After getting out of the car, Xun Ting followed him to the president's office. Upon arriving at the door, two assistants stood silently on either side of the doorway.
Xun Ting opened the door without hesitation and went in. He saw a man sitting on the sofa behind the desk, his back to the door. He could only make out the man's tall figure and vague outline. The man seemed familiar...
Xun Ting couldn't help but chuckle. Was he trying to strike up a conversation? It felt strangely familiar.
Her soft laughter drew the man's attention. He swiveled his chair to look at her. "Do you know how much the Huo family lost because of that contract you stole?"
His deep, magnetic voice was incredibly pleasant to listen to, and his features were sharply defined and three-dimensional.
His eyebrows were as black as ink, well-defined and upright. Below them were a pair of deep black eyes, dark and unfathomable, giving off an invisible pressure. His nose was straight and prominent. All his features seemed to have been carefully sculpted by the heavens.
The only flaw was that her thin lips were pale and weak, and there were faint dark circles under her eyes.
Just by looking at him and listening, it was clear that this man was in very poor health! He probably suffered from chronic insomnia, which had caused his overall physical decline.
Xun Ting suddenly snapped out of his daze and asked his question nonchalantly, "How much?"
"Hundreds of millions, tell me how I'm supposed to deal with you, hmm?" Huo Lin said in a low voice, his face, which was already devoid of smiles, now looked even more gloomy and unpleasant.
What he admired even more was that someone actually dared to touch Huo's contract; was it because he had been too low-key recently?
"It wasn't me who did it, so what can you do to me?" Xun Ting swallowed hard, pretending to be strong on the surface, but she was actually a little scared inside. She was afraid of this man from the bottom of her heart.
Just like she used to tease him like that...
As the memories of this man and the Rolls-Royce overlapped in her mind, Xun Ting couldn't help but frown deeply. Did she know this man? This wasn't the first time memories of him had surfaced.
Huo Lin couldn't help but smile as he listened to her words. So you're going to deny it to the death?
He pushed his computer to show her.
Xun Ting walked over, pretending to be calm, and turned on the computer. She found that it showed her the entire process from leaving the Lin family home to accepting the task at the internet cafe, in such detail that it was not edited.
She was so focused on manipulating the evidence that she forgot about surveillance cameras.
This time, we've really messed up...
What do you want?
"Should I send you to feed the dogs or throw you into the sea?" Huo Lin tapped his long, slender fingers lightly on the desk as he spoke in a low voice.
This was the first time in all the years that the Huo family had climbed to the top that they had encountered someone so audacious.
Are you willing to risk your life for money?
Huo Lin lowered his eyes, his heart clenched at the thought of killing her, and he found it hard to breathe. He felt very familiar with this woman when he saw her yesterday, but today he couldn't bear to do it. Did they really not know each other?
"Have we met before?"
“No.” Xun Ting shook her head, then, remembering that she had no memory, added, “I don’t know either, I have no memory of the past.”
"Hmm." Huo Lin responded indifferently, feeling that it was impossible for them to know each other. He had not lost his memory and did not know her. He had no memory of her in his mind, but she just felt familiar.
There's a sense of déjà vu.
Thinking of this, Huo Lin couldn't help but sneer. He actually had that same old, cliché flirting feeling? It seemed so familiar…
"Do you also feel that I look familiar?" Xun Ting asked timidly.
