The next morning, the man got up early, bought breakfast, and after eating, he waited for the people sent by the Xun family to pick him up.
"Are you sure you don't need me to come with you?" Huo Lin asked, standing behind the woman.
He knew that Xunting was just visiting her relatives and that nothing would happen to them, but he was still worried. The servants didn't know Xunting at all.
"No need, just wait for me at home." Xun Ting turned around and glanced at the man.
Without hesitation, she turned her gaze away, and then the maid pushed her wheelchair to the car.
Huo Lin stood at the door watching the car drive away until it disappeared completely, leaving not even a tiny shadow. Only then did he walk back into the living room and sit on the sofa.
I've never felt so down before. I remember there was nothing I couldn't accomplish.
However, he was extremely cautious in his pursuit of listening, and even failed in some cases.
...
...
After Xunting was wheeled in by the maid, the whole family rushed over anxiously, "Tingting's back! How have you been lately? How's your health?"
"Same as before, no difference. What about you?" Xun Ting replied calmly.
When recounting this incident, she no longer felt anything like before. For the future, she only wished for her loved ones to be happy, safe, and joyful, and she would leave her own life to fate.
Providing a good life for her family was her childhood dream, and now that she has achieved it, she should be content.
Your mother was afraid that she might say something wrong that would trigger your sensitive thoughts. For a moment, her mind went blank, and all she knew was to tell you to come in quickly.
"Please sit down, please sit down. Your dad is already inside preparing the meal."
After saying this, the mother wanted to slap herself. Listen to what she was saying, even though she was sitting down! Was she deliberately stabbing her daughter in the heart?
"Mom, it's okay, I've come to terms with it." Xun Ting smiled and reassured her, her face calm and composed, as if she had long since stopped caring.
"Okay, okay, it doesn't matter whether you can stand up or not, Mom and Dad will always love you."
The mother eagerly followed behind her daughter, recommending a wheelchair and helping her sit back on the sofa. The grandmother followed behind.
Their entire family never imagined such a day would come. They had finally gotten the mansion they had always dreamed of, but now it had turned out like this.
Although life is happy now, there is a slight flaw in that happiness.
"Okay." Xun Ting could sense her family's cautiousness and was also angry at her own past willfulness. Why was she so sensitive about the things that happened to her, and why was she so confrontational with her parents?
She even refused to get close to her parents, making herself appear as someone without parents or relatives. She couldn't forget those days, and she would tell everyone she met that she was all alone.
Later, when her family came to her door, she thought she could definitely refuse them.
She overestimated herself; no one would be so heartless to their own family.
"Your dad has prepared all your favorite dishes for today. Be sure to eat a lot. Do you want to stay at home tonight?"
"No need, I'll go back tonight." Xun Ting shook her head and refused. She was still very concerned and didn't want her family to see her in such a disheveled state.
She only wanted to present a good image to her family.
