Chapter 11 Barely Matched

Inside the principal's office, only Xun Ting followed him in. The principal and Assistant Gu stood guard outside the door. She was startled and subconsciously stopped, wanting to stand at the door as well.

"Miss Xunting, please go inside." Assistant Gu immediately saw what she was thinking, and with a motherly smile, he stood silently in front of the door.

"..." No, Xun felt only despair upon hearing this, and weakly cried out for help in her heart. Damn it, she had just been so recklessly "concerned" about Master Huo. Wasn't going in now just courting death?

"Xunting, don't be afraid, we're all outside, come in quickly." The principal couldn't help but persuade him, afraid that Master Huo would be even more unhappy.

Xun Ting's lips twitched. It was precisely because they were all outside and she was the only one going in that she was afraid.

Is the principal blatantly lying to fool the children?

Seeing that she was hesitant and had no intention of going in, Gu Zhu thoughtfully closed the glass door of the principal's office for her, preventing her from leaving.

The person who was listening was furious!

The man on the sofa sounded impatient, his tone dark: "Come here."

Xun Ting, seemingly undeterred by death, took small steps over and stopped beside the man, showering him with flattery.

"Mr. Huo, what brings you to our school today? Is this fate? Does heaven know I admire you, and so it has specially granted us this meeting?"

"Um."

Her eyes widened. Huh? Just one "huh"? Damn, she couldn't respond to that.

Xun Ting had no choice but to grit his teeth and continue, "Mr. Huo, my offense today was not intentional. It's all because I love you so much. I want to know even the smallest bit of information about you. Don't worry, I will keep this love in my heart and will never bother you!"

She spoke with deep emotion, her expression conveying a genuine desire to avoid further disturbance, as she half-squatted beside the man.

Mr. Huo lowered his eyes slightly, watching her cherry-red lips chatter incessantly, her small face filled with seriousness, it seemed he truly loved her.

For the first time in his life, he, who had been devoid of conscience, felt a sense of justice. If she loved him deeply, giving her a chance might not be so bad. His voice was cold and menacing: "How much do you love her?"

Xun Ting was taken aback, raised her eyes and stared straight at the man. Her bright, watery eyes were momentarily blank, but she quickly came to her senses and let out a dry laugh.

"I love you... I'll love you until the end of time! Even if the whole world opposes us being together, I will risk everything and bear the stigma to be with you. But I know I'm not worthy. I'll only think about these things. Don't worry, Mr. Huo! I know my limits."

Huo Lin's long, slender, fair fingers tapped rhythmically on the armrest, his eyes filled with a smile as he looked at her.

A good-tempered person would speak in a much more indulgent tone: "I'll give you special privileges; I'll allow you to pursue me."

"???" Did she have something wrong with her ears? Xun Ting was on the verge of tears. She didn't need any special privileges; she just wanted the villain to not kill her or care about her.

"Not willing?" After a long while, when he didn't hear the woman's excited gratitude, Huo Lin frowned slightly, somewhat displeased.

"No, no, no, I'd be more than willing, but... am I worthy?" Xun Ting emphasized the last three words, hoping the man would retract his decision.

As expected... lying is wrong!

One lie requires countless lies to cover it up.

Seeing the woman's excited expression, Huo Lin's mood instantly improved. So she was worried that he wasn't good enough for her? He chuckled softly, "Barely good enough."
