Chapter 436 Goodnight

"It won't affect my grades, I'll manage it reasonably." This was the first time Fu Xi had interjected.

In the past, no matter what happened, as long as her mother showed the slightest sign of displeasure, she would obediently shut up and stop talking, because she knew there would be no result.

But now her mother seems easier to talk to, and Fu Xi's grades have improved. She feels she can speak more confidently now, and that's what she wants.

"Your reason isn't enough for me to buy you a new phone. Your studies are the most important thing right now."

Mrs. Fu sighed, somewhat helplessly. Her daughter had finally asked her to buy something in exchange for something else, and she could consider it, but she was still hesitant about the phone.

Because some students are addicted to playing games and using mobile phones, which affects their eyesight and their studies.

"Okay, then forget it." Seeing that she couldn't persuade her, Fu Xi simply gave up and decided to buy one herself later. After all, she was already a teenager, and she wouldn't be happy using a phone with no functions.

She just wanted a phone with all the necessary functions; it didn't need to be expensive or be a particular brand.

At least it's convenient for me to use.

After finishing her meal, Fu Xi went back to her room. She still found her old phone increasingly unpleasant to look at, so she turned on her computer and looked at the drafts she had written when she had inspiration.

The more she looked at it, the more problems she noticed. She couldn't help but make some changes, and once she was satisfied, she turned off the computer, lay down on the big bed, and prepared to go to sleep.

Fu Xi had gotten used to checking her phone every day because Wen Xiyang would always send her a message, but today her phone was empty; no one had sent her a message.

Fu Xi lingered on Wen Xiyang's page for a long time, still unsure what message to send, so she simply gave up. She put her phone on the table with the screen off, ready to go to sleep, but found she wasn't sleepy at all.

She couldn't help but get up and grab her phone, but there were still no messages.

Why didn't Wen Xiyang send a message today? Is it because of that gift that cost a dozen yuan?

Fu Xi usually goes to bed around 9 PM, but today she stayed up until 11 PM. Finally, she couldn't resist sending the man a message: "Are you asleep?"

The reply came almost instantly: "Why aren't you asleep yet? Don't you have school tomorrow?"

"I can't sleep tonight." Fu Xi didn't dare say that she hadn't received his message, so she made up an excuse.

She didn't dare ask the man why he hadn't sent her a message today.

Go to sleep early. I was a bit busy at work today and forgot to message you. Later, when I had some free time, I realized it was getting late and I didn't want to wake you, so I didn't send a message.

If you really can't sleep, put on a song, close your eyes, and be good. I'll bring you breakfast to pick you up tomorrow morning.

"Okay." Fu Xi felt a little better after seeing the man's explanation.

Holding her phone, she couldn't help but smile. She put the phone down and went to sleep, judging from the speed at which the man replied to her messages and the explanations he gave.

Wen Xiyang remained unchanged, showing no alteration whatsoever because of the small doll that cost a dozen yuan.

"Good night." Fu Xi put her phone on the table next to her and said softly. She didn't know who she was talking to. Although she slept late that night, she felt very at ease.

When Fu Xi woke up the next day, breakfast was already prepared on the table. She had no choice but to eat a little before heading to the bus stop.
