These words made Xun Mengmeng's face turn red. She seemed not to have expected Xun Ting to be so vulgar in her retort, but she still couldn't bring herself to do something as shameful as slapping someone.
If I don't do it, wouldn't that be a way of proving that what I just said was insincere?
Before she could react, Xun Ting had already stepped into the school.
Xun Mengmeng watched her retreating figure, gritting her teeth in anger. What's the use of being arrogant? She'll still have to leave school after the exams. A defeated opponent is a defeated opponent.
"Today's exam is also the day we kick out the last place in the grade. I don't care how many points you get, just do your best. If I find anyone cheating, it won't be as simple as just getting out of school!"
The homeroom teacher held a stack of test papers in his hands, his words pointed, and his gaze fell on Xun Ting.
The crowd looked at Xun Ting with mocking eyes. He had boasted yesterday, but he was going to slap himself in the face today. How shameful!
"Okay, now we'll distribute the test papers."
The moment the test paper was handed out, Xun Ting gripped her pen and quickly filled in the answers without hesitation.
Seeing this, they couldn't help but mock, "Look at them, they've already started filling in the blanks randomly right after the exam."
Twenty minutes into the exam, Xun Ting raised his hand and said, "I'm handing in my paper."
"Holy crap! Is she that pretentious? She won't even sit in the meeting and is handing in her paper now. How is she going to pass? Even if she knew how to do it, she wouldn't have enough time to think about the answers."
Someone couldn't help but speak up.
The homeroom teacher immediately glared at them. "Quiet down. The exams aren't over yet. Some people are just bad apples and don't belong in our class. What you need to do is improve yourselves and mind your own business, understand?"
"Understood." The response came in unison, and the entire room fell silent.
As Xun Ting stepped out the door, a smile crept onto her red lips. Was this all the homeroom teacher could say—"Don't meddle in other people's business"? A rotten apple, huh?
The following exams were the same. I was the first to hand in my paper, and I spent no more than thirty minutes answering the questions. One of the teachers couldn't bear to watch anymore and advised me to think it over carefully, saying that I might come up with the answer.
Forced into a corner, Xun Ting had no choice but to put the exam paper in the drawer and sleep for a little over an hour.
This move earned everyone's thumbs up. Even when he was about to be kicked out of school, he didn't forget to show off. They were impressed.
...
...
The moment the exam results came out, the homeroom teacher held a grade sheet, her brows furrowed. She had never seen a student successfully cheat during an exam before; this was the first time!
"Xun Ting, tell me? How did you cheat on the exams? How did you manage to get full marks in all subjects?"
"I did not copy."
"How could you have scored so high if you didn't cheat?" The homeroom teacher slammed her hand on the table, furious. She glared at Xun Ting, not wanting to say another word.
"Come with me to the principal's office."
"First of all, no one in the class has a higher score than me. Secondly, I can complete a test in no more than 30 minutes except for math. Based on these two points alone, how can the homeroom teacher possibly cheat?"
Xun Ting seemed to have anticipated this situation, and she chuckled softly.
She added, "Also, the proctor didn't allow me to hand in my math exam, but I slept for the next thirty minutes and didn't touch a pen. The surveillance cameras could see that."
Although Xun Ting's explanation made perfect sense, the homeroom teacher still couldn't believe that someone who was last in the class had suddenly gotten full marks in all subjects and became the top student in the grade!
"Who knows if you stole the standard answers beforehand and memorized them?"
