Chapter 45 Does My Husband Like It?

A man and a bear fell off a cliff.

Suddenly... silence fell.

A moment later, a hand, red from the cold, suddenly appeared on the snow. Wen Nan had climbed up from the bottom of the cliff.

Wen Nan was human; she grabbed onto a tree branch on the cliff face and climbed up. The cliff was steep but uneven.

It wasn't particularly difficult for Wennan to get here.

But the bear did indeed fall off the cliff.

Wen Nan sighed and rushed to Lu Yanqing's side.

As night fell, the heavy snow continued to fall.

Wen Nan reached out and touched Lu Yanqing's forehead to check its temperature.

The temperature is very high.

Wen Nan didn't even have time to think before taking the person to Lotus Village and went straight to the city.

As night fell, the place was deserted, and a cold wind blew, making Wen Nan's cheeks red.

Wen Nan slightly turned her head and pressed her cheek against Lu Yanqing's cheek, who was already unconscious.

The temperature is frighteningly high.

Wen Nan swallowed hard and, without waiting for anyone, went straight to the city.

When they arrived at a clinic, Wen Nan, carrying Lu Yanqing on his back, reached out and knocked on the shopkeeper's door.

It was already dark, the streets were covered with snow, and every household had their doors and windows closed.

Wen Nan looked up and saw that it was a small clinic.

Wen Nan kept knocking on the door, and there were some faint noises coming from inside... but Wen Nan had good hearing and heard them all.

"Doctor, please open the door quickly, I have a patient here." Wen Nan spoke, only to find that his voice was inexplicably hoarse, as if each word was being strained.

Despite being freezing cold, she carried Lu Yanqing on her back for half an hour to reach the city and find a clinic.

As soon as Wen Nan finished speaking, the door to the clinic opened.

Medical treatment is expensive. Lu Yanqing caught a cold, and Wen Nan bought some medicine, but they had already spent all their money.

A biting wind blew, and the candlelight inside the house flickered slightly.

Lu Yanqing's eyelids felt heavy, and he opened them.

The first thing I saw was the familiar bed curtains.

He went home from school yesterday. It was already winter, and the college was on holiday. There would be an exam in three days.

The students were divided into two classes, one for heaven and one for earth, to participate in the provincial examination the following August.

Those with good grades go to the sky class, and those with poor grades go to the earth class.

They're not usually dismissed this early; the weather's freezing today. The college allowed them to go home early.

But they never expected to encounter an avalanche on the way.

He was completely buried under the snow.

Later, in a daze, he seemed to see Wen Nan and hear the low growling of wild beasts.

As soon as Lu Yanqing opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was the woman's features.

Now it seems... Wen Nan really did come to save him.

Wen Nanyuan's eyes curved into crescents as she picked up the warm water beside her and spooned it to Lu Yanqing's lips.

"Drink some water." Wen Nan fed Lu Yanqing some water.

Lu Yanqing then realized that her throat was incredibly dry.

Lu Yanqing drank a few sips of water, and Wen Nan went outside and handed the prepared medicine to Lu Yanqing.

Lu Yanqing frowned as he looked at the black soup.

“You’ve caught a cold, you must drink this medicine, otherwise… do you expect me to coax you to drink it, my husband?” The woman glanced sideways, her voice leaving no room for argument, and the medicine was already placed next to Lu Yanqing’s mouth.

Lu Yanqing's ears turned slightly red; naturally, he didn't want Wen Nan to coax him into feeding him.

Lu Yanqing picked up the bitter Chinese medicine and drank it all in one gulp.

Suddenly, something was stuffed into Lu Yanqing's mouth, and the sweet taste instantly dispelled the bitterness in her mouth.

Wen Nan tilted her head slightly. "A sweet treat. Does my husband like it?"

Lu Yanqing's ears turned slightly red, and his face was pale.
