Wenzhou City chattered incessantly throughout.
Wenzhou Cheng is the youngest son of the Wen family. He was sent to school from a young age, and Wenzhou Cheng would occasionally share the ancient poems that Wen Nan and his generation had learned at school.
Sometimes she would tell Wen Nan about the interesting things she found at school.
The city of Wenzhou makes no mention of the Wen family.
Wen Nan was very patient, occasionally chiming in with a few words, and he spoke even more enthusiastically about Wenzhou City.
This is the first time Wen Nan has come back at noon. Before, he would wander around the city or go hunting, and rarely had free time to come back on his own.
This is the first time.
From a great distance... Wenzhou City saw houses that were completely different from those before. Wenzhou City's mouth gaped open, as if an egg could fit inside.
"Sister, how come your house is so big?" Wenzhou Cheng looked at Wen Nan and reached out to tightly grasp her hand. His eyes were full of disbelief.
He kept exhaling hot air from his mouth.
"Yes, one of my brothers is rich, so he moved here and renovated the house," Wen Nan answered Wenzhou City truthfully.
Wenzhou City nodded.
"That's great! My sister can live in a big house from now on." The four-year-old boy's eyes were full of joy. His sister would no longer have to suffer.
Wen Nan led Wenzhou City into the gatehouse, only to find that the red wooden door had already been kicked open.
Wen Nan's first thought was that a thief had broken in...
She picked up the broom beside her and shielded Wenzhou Cheng behind her. Wen Nan glanced at Wenzhou Cheng, who immediately held his breath and covered his mouth and nose. He followed Wen Nan cautiously.
Wen Nan slowed down.
She had long anticipated that Wen Nan's big house would attract envy.
I never expected that it would be built just yesterday, and someone would sneak up here today.
"Burn it, burn it..." came a man's muttering voice from the kitchen next door.
It was like chanting a spell.
Wen Nan's boots walked on the bluestone road, her steps slowed, almost silent.
She immediately realized that the person's location was in the kitchen.
Wen Nan strode forward and "clicked" open the kitchen door.
The scene inside then appeared before Wen Nan.
A man with disheveled hair was dressed in coarse linen clothes covered in mud, which hadn't been changed in a long time and had become caked with dirt.
His long hair was unkempt and completely tangled. His eyes were visible, and the moment he looked at Wen Nan, his eyes narrowed sharply.
Suddenly standing up, Wen Nan reached out to protect Wenzhou City.
The disheveled man rushed out of the kitchen and wandered around the yard, holding a tinderbox in his hand.
All the meat that Wen Nan had cured in the kitchen was thrown on the floor.
The porcelain bowls, pots, pans, and other utensils were all smashed.
It was undoubtedly the man in front of me who did it.
[Who is this?] Wen Nan frowned, his tone already becoming unfriendly.
[Li the Fool from the same village, he also has a troublesome father...]
Wenzhou City watched the beggar running around and kicking things in the courtyard.
He glanced at Wen Nan, then silently stepped in front of her, determined to protect his sister no matter what danger they might face.
But before Wenzhou City could even stand in front for a second, his older sister rudely grabbed him by the back of the neck, opened the door, and put him into the room.
He was gripped by fate. The city of Wenzhou stared wide-eyed, yet dared not resist.
He wanted to be an obedient and well-behaved child.
"You play here for a while, I'll come find you when I'm done." Wen Nan said, but just as she turned her head, she seemed to remember something else.
He handed the pastries he bought on the street to Wenzhou City.
"Eat something when you're bored."
