Chapter 302 Heaven has a virtue of cherishing life.

After the two walked out, the hospital corridor was empty, with almost no one passing by. He looked at him and asked, "Why did you ask me to come out?"

"Did you really marry Master Huo willingly?" Lin Qingyan looked at her with a complicated expression, unsure if her question was too direct.

His deep eyes held a profound meaning, as if he were afraid to hear that the grievances he had suffered over the years were far greater than they imagined. If it hadn't been for his negligence, his sister wouldn't have gotten lost.

Looking back now, I feel nothing but guilt.

"Although I didn't marry him willingly, I really fell in love with him later, and he's very good to me," Xun Ting said honestly, scratching her head.

She had no power to argue at the time and got married without any explanation, and she didn't regret it later.

"So you were forced into the marriage?"

"More or less." Xun Ting thought about it and figured the meaning was about right, but at the time she didn't dare to refuse.

"Okay, I understand. Now that he's alright, come home with me." Lin Qingyan reached out to take her sister's hand and lead her away.

A man like Huo Lin might not be truly devoted to his sister forever; he needs to understand that.

Xun Ting subtly withdrew his hand, then awkwardly said, "He won't be able to sleep well if I leave."

Lin Qingyan looked at her small face, which was filled with the desire to stay, and felt a sense of disappointment. She was so concerned about that man, but was that man really worth it?

Men are prone to changing their minds.

Helpless at the determination in his sister's eyes, he didn't know how to speak, so he had to compromise, "Okay, then I'll rest in my office. If you need anything, you can come to me directly, or call me."

"Okay." Xun Ting nodded, a smile involuntarily creeping onto her lips. To put it bluntly, her brother was worried about her.

Xun Ting turned around and went back to the ward. The man on the bed was still fast asleep. She quietly lifted the blanket, climbed to the other side of the bed, and lay down.

She instinctively reached out and hugged the man's waist, burying her head against his chest. The man's broad and strong chest gave her a great sense of security, and her heart pounded.

A smile crept onto her lips; ever since the villain appeared, she felt the whole world had brightened up.

The floor-length curtains beside the hospital bed were occasionally blown up by the wind, and through the gap between the curtains and the window, one could see the moon hanging high outside.

Xun Ting quickly fell asleep, and the two on the other side slept soundly.

Lin Qingyan, on the other hand, was wide awake, her mind filled with worry for her sister and that man. She also blamed herself, for although she believed her sister was not dead, she had never seriously investigated her whereabouts.

Perhaps because she refused to admit her sister's death, she was persuaded by the so-called evidence. All of Lin Qingyan's few regrets in her life were related to her sister.

His gaze fell on rows and rows of files and documents, which had once been everything in his life.

It wasn't until one time, when he had surgery, that he temporarily left his younger sister by the roadside and had her sit in a small park waiting for him. It was then that he lost Xunting.

He remembered how much he wished he hadn't rushed back to the hospital that day, or taken his sister out to play.

It was after that incident that he left the hospital, no longer wanting to be busy saving lives.

Fortunately, Heaven has a benevolent heart, and everything has taken a turn for the better. Lin Qingyan secretly made up her mind to make amends.
