter 37 Hair Tie

A biting wind blew by, and Wen Nan's hair fluttered in the cold air.

Lu Yanqing lowered his eyes, the temperature in his hands gradually rising as he roasted sweet potatoes wrapped in parchment paper. Inside the academy, Lu Yanqing often practiced calligraphy with a brush, while outside, the wind and snow were heavy.

Lu Yanqing's hands were already ice-cold.

Wen Nan smiled slightly, and the woman raised her eyes, her voice gentle, "Warm your hands."

Wen Nan took out her fragrant roasted sweet potato and took a bite.

Lu Yanqing lowered his eyes; the warmth of the sweet potato in his hand made his hands feel less cold. But... Wen Nan had started acting without warning.

He remained puzzled, yet also felt... that this change was actually quite good...

Lu Yanqing's gaze lingered on Wen Nan.

Wen Nan took a bite of sweet potato and looked up.

Wen Nan held a sweet potato in one hand and gently brushed the stray hairs from her temples with the other, the wind was too strong.

Her hair was completely messed up by the wind.

Even with a cloak on, the black hair at her temples was blown out by the wind and stung with snowflakes.

With a sweet potato in his mouth, his voice was a little muffled as he asked, "Why are you looking at me like that? Is there something on my face?"

The sweet potato was hot, and Wen Nan's small mouth was slightly open, constantly exhaling hot air.

The cold wind howled, and heavy snow fell.

Lu Yanqing reached out and tucked Wen Nan's hair behind her ear, but it was blown out by the wind again a moment later.

The wind is too strong.

Wen Nan grinned and said, "It's not very obedient."

Lu Yanqing handed the sweet potato to Wen Nan, who obediently accepted it.

Lu Yanqing removed the cloak from Wen Nan's head and took out a rope from somewhere.

Lu Yanqing reached out and gently brushed away the stray hairs at Wen Nan's temples. His jet-black hair was like the finest silk, making it irresistible to touch.

Lu Yanqing was slightly flustered.

He had never tied anyone's hair before, let alone the couple in front of him... who were practically dead together.

He didn't know what was going on... but suddenly he reached out his hand.

Fortunately.

Lu Yanqing scrutinized Wen Nan's expression.

In the past, Wen Nan would definitely have humiliated him thoroughly. But... Wen Nan smiled.

She doesn't reject...

Lu Yanqing always felt that Wennan was Wennan, but it was not the Wennan of the past.

Lu Yanqing was overthinking things; his fingertip accidentally brushed against Wen Nan's rounded earlobe...

Lu Yanqing was stunned by the soft touch of his fingertips.

Wen Nan was stunned when she felt an unusual sensation in her earlobe.

Lu Yanqing coughed a few times and said, "Sorry."

The atmosphere grew increasingly awkward. Lu Yanqing took out a hair towel from somewhere and wrapped it around Wen Nan's jet-black hair.

The woman tilted her head, her eyes seemingly adorned with a sky full of stars.

“It seems my husband hasn’t tied my hair up enough… If you really feel bad…” The woman tilted her head slightly, the cloak covering her head now shut out the cold of that day.

Wen Nan reached out and handed the sweet potato to Lu Yanqing.

This time...the wind didn't blow out her hair again.

Lu Yanqing pursed her lips, her ears, hidden under her cloak, turned redder and redder, almost as if they were about to bleed.

Lu Yanqing rubbed his fingertips together slightly, feeling offended even to himself... He was also somewhat annoyed.

But what Wen Nan said next left Lu Yanqing completely bewildered...

"It seems my husband is quite inexperienced. I'll have to trouble him to do my hair more often in the future." Wen Nan's voice was as usual, without the slightest change, but...

Lu Yanqing's ears turned even redder.

In the future...
