Chapter 26: Are the villains really that bad?

Xun Ting was forced to reach out and take the villain's arm. Her gaze fell on the people coming and going around her, which made her heart skip a beat, fearing that a familiar face might suddenly appear.

She genuinely didn't want to have anything to do with the villains.

Her heart pounded with nervousness, and she couldn't help but chuckle awkwardly, "Mr. Huo, I think I should just follow behind you. A female companion is not qualified to stand next to you."

The man ignored her.

She was forced to go in like that.

They thought a bunch of people would flock to curry favor with the villain, but when they went in, apart from a few respectful greetings of "Master Huo," not a single person came up to them.

The villain... is he really that bad?

The man led her to sit on the sofa to the side, and made no further move. After a long silence, Xun Ting couldn't hold back any longer: "Mr. Huo, you sent me here just so I could sit here?"

"Wait for me here." Huo Lin unbuttoned his suit jacket, deftly took it off, and threw it at the woman, covering her entire head.

The coat still carried a faint scent of male hormones, which wasn't unpleasant.

Xun Ting pulled off her coat, her hair instantly becoming messy. She saw the man's back disappear in front of her. The coat was a bit heavy, and if you touched it, you could touch the phone and card in the pocket.

The villain specifically left his coat for her, was it because he was afraid she would run away?

As soon as the Xun family entered the house, they saw Xun Ting sitting on the luxurious sofa. Xun's father frowned, half in disbelief: "Is that Tingting? What's she doing here!"

"This is a banquet hosted by the Gu family. Where did you get this invitation? It's probably just someone who looks similar." Xun's mother frowned slightly, not believing it.

"Mom and Dad, there's something I've been hiding from you... I feel I have to tell you now. I've been seeing a luxury car in front of Xunting a lot lately. Could it be that... that person brought her here?"

Xun Mengmeng's voice was completely undisguised, and all the wealthy women nearby could hear it.

One by one, they looked in the direction they were looking and saw a beautiful young woman. They couldn't help but feel disgusted. What a waste of such a pretty face. She was actually a shameless woman.

Does she even deserve to attend such a formal occasion?

"No wonder she was in such a hurry to break off the engagement. It turns out she was having an affair. She's utterly shameless! She'd rather be a mistress than a perfectly good fiancée."

Feeling furious with nowhere to vent, the father strode toward the sofa, intending to grab her and give her a good beating.

They have no brains at all. In such a large city as H, is there anyone more powerful than the Lin family? Xun Ting actually gave up on Young Master Lin and chose an unknown rich kid instead.

"Listen, come back with me immediately!"

"Dad, is something the matter?" Xun Ting asked with a smile in her eyes, speaking slowly and deliberately. She already knew about them when the three of them were whispering among themselves.

"How dare you ask? You think you can just walk into a banquet like this? Get up and come with me."

She reached out to grab her father's arm.

Xun Ting stood up, took a step back without making a sound, and was still holding the villain's suit jacket in his hand.

"If Dad can come in, why can't I, as your daughter, come in?"

"You!" The father was speechless, after all, Xunting was still his daughter in name.

"Could it be that Dad has never treated me like a daughter, so he doesn't even want me to attend banquets?"

"What nonsense are you talking about! You...you are of course Daddy's precious daughter." Daddy could feel the gazes coming from all around him, so he could only bite the bullet and speak.
