Chapter 243 Don't Move

"Okay." Huo Lin finally succumbed to the woman's sweet pleading. He really couldn't do anything about her and was becoming more and more indulgent towards her.

Since that's what she says, then so be it.

"How is Mr. Huo doing now?" Xun Ting's back pain was very low after the treatment, almost non-existent. She subconsciously looked at the man and asked.

She still couldn't rest easy about Fu Xi, an irresponsible author, so she had to start paying attention to the villain's company and personal situation from now on.

This way, I can avoid such a thing happening again in the future.

"Want to interfere?" Huo Lin sat down beside the hospital bed, his gaze fixed on the woman.

He hadn't expected her, who had always been indifferent to these things, to start getting involved. If she liked it, he wouldn't mind letting her manage it too. Thinking this, the man spoke softly.

"No, I won't, but... you have to be careful of Lin Qingbai." Xun Ting thought for a moment and still gave her a word of advice, to avoid the ending she would see.

Upon hearing this, Huo Lin frowned slightly, his deep gaze falling on the woman's face. Her words of caution didn't seem like a casual reminder; it was as if she knew something.

He had always known that women had many secrets, but today it seemed there were far more than that.

What do you know?

Xun Ting was stunned. She hadn't expected the man to ask if she had been too obvious.

If she said it was a world in a book, it would be too ridiculous, and the man probably wouldn't believe her. She pretended to be clueless, "I don't know anything..."

"If you don't know anything, why are you telling me to be careful of Lin Qingbai?" Huo Lin could tell that this woman didn't want to talk, and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

She thought she had concealed it well, but little did she know that she would be exposed very quickly.

That woman is so stupid, she can't even lie properly.

"You can pretend I didn't say anything, but I used to think that since he loved me so much, now that I'm with you, I'm afraid he'll be resentful and take revenge on you! Just think about how the people he sent almost hurt your leg again last time!"

Xun Ting chuckled dryly, her smile full of ingratiation, and stared intently at the man.

I was afraid he would continue to have doubts.

"Hmm." Huo Lin stared at the woman meaningfully. Although he didn't ask any further questions, it was impossible to tell whether he believed her or not.

Xun Ting lowered his head, not daring to continue speaking. The villain truly lived up to his reputation; his mind was simply insane!

Is it easy for her to lie?

Do I need to be hospitalized?

"Need not."

"Let's go back now. You can have Assistant Gu handle Xu Xinxin's situation." Xun Ting slowly climbed out of the hospital bed, the wound on her back no longer hurting.

Next time someone tries to get close to her, she probably won't treat them the same way she treated Xu Xinxin.

"Mmm." Huo Lin squatted down, his movements unusually gentle, and pulled the woman into his arms.

Xun Ting was caught off guard and was picked up. Before she could even react, she hurriedly hugged the man's neck tightly, afraid of falling.

The man glanced down at the woman in his arms, a smile involuntarily creeping onto his lips, before striding out.

"Why don't you put me down? I can walk by myself." Xun Ting couldn't help but cover her face, feeling ashamed that she had let him carry her in public.

She didn't injure her leg; she can still walk on her own.

"Don't move." Huo Lin paused, his gaze falling on the woman, and spoke calmly.
