From initially being full of doubt and annoyance towards this man, I now feel nothing but gratitude towards him, because it was because of his perseverance that I am where I am today.
Xun Ting never imagined that he could live like a normal person again.
"Huo Lin, thank you."
"What are you thanking me for?" Huo Lin couldn't help but smile. He himself couldn't believe that Xun Ting had really recovered. At first, he was also worried that she wouldn't be cured.
After all, he had promised Xunting that if he couldn't cure her, he would disappear from her sight forever.

After walking quite a distance, she realized the man hadn't followed. She instinctively stopped and turned around, looking at the man still standing there.
A smile involuntarily crept up his lips. The man was tall, slender yet wiry, with a perfectly proportioned physique.
"Would you like to eat out?" Huo Lin noticed the woman had stopped and immediately went up to her. He hadn't asked anyone to cook because he thought the checkup wouldn't be that simple.
I was worried that if I cooked too early, the food would be cold by the time they got back. It was too late to tell them to cook then, so it was better to just eat out.
Since recovering, Xun Ting hasn't had a proper chance to play outside.
"Okay." Xun Ting nodded, knowing that it was time to stop looking now. By the time they finished explaining and went back, it would be very late, and besides, the aunt had already gone home.
It's so much trouble to go to the trouble of finding them again.
"Let's go." Huo Lin took the lead and walked ahead, gesturing for the woman to follow.
“Okay.” Xun Ting immediately followed.
The two walked together to a restaurant with a strong local flavor. They sat down and ordered food. The waiters were so enthusiastic that it was hard to resist.
During the meal, Xun Ting casually chatted about it.
"Huo Lin, I don't think someone with your figure and face should have to resort to handling so many contracts for others, plus working as a caregiver."
She was telling the truth. With Huo Lin's height and looks, even if he didn't want to be a gigolo, he could be a model or something similar, which would be very lucrative and easy.
He chose two more tiring jobs: working as a caregiver and handling contracts for others.
"If I said it was because of you, would you believe me?" Huo Lin chuckled, half-seriously and half-jokingly. His deep eyes narrowed, making it even harder to guess the truth behind his words.
The unfathomable gaze made her a little uncomfortable. She lowered her head and ate a few mouthfuls of rice before looking up after a while, her tone completely joking, "I believe you, after all, I'm so beautiful and rich."
"Hmm." Huo Lin didn't bring it up again and lowered his head to eat.
He didn't want the woman to think that he found her a doctor so that he could be with her. People in this world don't trust anyone, and they would only think that he was scheming.
Huo Lin didn't want all the goodwill he had painstakingly built up in a woman's heart to disappear.
"The food at this restaurant is really delicious. I'll definitely come back more often. It's very appetizing," Xun Ting praised, admitting that it was indeed delicious.
