Chapter 409 The Little Princess Falls from Grace

“Okay, be careful on your way home later. Come over and visit often when you have time. Your dad, mom, grandpa, and grandma are all pretty free, so you can come over and chat with us.” The mother eagerly chimed in.

Since my daughter's accident, I have become increasingly silent, and I rarely appear in front of them, maybe only twice a year.

They were also surprised that their daughter would join a group chat and send photos that day.

"Okay." Xun Ting nodded. She had to admit that she was in a particularly good mood today. No matter how indifferent or heartless she was, it didn't change the fact that she would be happy when someone was with her.

There's a reason why no one likes being alone.

"Mom, I heard that the new caregiver you hired is a man. What's he like? Is he clumsy? Maybe I should go and take care of you myself."

"Grandma can do it too. Anyway, I'm an old lady who's bored at home all day without moving around." Grandma Xun sat next to her, watching her granddaughter whom she had raised since she was a baby.

She naturally noticed the changes in her granddaughter, but no matter how much she changed, she was still her granddaughter.

"No need, the caregiver is very good. Just take good care of yourselves." Xun Ting felt a warm glow in her heart as she accepted the concern from her two elders.

The only thing she can do now is to stop dragging her family down with her current state and not let her horrible appearance affect their mood.

Sometimes, seeing your loved ones happy makes you happy too.

"Okay then, be sure to call us immediately if anything happens."

"Yes, I will." Xun Ting's thoughts drifted back to a long, long time ago, when she was spoiled and willful, and could complain for a long time over the smallest things.

Sometimes I would talk so much that my family would get impatient and not want to listen anymore. Even as I grew up, I couldn't shake the habit of talking. Eventually, I changed to what I am now, and I've lost that habit.

She increasingly prefers to keep all her thoughts to herself and not tell anyone. If others can't discover what she truly wants, she'd rather not have it at all.

Before she turned fifteen, although her family wasn't very wealthy, she lived like a little princess because her parents never skimped on what they were supposed to give her.

Her parents would do their best to fulfill her wishes, and the neighbors around her also doted on her.

Then one day, a dramatic change occurred. This little princess finally climbed to the very top of the altar, and thought that the happiest life was about to begin.

But no one expected that he would fall so badly from such a high place, completely falling from his pedestal.

She didn't even have a chance to speak out before she lost her chance to climb back onto her pedestal. She didn't blame anyone; she had accepted her current inability to live independently.

There is no perfect life in this world.

If it weren't for her own actions, things wouldn't be in this situation today.

Xunting really, really wants to go back to the past, to the time when she was a little princess standing on the altar, before she climbed up or fell down. That was the happiest time.

"Dinner's ready!" Dad quickly came out of the kitchen carrying stacks of dishes.

He kept a smile on his face the whole time, trying to make his daughter feel less restrained.

"Listen, these are all your favorite dishes, hurry up and eat!" Mother Xun couldn't wait to pick up the dishes that her daughter loved most and put them into her bowl.

"Okay, you guys eat too."
