Gu Shen has never suffered a loss at the hands of others, after all, few people are as skilled as him, and the few skilled ones dare not touch him because of his status.
This woman in front of him is something else; he couldn't even land a single punch on her!
"So you're listening! I'll remember you."
However, the woman's figure had gradually disappeared at the alley entrance, and it was unknown whether she had heard what he said.
Xun Ting originally wanted to buy a computer, but when she saw that her WeChat and bank card balances totaled only 60 cents, she touched the three coins in her pocket and fell into deep thought.
She seems to be... dirt poor? Forget about a computer, she can't even afford food.
Just as she was lost in a strange doubt about life, she suddenly heard a voice from the side. Looking over, she saw an old man lying on the ground, surrounded by two people in white coats.
"What should we do? The old man's breathing is so weak, he will die before the ambulance arrives."
"We can only give him artificial respiration first to see if he can hold on for a while. We don't have advanced medical equipment right now, so we can't do anything else."
"Then who will do it for him?" The young nurse subconsciously took a step back, unwilling to step forward.
"You..." The doctor glared at her fiercely when he saw her actions. These days, nurses are unreliable.
The two dawdled, and no one stepped forward. Even passersby couldn't stand it anymore, saying, "If you keep going like this, you'll be dead in no time. What are you worrying about now?"
"Easier said than done. You try it if you dare." The nurse glared at the person who spoke. Asking a young girl in the prime of her life to kiss an old man? Impossible!
"I've never studied it, how would I know?"
Xun Ting watched for a long time, but finally couldn't stand it anymore. These two were completely unreliable. The old man didn't need any artificial respiration at all; it was clearly caused by lack of oxygen.
"Make way." She simply picked up the old man with one hand and carried him out of the crowd.
"???" Everyone's eyes widened. This is a delicate girl?
The doctor was so frightened by what he saw that he almost had a heart attack. He rushed forward to stop him, saying, "What are you doing! Don't you know that patients shouldn't be moved around? You're lifting him up so forcefully, are you going to take responsibility if something happens?"
"Get out of the way, stop crowding around, or something bad will really happen."
“You’ll get into trouble if you don’t put him down. I’m warning you, this is the dean of the medical school. If anything happens to him, you can’t afford the consequences! You’re just some random girl who came out of nowhere. How could you possibly know anything about medicine? Don’t pretend to know! I’m warning you, put him down right now.”
The doctor reached out to stop her, unwilling to let her leave, his expression showing a hint of gritted teeth.
"I promise nothing will happen." Xun Ting freed one hand to push him away, then led the old man away from the crowd and put him down.
He gently patted the old man's back, and the old man's flushed face gradually warmed up.
"You..." The doctor had just gotten up from the ground and was about to say something when the old man, who had almost stopped breathing, suddenly opened his eyes and sat up.
"This...this is coming back to life?" The onlookers were shocked, their eyes wide with disbelief.
"The old man's condition was just due to excessive oxygen deprivation in his brain, which caused dizziness and weakness. He couldn't breathe because there were too many people around him, and the area was too crowded, so there was no oxygen."
Xun Ting offered a calm explanation, glanced at the name tag on the doctor's chest—Chief Physician—and smiled.
This doctor... doesn't act like a doctor at all. Does he deserve the title of chief physician? He doesn't know anything and yet he suggested artificial respiration?
"You say there's a lack of oxygen, so there is! I think the director waking up has nothing to do with you; it just so happens that he was about to wake up."
